    The Steamboat Grand, located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, is looking for full-time housekeepers this summer! Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

    Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

    • Clean floors, vacuum, sweep, dust, mop, wash, strip, wax, buff and shampoo carpets
    • Wash windows, walls, tables, dust furniture, fixtures and woodwork
    • Perform some routine inspection of electrical, heating and ventilating equipment
    • Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals
    • Strip and make the beds
    • Use vacuum, mop and full bucket of water, and like equipment to clean
    • Clean and stock bathrooms- wash tubs, shower walls, countertops, sinks and mirrors                                              
    • Clean and stock kitchens- clean refrigerator, stove, countertops, cupboards and put dishes away.                       
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements. 
    • Other duties, as assigned

    Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:

    • Basic knowledge and skills of  routine housekeeping preferred
    • Adhere to all safety policies
    • Stay on task and organized
    • Safely meet or exceed housekeeping cleaning standards

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be a minimum 18 years of age

    • Enforce alcohol perimeter (into/out of events) while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor
    • Control access to events
    • ID and ensure that event attendees are 21 years and older
    • Ensure adherence to Company Policies
    • General Property Security (Help secure property before, during and after events)
    • Will conduct pat down searches and bag checks for alcohol compliance
    • Will be in company vehicle (trucks and snowmobile) 50% of time in varying terrain and conditions
    • Responsible for hourly security checks of all Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation properties
    • Respond to fire and or burglar alarms as necessary
    • Deal with guests and other individuals under varying circumstances
    • May be required to transport guests in shuttle van

    • Driving a 25 / 33 passenger bus between the Meadows parking lot and the Gondola Square transportation center in a safe manner
    • Daily Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections

    • Provide traffic control of vehicles entering and leaving parking lots, ensuring safe, steady flow, and pedestrian safety; manage parking lots efficiently by parking cars in straight, tight rows

    • Provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment with an emphasis on children’s social-emotional, physical, and cognitive needs
    • Perform daily child care duties as assigned including feeding, diapers/potty, and naps
    • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements
    • Register in the PDIS and complete all required trainings including 15 hours of continuing education/year. Provide documentation to Director.
    • Prepare and maintain classroom materials and interest-centers
    • Plan daily lessons, monthly themes, and a classroom monthly calendar
    • Teach large group lessons, small group lessons, and provide individualized instruction
    • Be prepared to engage children in outdoor activities for long periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather
    • Attend all staff meetings and trainings
    • Supervise, mentor, and direct assistant teachers and subs/floaters
    • Work with the Director, early learning specialists, and families to create and implement behavior plans for children with challenging behavior
    • Work cooperatively on a team with other teaching professionals
    • Provide positive guidance and redirection

    An early childhood teacher, assigned responsibility for a single group of children and working under the supervision of a director and must meet at least one of the following qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major area of study in:

      Early Childhood Education;

      Elementary Education;

      Special Education;

      Family and Child Development; or 

      Child Psychology

    • A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major area of study in any area other than those listed above and an additional two (2) three-semester hour early childhood education college courses with one course being either introduction to early childhood education or guidance strategies

    • A current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level III as determined by the PDIS

    • An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education with at least one course being introduction to early childhood education or guidance strategies and at least six (6) months of experience

    • Completion of twelve (12) semester hours in early childhood education. One of the three (3) semester hour courses must be either introduction to early childhood education or guidance strategies, plus nine (9) months of verified experience

    • Completion of a vocational program in child growth and development plus twelve (12) months of verified experience

    • Twenty-four (24) months of verified experience plus either:

      A current Colorado Level II credential; or,

      Two (2) three-semester hour early childhood education college courses with one course being either introduction to early childhood education or guidance strategies

    * All college course grades toward early childhood teacher qualifications must be “C” or better. All experience must be verified and consist of the care and supervision of four (4) or more children less than six (6) years of age who are not related to the individual.

    Physical Requirements:

    Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

    • Provide personable and courteous interaction with guests

    • Support wait staff as needed

    • Clear and wipe clean all tables and chairs

    • Reset tables with china, glass, and silverware

    • Provide water at tables and refill

    • Maintain cleanliness of dining room, floors, walls, windows and window sills

    • Maintain cleanliness of bussing/wait station

    • Buff and clean silverware after washing

    • Brew coffee and tea as needed

    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

    • Other duties, as assigned

    Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:

    • Must have good organizational skills

    • Must maintain a professional well-groomed appearance

    • Adhere to all safety policies

    • Knowledge of restaurant table service, preferred

    • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC’s Service Excellence standards

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be a minimum 15 years of age

    • Must be on feet for extended periods of time; stand for long periods of time

    • Lift approximately 30-50 lbs. on a regular basis

    Miscellaneous information:

    • This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay

    • Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed

    The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees.
