  • PM Dining Room Server

    Dining Room

    Primary Purpose of Position
    Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guests’ tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.  Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up of the restaurant/bar. 
    2. Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes in the restaurant. 
    3. Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
    4. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation. 
    5. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
    6. Maintain complete knowledge of POS system and manual systems.
    7. Complete all opening and closing side duties as assigned.
    8. Organize assigned station and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival.
    9. Review daily specials and maintain awareness of 86’d items throughout the shift.
    10. Take guests’ food and beverage order, utilizing suggestive techniques.
    11. Input order into POS system and ensure transmission of food order and that order is verified by the kitchen. 
    12. Retrieve all alcoholic beverages from the bar and serve to guests.
    13. Open and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with departmental standards.
    14. Make all varieties of coffee in accordance with the departmental standards.
    15. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service area.
    16. Guide the activities of the assigned assistant server, busser and food runner to ensure optimum service to the guest.
    17. Clean and reset tables immediately after guest departs.
    18. Complete all closing reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to supervisor.

    Education/Experience

    1. 2 year experience as a fine dining server.
    2. 5 year experience in industry.
    3. Very good knowledge of wines, spirits and beers.
    4. Very good product knowledge, preparation and cooking techniques.
    5. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers.
    6. Food Handlers Certification.
    7. High school graduate or equivalent and some college.
    8. Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
    9. Certification in alcohol awareness program.
    10. Previous computer training on POS systems.

    Primary Purpose of Position
    The function of the Bellman/Driver is to work closely with the Front Desk staff to provide a positive first and last impression to guests when they arrive and depart the Ranch. Assist guests with their luggage, transportation and miscellaneous needs. Responsible for parking all cars quickly yet safely. The care and attention that goes with this position are crucial to the success of The Ranch as they convey a critical message to the guests about the property’s commitment to service.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Up to date with Daily arrivals/departures, in-house count;
      •  Know all room types, layout, décor, appointments and location;
      • Be able to communicate all the features and services of the hotel;
      • Share the hours of operation of each outlet;
      • Maintain parking facilities, layout and procedures.
    • Greet arriving guests/visitors and bid farewell to departing guests/visitors.
    • Assist guests and visitors into and out of their vehicles and assist with luggage and set up in accommodation.
    • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and offer to park vehicle for guest, if applicable.
    • Ensure security of vehicle and its keys.
    • Ensure all driveways are kept clear, and vehicles are not parked or left standing in illegal spaces.
    • Answer departmental telephone within 3 rings, using proper greeting and telephone etiquette.
    • Document phone requests for retrieving vehicles as specified; record time of completion.
    • Retrieve guest vehicle keys from secured location and retrieve guest's vehicle from parking facility, following departmental procedures.
    • Release vehicle to guest upon proper authorization of claim tickets. Open vehicle doors, assist guest into their car and close doors.

    Activities Department

    Primary Purpose of Position
    Create a high-level experience for our guest by providing a fun, safe, clean and educational environment; as an Activities Guide you are responsible for leading and guiding guest on their daily activities. The activities department consists of the following guide roles: hiking, mountain biking, gun ranges, horseback, archery, fly fishing, paintball and kids program. All activities team members are expected to have some experience in these disciplines, personable and customer services oriented. Priority given to those who can start immediately and who can stay through October 2022.
    Preference given to candidates with multiple skills.

    Education/Experience

    Primary Purpose of Position

    Responsible for planning and executing the successful achievement of Rooms revenue as defined by the annual operating budget.

    1. Proactively drive market share and revenue performance.

    2. Constantly monitor defined competitive set and make timely, appropriate yielding decisions.

    3. Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels.

    4. Review Group / Event P&Ls to ensure profitability is being met with every piece of business.

    1. Guide trail rides with Ranch guests, and oversee that all riders stay safe and expectations are exceeded.
    2. Interact with guests to make each ride is safe, educational and fun.
    3. Participate in barn activities such as stagecoach rides, barn dances, breakfast rides, and rodeos.
    4. Assist in the care of herd health, bringing concerns or issues to the Barn Manager’s attention.
    5. Perform daily chores and ensure tack and supplies are in good working order.
    6. Proactively help coworkers in the barn and throughout the Ranch with day-to-day tasks.

    Education/Experience

    1. High school diploma and valid, current Driver’s License.
    2. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
    3. 5+ years of working with horses in any environment (training, trail rides, competition).
    4. Trained and competent in western riding.
    5. Rodeo experience preferred.
    6. Teamster experience preferred.
    7. Basic equine first aid.
    8. Must be able to life up to 50 lbs with little accommodation. 
    9. Previous Wrangler experience in a Hospitality area preferred.

  • Maintenance Associate

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Performs daily walk through of Lodge to inspect boiler operations, systems function, and pool operation.
    2. Removes trash from Lodge area daily.
    3. Stocks firewood.
    4. Performs repairs on buildings under the supervision of Director of Engineering.
    5. Assists in moving any equipment or furniture around the Ranch that might be needed for special functions.

    Primary Purpose of Position

    The Events Coordinator position will plan, organize and help execute events for large groups. This position will work under the Events Manager, and should be present during event executions.



    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Have intimate knowledge of all on-Ranch activities and function spaces.
    2. Be the point of contact, communicate to group and/or group contact via email, phone calls and in person to ensure that the group itineraries are accurately maintained.
    3. Prepare for each catering/group arrival, prepare pickup, billing information, deposits, filing, VIP information, correspondence, etc...; interact with booking contacts as needed. Correctly record catering/group rooms and revenue in the property management system.
    4. Create and update catering/group block notes to provide relevant data pertaining to all reservations and coordinate with other departments as needed to provide reservation information and needs as specified in contract.
    5. Attend Resume/BEO meeting and group pre-convention meetings.
    6. Develops and distributes in-house Banquet event orders, Resumes, pre and post events and makes all necessary revisions.
