About Badlands Cedar Pass Lodge

Cedar Pass Lodge offers careers across hospitality, retail, culinary, operations, food service, and maintenance. It’s the perfect place to pursue what matters, whether you’re looking for a seasonal opportunity or ready to build a long-lasting career. 

 Located on South Dakota Highway 240, South of I-90, our seasonal operation includes 26 guest units, a restaurant, a gift store, and RV lot, and campground. Aramark also operates Badlands Inn, located three miles west in the town of Interior, SD.

Badlands employees love where we work, share a passion for hospitality, and believe in the mission of the National Park Service. Our summer season runs from mid-April through mid-October, so our ideal candidates are available for the full span of our operating season.  

Room and Board

Cedar Pass Lodge offers shared employee housing with laundry onsite. Rent is $105/week, which includes full access to the Employee Dining Room. Wi-fi is also available for staff use. Housing is within walking distance of sports courts & other activity areas. The property also has RV and trailer sites with full hook-up available. 

Housing and RV sports are located at Aramark’s Minute Man location, just 11 miles north of Cedar Pass Lodge. There is a free shuttle to work and back to housing.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Cedar Pass Lodge provides transportation to and from the airport and bus depot for pick up and drop off at the beginning and end of every work season. The airport closest to the property is Rapid City Regional Airport, and the Jefferson Bus Depot is located at the Milo Barber Transportation Center in Rapid City. Additionally, a vehicle is not a necessity at Badlands, but it is convenient due to the remote location of the lodge.

In South Dakota’s Badlands, you’ll have the unique opportunity to explore and experience one of the most beautiful places in the world, surrounded by nature with miles of geographic splendor and unrivaled scenic vistas. Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, and Mt. Rushmore are all enjoyed by employees during their time at Cedar Pass Lodge, as well as Rapid City - located just an hour and a half away. 

The Cedar Pass Lodge team offers planned recreational opportunities, and teammates can enjoy game rooms, group sports, picnics, and shopping trips.
