Position: Bar Manager
Duration: April 26th to October 5th

Overview:
Join us for a thrilling season at our high-energy adventure resort and golf course. We are seeking a self-starter to excel in the role of Bar Manager. The ideal candidate will take charge of training and overseeing staff, ensuring the bar is clean, fun, and operates efficiently. This leadership role requires a commitment to safety regulations, maintaining a well-stocked inventory, delivering top-notch customer service, and focusing on sales opportunities to ensure our guests have a memorable experience. Previous experience is preferred, and a Serve Safe Manager certification is required before the start date.

Responsibilities:

Managing and Scheduling Bar Staff:

• Oversee the training and scheduling of bar staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and provide continuous training for skill enhancement.

Establishing Connections with Customers:

• Foster a welcoming atmosphere by actively engaging with customers, building rapport, and addressing their needs.
• Train staff to prioritize customer satisfaction, encouraging a positive and friendly environment.

Providing Timely Service:

• Implement efficient service procedures to minimize wait times and ensure guests receive prompt and attentive service.
• Monitor service quality and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Taking Orders, Mixing, and Serving Drinks:

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology.
• Train staff in taking accurate orders, mixing cocktails, and serving drinks with attention to presentation and quality.

Handling Transactions:

• Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Implement and monitor point-of-sale (POS) systems for smooth and secure transactions.

Assisting Kitchen Staff:

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination between the bar and kitchen operations.
• Assist in food preparation and timely delivery, maintaining quality standards.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

• Enforce rigorous cleanliness standards in the bar area, bathrooms, workspaces, and tables.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement cleaning schedules for staff to follow.

Managing Inventory:

• Implement effective inventory management systems to track stock levels and minimize waste.
• Regularly assess inventory needs, place orders, and collaborate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.

Greeting and Checking Golfers In/Out:

• Extend a warm welcome to golfers, providing information about services and facilities.
• Efficiently check golfers in and out, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Organizing Special Events:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute special events such as golf outings, tournaments, and themed nights.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote events and attract a diverse clientele.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
