    Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

    • Driving a 25 / 33 passenger bus between the Meadows parking lot and the Gondola Square transportation center in a safe manner
    • Daily Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections
    • Provide excellent Guest Services (i.e. resort Information, directions, etc.)
    • Provide traffic control of vehicles entering and leaving parking lots, ensuring safe, steady flow, and pedestrian safety; manage parking lots efficiently by parking cars in straight, tight rows
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
    • Other duties, as assigned

    Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:

    • Must have a valid commercial driver's license
    • Must enjoy people, driving, and be outgoing and personable
    • Must present a professional, well groomed appearance
    • Adhere to all safety policies
    • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be minimum 21 years of age
    • Must read, write, and speak clearly in English
    • Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug urinalysis test
    • Sit for long periods of time
    • Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standards

    Miscellaneous information:

    • Post offer confirmation required of driving history (past 3 years, must be free of moving violations)
    • This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
    • Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed

    The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

    Love guest service and have a great driving record? Come and welcome guests to the Steamboat Grand! Must have a current driver’s license. One year of guest service work experience is mandatory.

    Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc:

    • Greet guests and owners arriving and departing from the hotel, open the doors, park guest’s cars, totes luggage and guest personal belongings to and from their rooms
    • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times
    • Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guest and respond to all guests in a courteous efficient manner
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety of lobby and entryway, vacuum carpets, clean windows, shovel snow, remove trash, mop floors, empty trash cans, maintain fireplace, and keep bellman closet clean
    • Assist front desk staff as needed, answer phones, back up switchboard during busy periods, deliver messages and packages to guests and staff
    • Knowledge of the hotel’s fire system and procedures in the event of an emergency
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements 
    • Other duties, as assigned

    Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:

    • Read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure
    • Operate a standard transmission (stick shift) vehicle
    • Must have at least one year customer service employment experience
    • Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position. Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current Driver’s license; a successful motor vehicle record background check is required
    • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
    • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC’s Service Excellence standards   

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis
    • Communicate clearly in English both written and verbal

    With the powder comes the shoveling! We are looking for applicants who can ski/snowboard at an intermediate level to/from our Food & Beverage locations on-mountain. Ski/snowboard level is contingent on passing an on-snow assessment.

    • Provide snow removal and ice build-up prevention around mountain facilities

    • Daily set up and breakdown of outdoor furniture

    • Assist with litter control

    • Employee will need to provide appropriate snow removal outerwear for inclement weather (i.e. hat, gloves, snow pants, jacket, etc.)

    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

    • Other duties, as assigned

    Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:

    • Work in adverse weather conditions

    • Communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a positive, guest friendly manner

    • Report to work timely, dressed, and prepared for your daily assignment

    • Adhere to all safety policies

    • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be a minimum 18 years of age

    • Lift 50 lbs. frequently with snow removal

    • Bend and lift heavy snow on days requiring snow removal (shoveling)

    • Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions

    • Remain standing for extended periods of time in one outdoor station

    • Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position and will require the successful applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the Alterra Driver’s Standards Policy that includes possessing a valid Driver's License and meet insurability standard​

    Miscellaneous information:

    • This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay

    • This position is on-call and must be available as early as 6am, 7 days per week; with the ability to report to work as early as 6 am on assigned day
