Guiding positions are a HEAVILY tipped position.  Guides, especially the most personable ones, tend to generate rather large tips on every single trip.  It has always been customary for guests to tip the guide.

We do pay guides hourly and typically start at $15.00 / Hour and go up for experience and certifications held, such as CDL, Trip Leader Status, Swiftwater Rescue, EMT, WFR, Fishing Expertise, etc.

As a rule of thumb (not a guarantee) most guides tend to average $20-30/ Hour when working a trip

Sage Requirements to Work

• We prefer full-time employees. Part-time work is difficult for you as an employee, as well as for us - the shift schedulers - due to the ever-changing demand as the tourist season ebbs and flows.

• Sage is a drug-free workplace.

• All applicants must agree to a Nationwide criminal and driving background check, as well as pass a pre-employment drug screen.

• Upon hire, all employees must agree to be entered in a random drug/alcohol screening pool for the duration of their employment.
