My seasonal life started back in 2018. Stuck in a bad relationship, and living out of a motel while working at a Best Buy, I knew if I didn’t do something, I’d be homeless.  I started searching for jobs that included housing, and it led me to a Reddit post about CoolWorks. Intrigued, I checked it out. I was astounded that there were people that shared the same love of travel as me and that companies offered housing. I was sold.

My first park was Acadia National Park, on the beautiful Mt. Desert Island. I worked retail at the Jordan Pond House and couldn’t believe I got to not only live in such a stunning place, but it really reignited my love of photography. Since then, CoolWorks and seasonal life have led me on the adventure of a lifetime, from Maine, to California, to Minnesota, to Alaska, and now Utah. My next two adventures include Colorado, and back up to one of the most stunning places, Alaska. I hope that I can continue to hone my photography skills, as well as my skills in retail.

I always tell people who ask me about seasonal work absolutely do it. Doesn’t matter what age, or where you’re from. If you have a love of nature, adventure, travel, and meeting the most awesome people, then take the dive. I know my life has been changed for the better because of it.
