This winter, we are hiring for:

  • Office Manager

    T-Lazy-7 Snowmobiles
    Aspen
    up to $28.00 / hour

    Starts end of October 2023

     

    In the Snowmobile Office Manager position, you will be leading a 4-person office team in providing top-level hospitality to our guests, you and the office staff are the face of the company, the first point of contact for guest, and the ones who greet the guests at the beginning of each snowmobile experience. 

    In this role, you will be…

    • painting the picture of the snowmobile experience guests will remember for a lifetime when they call to reserve a tour, and cultivating the staff's sales style and techniques
    • preserving the warmth, vibrancy and orderly presentation of the office where guests are received
    • among the first people the guests see when they arrive, and you will assist in getting them signed-in and sent-off on their winter adventure
    • interfacing with guests and addressing customer needs in support of the office staff
    • assisting radio communication with the snowmobile guides 
    • seeing to the accurate completion of office paperwork (legal waivers, incident reports, day-to-day guide and office forms)
    • scheduling office staff shifts as well as keeping company-wide time sheets
    • working with concierge and travel planners for group bookings, handling all aspects of group tours from booking to billing
    • responsible for complete, accurate end-of-day banks and reports
    • assisting with concierge relations
    • assist office staff with all of their duties

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be eligible to work in USA
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Previous management experience
    • Previous customer service experience
    • Previous retail experience
    • Previous sales experience
    • Previous office experience
    • Education level - Bachelors Degree
    • Extensive POS experience
    • Strong computer experience (able to troubleshoot issues, proficient in Microsoft Office)
    • Exceptional written and spoken English-language skills

    Seasonal Employment:

    • The Snowmobile Office Manager position is a contracted seasonal, full-time position starting at the end of October 2023, and ending April 30, 2024. 
    • Office Manager works Tuesdays through Saturdays; however, the Snowmobile Office is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm throughout the snowmobile season (including Thanksgiving and Christmas days) and Office Manager may be needed sometimes on days off.

    Starts beginning of November 2023

     

    In the Snowmobile Office/Tour and Merchandise Sales/Reservationist position, you are the face of the company, the first point of contact for a guest, and the actual start of the guests’ snowmobile excursion.

    In this role, you will be…

    • painting the picture of the snowmobile experience guests will remember for a lifetime when they call to reserve a tour
    • preserving the warmth, vibrancy, and presentation of the office and other guest areas where guests are received
    • the first person guests see when they arrive, and you will get them signed in and sent off on their winter adventure
    • the contact the snowmobile guides rely upon for communication with the home base while on the trails with guests
    • assisting with operations that support T-Lazy-7 to provide an extraordinary experience to each of our guests

     

    Office/Tour Sales/Reservationist Duties Include:

    • Answering 3-line business phone
    • Taking snowmobile tour reservations via phone and email
    • Selling/up-selling tours via phone and with walk-in guests
    • Assisting guests with purchases in our gift shop
    • Assisting guests with information requests, concerns, and issues with respect and kindness
    • Orchestrating and witnessing the signing of guest waivers
    • Collecting payment from guests
    • Operation of cash registers and POS systems
    • Recording tour and employee call-in times on radio
    • Conducting opening and closing of office/registers for daily business and ensuring that bank and daily sales sheets are accurate and complete
    • Cleaning, tidying, and maintaining the snowmobile office, gift shop, changing room, restrooms, and employee locker room
    • Shuttling guests in company vehicles
    • Selling, stocking, and inventorying company merchandise
    • Moving/lifting objects packages, merchandise and office supplies
    • Collecting and delivering mail and packages addressed to business and ranch residents 
    • Assisting ranch residents with concerns and requests
    • Snow shoveling of pathways, around the office, bathrooms, and changing room, and insuring walkways are salted or graveled as needed so that they are not slippery
    • Helping to keep guests, fellow employees, and yourself safe by carrying out Covid protocols
    • Miscellaneous office/clerical duties as assigned

     

    Additional Duties May Include:

    • Assisting with any variety of tasks required to get snowmobile operations up and running prior to the season open 
    • Manning tables at expos and gatherings for marketing purposes
    • Performing first aid and responding to and assisting with emergencies, as well as, completing and following through with incident reports, dispatch and paperwork (per company protocol)

    Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license, with no restrictions

    • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, POS systems)

    Seasonal Employment & Availability Requirement:

    • The Office/Tour Sales/Reservationist position is a contracted seasonal, full-time position starting November 3, 2023, and ending April 13, 2024.
    • The Snowmobile Office is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm throughout the snowmobile season (including Thanksgiving and Christmas days). This position typically works five days per week, approximately 8 hrs. each day, on a fluctuating weekly schedule (i.e. days off are not set) and therefore must be available to work any day throughout the season.

    In the Snowmobile Tour Guide position, you are part of a continuing tradition of providing first-rate snowmobile adventures, classing T-Lazy-7 Snowmobiles as the premier snowmobile tour company in Aspen. And because T-Lazy-7 is a ranch, your role will be unique as it will include duties that keep a ranch going in the winter!

    In this role, you will be…

    • maintaining guest safety while providing a fun snowmobiling adventure, complete with history, lunch or hot chocolate, and once-in-a-lifetime views
    • ensuring smooth and exceptional tour experiences for guests through daily tour preparation
    • part of a crew that has a long-standing reputation for being the elite in guides

    Snowmobile Guide Duties Include:

    • Guiding scenic snowmobile tours
    • Prepping snowmobiles for tours
    • Fitting guests with boots, snow suits and helmets
    • Providing instruction to guests on snowmobile operation and safety
    • Relaying history and information about the area (information provided)
    • Moving/lifting snowmobiles 
    • Performing basic maintenance of snowmobiles (changing belts and spark plugs, refilling gas, etc.)
    • Snow removal from snowmobiles, snow cats and vehicles
    • Snow shoveling from stairs, paths, and buildings
    • Snow shoveling onto trails for trail maintenance 
    • Seeing that guests maintain safety and comfort
    • Assisting with any work required to get snowmobile operations up-and-running prior to the Season open of business (if employee is available prior to season start date)
    • Shuttling guests in company vehicles
    • Performing first aid and responding to and assisting with emergencies (per company protocol)
    • Grilling hamburgers and preparing food for lunch tours, stocking supplies, setting up and breaking down refreshment stations, cleaning up after lunch
    • Cleaning/maintaining snowmobile restrooms and employee lounge
    • Hauling supplies to the Klondike and Independence cabins and warming huts via snowmobile and trailer
    • Collecting and disposing of trash from Klondike cabin, warming huts, shops, and offices
    • Making every effort to see that guests are enjoying themselves and that any guest issues are resolved with respect and kindness

     

    Additional Duties May Include:

    • Feeding the goats, llamas and other ranch animals
    • Assisting with general ranch maintenance (specifically early and late season)

     

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous guide experience
    • Previous snowmobile, ATV and/or motorcycle experience
    • Previous experience speaking in front of crowds
    • Advanced medical training

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be eligible to work in the USA
    • At least 21 years of age
    • Valid driver’s license, with no restrictions 
    • Current First Aid/CPR certification
    • Able to move/lift up to 100 lbs without injury to self
    • Able to withstand cold weather for extended periods of time
    • Able to withstand vibration, as well as hand and upper body tension of operating snowmobile for extended periods of time
    • Able to shovel snow for extended periods of time
    • Impeccable personal presentation (e.g., grooming, cleanliness, neatness)
    • Exceptional spoken English-language skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Communication on a two-way radio
    • Work well in team environment
    • Available to work a 5-day work week and more during holidays

    • The Snowmobile Tour Guide position is a contracted seasonal, full-time position starting November 27, 2023, and going through April 13, 2023.
    • Seasonal employees must be available to work all days tours are offered during the contracted time. Tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday and every day during the holidays.

    Starts beginning of November 2023

     

    In the Snowmobile Mechanic position, you will be maintaining a safe riding experience for guests while they cruise the backcountry!

    In this role, you will be…

    • responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the snowmobile fleet
    • identifying and fixing issues that occur with snowmobiles and the shuttle vehicles promptly and expertly
    • maintaining the safe record and reputation of an elite snowmobile tour company of over 50 years
    • assisting with operations that supports the premier snowmobile tour company in Aspen, Colorado

     

    Snowmobile Shop Duties Include:

    • Snowmobile repair and maintenance
    • Operating a snowmobile
    • Prepping snowmobiles for tours
    • General vehicle repair (may include snow cats)
    • Communication on a two-way radio
    • Moving/lifting (must be able to lift 100+ lbs. without injury to yourself)
    • Miscellaneous mechanical duties as assigned

     

    Additional Duties May Include:

    • Trail grooming
    • Shuttling guests to and from Aspen Highlands in company vehicles
    • Performing first aid and responding to and assisting with emergencies (per company protocol)
    • Shoveling snow from snowmobiles, stairs, paths, vehicles, etc., as well as snow shoveling for trail maintenance and around the premises
    • Hauling supplies to the Klondike and Independence cabins and warming huts via snowmobile and trailer
    • Acting as a back-up guide on snowmobile tours, if needed
    • Assisting with routine ranch maintenance
    • Storing snowmobiles and equipment at end of the Season

     

    Preferred Skills:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Willingness to learn our methods for snowmobile maintenance and repair

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be eligible to work in the USA
    • At least 21 years of age
    • Valid driver’s license, with no restrictions 
    • Education level - high school or equivalent 
    • Able to lift 100+ lbs without injury to self
    • Comfortable driving snowmobile
    • Exceptional spoken English-language skills

    • This position typically works five days per week, approximately 8 hrs. each day with Mondays and Tuesdays off, except during holidays.

    • maintaining guest safety while providing a delicious meal of our ranch-raised Wagyu beef burgers
    • ensuring smooth and exceptional lunch experience for guests through daily preparation
    • part of a team that has a long-standing reputation for being the elite in the snowmobile tour experience

    Snowmobile Tour Cook Duties Include:

    • Grilling hamburgers and preparing food for lunch tours
    • Setting up and breaking down refreshment stations
    • Stocking supplies
    • Maintaining and recording inventory
    • Working with the manager for ordering
    • Hauling supplies to the Klondike and warming huts via snowmobile and trailer
    • Cleaning/maintaining kitchen area, tools, and grill after lunches
    • Cleaning/maintaining lunch cabin, including restrooms, before and after lunches
    • Moving/lifting inventory
    • Collecting and disposing of the trash from Klondike cabin, warming huts
    • Shoveling stairs to lunch cabin (almost 70 stairs)
    • Seeing that guests maintain safety and comfort
    • Assisting with any work required to get snowmobile operations up-and-running prior to the Season open of lunch tours
    • Performing first aid and responding to and assisting with emergencies (per company protocol)
    • Making every effort to see that guests are enjoying themselves and that any guest issues are resolved with respect and kindness

     

    Additional Duties May Include:

    • Assistance with tasks related to the snowmobile business, including but not limited to shoveling snow, feeding animals, cleaning public areas, assisting with guest's needs.

     

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous cook and kitchen experience
    • TIPS training certification
    • Customer service/hospitality experience

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be eligible to work in the USA
    • At least 21 years of age
    • Valid driver’s license, with no restrictions 
    • Current First Aid/CPR certification
    • Able to move/lift up to 100 lbs without injury to self
    • Able to withstand cold weather for extended periods of time
    • Able to climb up and down a flight of almost 70 stairs multiple times a day
    • Able to shovel snow for extended periods of time
    • Comfortable operating a snowmobile with a trailer
    • Be able to work autonomously and self-manage for portions of the day
