Function as a highly independent, self-regulated, detail oriented professional ensuring that all aspects of an event have been addressed
Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
Review all BEOs, along with the Banquet Manager, making sure the department is prepared for all functions
Plan, supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the banquet function. Consult with Catering/Conference staff, Director of F&B and/or Executive Chef on such items as serving arrangements and additional employees and equipment needed.
Supervise and assist with all operations, which may include: setting tables, stocking service stations, taking orders from customers, serving, clearing and cleaning tables, setting up bars and other service stations as needed
Monitor food and service to ensure that appropriate quality standards are maintained
Confer with Catering and Sales, F&B Managers and other company personnel to plan, coordinate and evaluate services and activities. Also frequently exchange information and resolve problems as they arise
Supervise guest counts at meetings, breaks, and meals, and make sure bill is prepared according to these numbers. Reconcile gratuity allocations and submit for Banquet Manager approval
Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the responsibilities described herein

Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs that meet or exceed OEM specifications to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime
Oversee daily shop operations, prioritizing work through the Vehicle Maintenance Team
Maintain awareness of daily and seasonal vehicle needs across departments and assist the Slope Maintenance Management Team in assigning resources accordingly

Conduct all maintenance activities required to assure safe and reliable operation of the area's lift system and associated equipment.
Conduct daily, monthly, and weekly winter operational inspections of assigned lift equipment according to prescribed inspection guidelines.
Complete work orders on all maintenance activities.
Must maintain an understanding of the current rules and regulations of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board and other applicable agencies.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Steamboat Grand Team is looking for a new assistant manager to join it's banquets team. This position requires a very detail oriented individual that is highly independent. Working closely with our banquets team this position will help execute the many events hosted at the Steamboat Grand throughout the year.
