Jobs in the Spotlight

About Signal Mountain Lodge

Signal Mountain Lodge offers careers across hospitality, retail, culinary, operations, food service, marina, and maintenance. It’s the perfect place to pursue what matters, whether you’re looking for a seasonal opportunity or ready to build a long-lasting career.

The lodge is a small resort with ample opportunity for a seasonal worker and career growth. Our operations include guest lodging, food and beverage, retail shops, a marina, and a campground. Aramark is highly focused on the environmental preservation of Grand Teton National Park. In 1990, a staff-led initiative to recycle aluminum cans at Signal Mountain Lodge took shape and became the spark that led to the greening of our operations. Aramark became the first National Park concessionaire and business west of the Mississippi to become Green Seal Certified and are 3-Star Certified by the Green Restaurant Association.

The Employee Experience

No two days are the same with Aramark Destinations! Employees come to Grand Teton National Park from all over the world; with such a diverse staff, you’ll be part of a community that encourages cultural exchange and knowledge sharing.

You’ll have the opportunity to spend your days building a career in hospitality and your free time enjoying the outdoors. With endless opportunities for adventure, minimal living expenses, a quality Employee Dining Room, and managers who truly care about your personal and professional life, it’s no wonder we have a staff return rate of 50% year after year.

Ideal Candidate

Our employees work together to create great experiences for our customers and guests! If you have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and are seeking the experience of living, working, and learning in a beautiful setting, Signal Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to pursue what matters to you and your career. Here, you’ll be surrounded by supportive leaders and passionate teammates, all while having access to amazing career opportunities.

Grand Teton employees love where we work, share a passion for hospitality, and believe in the mission of the National Park Service. Due to the convenient location of our staff housing, there is little separation between work and home during the season. Your teammates will quickly become your closest friends, on and off the clock. For this reason, it’s important that you’re flexible, communicative, and work well with others.

Room and Board

We offer modern, dorm-style housing units for staff that are conveniently located to many work sites. Each teammate will share a room and bathroom with one other person, and laundry facilities are available free of charge in employee dorms. RV sports are also available on-site. Dorm rooms cost $99/person per week, and triple-rated rooms and RV spaces cost $70/person per week. Room and board charges are taken as a payroll deduction every other week, and meals are included.

Located a short distance from the dorms, the Employee Dining Room serves three hot meals per day and has snacks and drinks available for grab-and-go. The room also has computers and printers for staff use.

Getting Here and Getting Around

If you are not driving, the best way to get to Signal Mountain Lodge is by flying or taking a bus. The closest airports are located in Jackson Hole, Salt Lake City, and Idaho Falls. There are two bus companies that will transport you to Jackson if flying into Salt Lake City or Idaho Falls – the Salt Lake Express and Mountain State Express. If traveling by Greyhound, they transfer to the Salt Lake Express. Signal Mountain Lodge will provide transportation for staff from the Jackson Hole airport or town of Jackson.

Most teammates bring their own vehicle, but one is not necessary on a daily basis. Staff dorms are a 5-minute walk from most guest services, work areas, and dining rooms. With that in mind, exploring outside of Grand Teton National Park is much easier when staff members have their own mode of transportation.

For Fun

The remote setting of Signal Mountain Lodge offers a rare opportunity to explore and experience nature and history at its finest. Spend your time off enjoying free recreational activities on the water or hiking throughout the park.

The team at the lodge also organizes free staff activities and trips throughout the season. In the past, employees have enjoyed team sports, cooking competitions, movie nights, arts and crafts, gondola rides at Teton Village, and much more!
