    The Steamboat Grand is looking for a self-motivated and organized professional to join its front desk team. The night auditor is responsible for running daily audit reports and front desk operations overnight. These shifts range from 10pm – 8am. If you thrive on independence, then this is the job for you.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Responsible for auditing and reporting of daily operational closing/night run

    • Responsible for front desk and managing guest requests in an efficient manner

    • Responsible for managing reservations while on duty by facilitating walk-ins, check-in and check-out procedures, assisting Owners and guests with early departures and late arrivals

    • Maintain cleanliness and safety of lobby and public spaces

    • Restock and manage inventory as needed.

    • Record, maintain, and analyze data reports as required.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 years of previous work history/education required

    • One-year related experience or education required

    • Knowledge of basic accounting applications required

    • Computer and guest service skills required

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Steamboat Grand Team is looking for a new assistant manager to join it's banquets team. This position requires a very detail oriented individual that is highly independent. Working closely with our banquets team this position will help execute the many events hosted at the Steamboat Grand throughout the year.     This is a Flex Year-Round position, which means that you will work 10 out of 12 months in the year. This also means that Year-Round benefits apply, however there are 2 months during the year when business levels are lower, and scheduled hours will not be provided.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Function as a highly independent, self-regulated, detail oriented professional ensuring that all aspects of an event have been addressed

    • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner

    • Review all BEOs, along with the Banquet Manager, making sure the department is prepared for all functions

    • Plan, supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the banquet function. Consult with Catering/Conference staff, Director of F&B and/or Executive Chef on such items as serving arrangements and additional employees and equipment needed.

    • Supervise and assist with all operations, which may include: setting tables, stocking service stations, taking orders from customers, serving, clearing and cleaning tables, setting up bars and other service stations as needed

    • Monitor food and service to ensure that appropriate quality standards are maintained

    • Confer with Catering and Sales, F&B Managers and other company personnel to plan, coordinate and evaluate services and activities. Also frequently exchange information and resolve problems as they arise

    • Supervise guest counts at meetings, breaks, and meals, and make sure bill is prepared according to these numbers. Reconcile gratuity allocations and submit for Banquet Manager approval

    • Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the responsibilities described herein

    • Work directly with restaurant managers to cross utilize service and set up staff

    • Ensure that alcohol policies are being enforced

    • Oversee shift meetings

    • Work with Banquet Captain to administer Workday Time Keeping

    • Attend BEO meetings and organize BEOs in binder for all staff.

    • Request order for supplies such as china, glass, silverware, or meeting room supplies from purchasing agent with director approval, if needed. Supervise inventory and orders for table linen, china, glassware, silverware, chafing dishes

    • Establish standards and procedures for all banquet staff

    • Develop and implement hiring and training programs to ensure all positions are adequately staffed with trained personnel

    • Interact with guests and group contacts as a liaison for their event

    • Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

    • Participates in the service charge distribution

    • Perform other tasks as assigned


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 years of previous work history/education required

    • Prior management experience at Steamboat Ski & Resort Food and Beverage venue helpful, not required

    • Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current Driver’s license; a successful motor vehicle record background check is required.

    • Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintains positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers.

    • Be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards

    • Prefer experience with RTP, Workday, and Office and some accounting experience

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with good knowledge of Excel

    • Basic administrative and/or organizational skills

    • Previous experience with basic food service administrative functions, such as ordering, inventory control, staff scheduling, and cash reports, preferred; must be skilled and reliable in cash handling techniques

    • Must have Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or must attend a Colorado approved alcohol server training educational seminar within 30 days of employment

    • Must have current Food Manager and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Manager and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment


    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school helpful; or one year of relevant food service experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This person supervises the safe and efficient daily operations of the Base Area Activities for both summer and winter seasons.  This includes outdoor amusement features (bounce house and mining sluice) and Ice rink operation and skate rental.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Responsible for supervision of Activities/Rental staff

    • Assist in operation of activities while open

    • Inspect and set up all Activities equipment prior to opening

    • Assist in staff management and administration including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations and disciplinary action

    • Answering questions and resolving any guest issues that arise

    • Ice surface building and seasonal transformation of rink

    • Monitoring and maintenance of ice conditions on the rink

    • Snow removal of ice rink

    • Overseeing skate rental operation and maintenance of skate inventory

    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

    • Other duties as assigned


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 1 year in a position with emphasis on customer service

    • Previous supervisory skills

    • 2 years of previous work history/education required

    • Must have valid driver’s license

    • Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, forklift, Ice resurfacer) preferred

    • Experience with basic hand tools and construction

    • Must feel comfortable using information systems including sales programs and Microsoft Office

    • Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Beverage & Entertainment Assistant serves as a hands-on support role to the Beverage & Entertainment Manager, playing a critical part in the execution of live entertainment and beverage activations across the resort. This role functions as a “roadie” — assisting with the setup, breakdown, and transportation of entertainment equipment and supplies at multiple on-mountain and base area locations.


    This position requires strong physical stamina, adaptability, and the ability to ski or ride confidently to various venues while carrying or transporting equipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment and enjoys being behind the scenes making memorable guest experiences come to life.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    Event & Entertainment Support

    • Assist with the setup, breakdown, and staging of live entertainment including DJs, bands, pop-up activations, and special events

    • Transport sound equipment, instruments, signage, beverage elements, and event supplies to and from venues

    • Support entertainers and vendors with load-in/load-out logistics

    • Maintain event timelines by ensuring venues are fully set and operational prior to guest arrival


    On-Mountain & Multi-Venue Logistics

    • Ski or ride to various resort locations as required, often with gear or supplies

    • Assist with venue transitions and pop-up movements throughout the day or evening

    • Coordinate closely with the Beverage & Entertainment Manager to anticipate operational needs

    • Guest Experience & Venue Readiness

    • Support a polished, professional event environment aligned with resort brand standards

    • Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety during events

    • Provide light guest interaction support when appropriate, directing guests or answering basic questions


    Operational Support

    • Assist with beverage activations, branded pop-ups, and promotional events

    • Help manage storage, inventory, and organization of entertainment and event equipment

    • Support beverage training sessions or tastings as needed

    • Adhere to all resort policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements


    Collaboration & Communication

    • Work closely with F&B teams, Marketing, Operations, and outside vendors

    • Communicate effectively regarding setup needs, challenges, and event flow

    • Represent the resort positively with entertainers, partners, and guests

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Required

    • Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level confidently to access multiple on-mountain locations

    • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)

    • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

    • Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude

    • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure

    Preferred

    • Previous experience in live events, entertainment production, hospitality, or F&B support

    • Familiarity with basic audio/visual or event equipment

    • Knowledge of resort operations or mountain environments

    • Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required)

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Vehicle Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the vehicle maintenance shop at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance and repair of all company vehicles and equipment. The Shop Manager leads and develops a team of technicians, manages preventative maintenance programs, and partners with departments across the resort to support operational needs.     • Oversee scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management activities

    • Conduct technician quality control inspections and support ongoing technical development

    • Performance evaluations

    • Promote employee engagement and promote enthusiasm for the company within the department

    • Develop and maintain departmental safety and risk management policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards

    • Resolve accident or damage cases involving fleet vehicles, including incidents involving guests or employees

    • Maintain excellent working relationships and coordinate with resort departments to support operational needs.

    • Provide vehicle maintenance support as needed in all SSRC departments

    • Support fleet-related training for employees across departments when needed

    • Communicate equipment or personnel issues to leadership and Human Resources as appropriate

    • Support sustainability initiatives within the department and across the resort

    • Comply with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 8 years of previous combined work history/education in vehicle maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field required

    • Strong working knowledge of gas, diesel, tracked, and wheeled vehicles, preferably within a resort or similar operational environment

    • Knowledge of Hydraulics, Electrical systems, and Equipment Maintenance

    • Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA, MSDS, and Lockout/Tagout procedures

    • Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance record-keeping

    • Ability to operate heavy equipment, snowmobiles, and all other company vehicles & equipment

    • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Summertime is a great time for a Gondola ride!  We are looking for full-time Lead Lift Operators. 

    Alternate transportation is frequently required during summer operations, therefore CDL licenses are required for this position. Training will be provided.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Responsible for the daily operation of the Gondolas, pre-operational inspections, loading/unloading of guests and bikes, maintaining the work area, and other jobs assigned.

    • Must have positive guest relations and work well with a small crew.

    • Guest service – greeting, welcoming, and providing information to our guests - verbally, message boards, bike maps, etc.

    • Efficient and safe operation of the lifts, vehicles, and shuttles.

    • Fueling, cleaning, and maintaining company vehicles as needed

    • Appearance at the lift areas - lift houses, ramps, maze, personal appearance, trash removal

    • Knowledge of lift equipment, ticket gates, and scanners

    • Inspection of the lifts

    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

    • Pre/post-season set-up and tear-down.

    • Available to work outside normal winter/summer operating seasons.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 years of previous work history/education required

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Lift Maintenance Department is hiring Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master Mechanics. If you have a solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, we are interested in speaking with you! Our resort operates multiple types of lifts, and we just installed the longest gondola in North America, Wild Blue. During your interview you will be placed according to your current skill set and certifications held. This will also determine your starting wage. Below are some of the minimum skills to be considered for each level.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES – ALL MECHANICS

    • Conduct all maintenance activities required to assure safe and reliable operation of the area's lift system and associated equipment.

    • Conduct daily, monthly, and weekly winter operational inspections of assigned lift equipment according to prescribed inspection guidelines.

    • Complete work orders on all maintenance activities.

    • Must maintain an understanding of the current rules and regulations of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board and other applicable agencies.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Steamboat Child Care Center (SCCC) is hiring a full-time (Mon–Fri) Infant–Toddler Primary Caregiver who believes in relationship-based early childhood care. Our program values continuity of care, with primary caregivers staying with the same group of children for up to three years. We’re looking for a committed, experienced caregiver who truly loves working with infants and toddlers and values building strong, lasting relationships with children and their families.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment with an emphasis on children’s social-emotional, physical, language and cognitive needs

    • Perform daily child care duties as assigned including feeding, diapers, play, and naps

    • Register in the PDIS and complete all required training courses including 15 hours of continuing education/year provide documentation to the coach

    • Supervise, mentor, and direct assistant teachers and subs/floaters

    • Work with the Director, early learning specialists, and families to create and implement behavior plans for children with challenging behavior

    • Work cooperatively as a team with other teaching professionals

    • Provide positive guidance and redirection

    • Record diapers, naps, and daily activities in Brightwheel

    • Maintain professional communication with parents and other staff daily

    • Maintain all necessary records including illness logs

    • Work with a teaching team to create monthly lesson plans and write monthly newsletters

    • Maintain positive relationships with families, sending updates and emails on a regular basis

    • Complete observations and assessments at least 3 times a year using our assessment tool called Teaching Strategies Gold

    • Use assessments to prepare / plan curriculum, and lead parent-teacher conferences in the fall and spring

    • Help plan and lead family nights including back-to-school nights

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must demonstrate an interest in young children and a concern for their proper care and well-being

    • Flexibility to care for children of all ages birth-5 years

    • Ability to maintain professional communication with parents, supervisors, co-teachers, and assistants

    • Primary duty to patrol, monitor, and maintain all trails and signage within the Mt. Werner network, enforcing ticketing and safety rules

    • Maintain first-aid supply bags, administer first-aid when necessary

    • Document incidents requiring first-aid

    • Communicate effectively with team and operational partners to ensure the highest levels of safety and efficiency

    • Provide information and assistance to the guest when needed

    • Assist with transportation of guests via ATV, van or truck

    • Assist Instructor team with lesson operations, teach lessons if certified to teach and demand requires

    The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

    Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be minimum of 16 years of age for Cook 1

    • Must be minimum 18 years of age for Cook 2 - 4

    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
