    Food and Beverage

    Bartender

    $16.00 / hour
    Philipsburg

    Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to work at the world’s first Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star guest ranch and glamping destination. The Ranch at Rock Creek offers year-round unique vacations on an authentic 19th-century homestead. Luxury service is provided with genuine warmth and hospitality.

    Dining Room

    Dining Room Server

    $15.00 - $16.00 / hour + tips
    Philipsburg

    Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guests’ tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.  Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.  Provide quality service.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Provide 5 Star service to Ranch Standards
    2. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up of the restaurant/bar.
    3. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
    4. Facilitate in room dining service when necessary
    5. Execute BEOs pertaining to Food and Beverage Dept.
    6. Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes in the restaurant.
    7. Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
    8. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
    9. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.
    10. Maintain complete knowledge of POS system and manual systems.
    11. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.
    12. Complete all opening side duties as assigned.
    13. Organize assigned station and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival.
    14. Review daily specials and maintain awareness of 86’d items throughout the shift.
    15. Confidently articulate menu items to guests
    16. Record order of guest following department service procedures.
    17. Correctly submit food order to kitchen
    18. Retrieve all alcoholic beverages from the bar and serve to guests.
    19. Open and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with departmental standards.
    20. Make all varieties of coffee in accordance with the departmental standards.
    21. Understand and anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however
    22. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
    23. Handle guest complaints following procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
    24. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service area.
    25. Guide the activities of the assigned assistant server, bus-person and food runner to ensure optimum service to the guest.
    26. Clean and reset tables immediately after guest departs.
    27. Complete closing duties as assigned.

     

    Preferred education/experience

    1. Preferred 2 year experience as a fine dining server.
    2. Preferred 5 year experience in industry
    3. Very good knowledge of wines, spirits and beers
    4. Very good product knowledge – preparation and cooking techniques
    5. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
    6. High school graduate or equivalent and some college.

     

    Optional:

    1. Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
    2. Certification in alcohol awareness program
    3. Certification in CPR.
    4. Previous computer training on POS systems.
    5. Prior training in guest relations. Prior training in guest relations.

     

    Special Skills/Equipment

    Transportation

    Driver/Bell Staff

    $15.00 / hour + tips
    Philipsburg

    The function of the Bellman/Driver is to work closely with the Front Desk staff to provide a positive first and last impression to guests when they arrive and depart the Ranch. Assist guests with their luggage, transportation and miscellaneous needs. Responsible for parking all cars quickly yet safely. The care and attention that goes with this position are crucial to the success of The Ranch as they convey a critical message to the guests about the property’s commitment to service.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Up to date with Daily arrivals/departures, in-house count;
      •  Know all room types, layout, décor, appointments and location;
      • Be able to communicate all the features and services of the hotel;
      • Share the hours of operation of each outlet;
      • Maintain parking facilities, layout and procedures.
    • Greet arriving guests/visitors and bid farewell to departing guests/visitors.
    • Assist guests and visitors into and out of their vehicles and assist with luggage and set up in accommodation.
    • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and offer to park vehicle for guest, if applicable.
    • Ensure security of vehicle and its keys.
    • Ensure all driveways are kept clear, and vehicles are not parked or left standing in illegal spaces.
    • Answer departmental telephone within 3 rings, using proper greeting and telephone etiquette.
    • Document phone requests for retrieving vehicles as specified; record time of completion.
    • Retrieve guest vehicle keys from secured location and retrieve guest's vehicle from parking facility, following departmental procedures.
    • Release vehicle to guest upon proper authorization of claim tickets. Open vehicle doors, assist guest into their car and close doors.
    • Maintain accurate knowledge of local attractions and activities to recommend for guest inquiries.
    • Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Constantly maintain cleanliness of vehicles
    • Follow our Core Values and provide amazing service for our guests.

    Education/Experience

    • Clean driving record, valid, current Driver's License.
    • Previous experience working in a Bellman capacity preferred. 
    • Customer Service experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
    • HS Diploma
    • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.

    Hotel Front Desk

    Front Desk Agent

    $15.00 - $16.00 / hour + tips
    Philipsburg

    Guest Services Agent is the primary liaison between The Ranch and our guests; Agents represent our property to guests throughout their stay.  Guest Service Agents handle all arrival and departure procedures ensuring that Forbes Five Star standards are met at at times. Perhaps most importantly, Agents are responsible for managing guest requests while in-house in an efficient, courteous and professional manner. 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities, Ranch features and services, accommodations layout, arrivals and departures procedures and hours of operations for the various Ranch outlets.
    2. Address guest concerns, requests and special requirements by facilitating inter-departmental communication to assure guest requests are handled in a timely basis and to the highest standards.
    3. Relay accurate information to guests regarding local attractions/activities as well as on-site Ranch activities, spa treatments and food and beverage events.
    4. Help manage the arrival process by preparing and printing registration cards and waivers. When placing welcome materials in the accommodations, perform a final inspection.
    5. Perform check-in, and initiating The Ranch property tour in the Granite Lodge.  
    6. Learn our Property Management System in order to maintain reservations in-house, review arrivals before check in and troubleshoot incorrect folio postings, and update guest records.
    7. Manage the departure process by checking folio records in advance of departure, posting charges, processing adjustments and package allowances, and answering guests’ final questions.
    8. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and co-ordinations with other team members.

    Education/Experience

    1. Previous experience working as a front desk agent or in a similar role at a luxury property. 
    2. A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
    3. College or University qualifications beneficial.
    4. Two years of customer service experience required.
    5. Front Desk or hotel operations experience preferred.
    6. Ability to clearly communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
    7. Ability to provide legible written communication.
    8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-Point (required).
    9. Valid driver’s license.
    Kitchen

    Kitchen Steward

    Philipsburg
    • Maintains cleanliness standards consistent with current health department requirements ie dishwashing, mopping, sanitization of surfaces.
    • Maintains cleanliness and organization of all chemicals, cleaning equipment, and non-food items throughout kitchen facility.
    • Executes cleaning and sanitation of cooking equipment throughout kitchen as requested by Exec Chef, Exec Sous Chef, and Sous Chef.
    • Assists with basic food prep as well as plating assistance for banquets and special parties.
    • When required, participates in putting away of all food inventory.
    • Adheres to Ranch policies and procedures.
    • Performs duties as workload necessitates.
    • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
    • Communicates regularly and effectively with Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef/Sous Chef about departmental issues.

    • Knowledge of raw materials, food production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective production and services of prepared food.
    • Knowledge of relevant equipment as it pertains to procedures and operation of safe use.
    • Basic knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances and the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.  This primarily pertains to materials used for cleaning and sanitation.
    Culinary

    PM Cook

    $15.00 - $17.00 / hour

    Line Cook is a person who is in charge of preparing the food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas in the kitchen. He/she is also responsible for cleaning and maintaining the station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
     

    Full-time, year-round employees enjoy a benefits package that includes insurance, PTO, and holidays.  Employees who successfully complete the season will be eligible for a bonus.  Shared, onsite staff housing is available to employees at no cost. The Ranch also provides complimentary access to basic food items and a daily lunch provided by our staff cook.

    19. Maintains and enforces proper rotation of product with fellow team members at all times.
    20. Collaborates with other personnel to plan and develop recipes, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of members and guests.
    21. Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
    22. Checks the quantity and quality of received products.
    23. Follows sanitation practices, standards and regulations.

     

    Education/Experience

    Granite Spa

    Spa Supervisor

    Philipsburg

    Will assist the Spa Manager in all daily operations of The Granite Spa including but not limited to training and scheduling spa staff, along with booking guest appointments; ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction. Help with workload and perform spa services as scheduled. Assist with Spa and Wellness programming and marketing. Monitor facility maintenance, function, and cleanliness. Oversee spa therapists using the ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve goals.

    • Assists in developing a comprehensive standard facility operations manual, including written policies and procedures for all facility services, administration, and maintenance using The Ranch at Rock Creek template.
    • Assists Spa Manager to recruit, hire, and mentor therapists to promote career growth through training, development and performance assessments.
    • Provides excellent Forbes 5 Star Service. Monitors guest feedback. Supervises and follows up on guest requests and comments.
    • Perform spa services in accordance with written protocols.
    • Ensures all spa staff are implementing Forbes Five Star standards at all times.. Ensures spa staff is adhering to the LQA and spa script for standards.
    • Inputs staffing schedule in spa software and assists with monitoring and adjusting daily scheduling with assistance of Spa Manager.
    • Supervises effective daily operations including opening and closing procedures, & general facility maintenance.
    • Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events, capable of standing for a long period of time.
    • Helps ensure that the facility is only accessed by guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
    • Implements a strong guest check in and check out experience for guests that utilize The Granite Spa during their stay
    • Pays close attention to The Granite Spa profit and loss, and staffing, inventory and purchasing.
    • Assists Spa Manager in any other assignments or demands.

    Qualifications:

    • Montana Licensure in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, or both.
    • College degree, or comparable work/education experience

    Event and Groups Coordinator

    $15.00 - $17.00 / hour

    Primary Purpose of Position

    The Events Coordinator position will plan, organize and help execute events for large groups. This position will work under the Events Manager, and should be present during event executions.



    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Have intimate knowledge of all on-Ranch activities and function spaces.
    2. Be the point of contact, communicate to group and/or group contact via email, phone calls and in person to ensure that the group itineraries are accurately maintained.
    3. Prepare for each catering/group arrival, prepare pickup, billing information, deposits, filing, VIP information, correspondence, etc...; interact with booking contacts as needed. Correctly record catering/group rooms and revenue in the property management system.
    4. Create and update catering/group block notes to provide relevant data pertaining to all reservations and coordinate with other departments as needed to provide reservation information and needs as specified in contract.
    5. Attend Resume/BEO meeting and group pre-convention meetings.
    6. Develops and distributes in-house Banquet event orders, Resumes, pre and post events and makes all necessary revisions.

    Education/Experience

    1. Experience working at the Ranch at Rock Creek (Preferred)
    2. 1 year of experience working in a similar role  (Preferred)
    3. Working knowledge of Delphi and SMS (Preferred)
    4. Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience (Required)
    5. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point (Required)
    6. Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor (Required)
    7. Excellent organization skills (Required)
    8. Driver’s License
