A Spectacle of Exceptional Hospitality
From towering peaks to pristine alpine valleys, Grand Teton National Park captures the imagination. Spend your days exploring hundreds of miles of trails and your nights enjoying the serenity of northwestern Wyoming. We may be a little biased, but we think our corner of the world is an incredibly special place to spend a summer.
Signal Mountain Lodge is located right on the shores of Jackson Lake in the heart of Grand Teton National Park and offers one of the most unique employee experiences the seasonal circuit has to offer.
About Signal Mountain Lodge
Signal Mountain Lodge is a small resort with ample opportunity for a seasonal worker and career growth. Our operations include guest lodging, food and beverage, retail shops, a marina, and a campground.
We're highly focused on the environmental preservation of Grand Teton National Park and our environment. In 1990, a staff-led initiative to recycle aluminum cans at Signal Mountain Lodge took shape and became the spark that led to the "greening" of our operations. You could say the rest is history! We were the first National Park concessionaire (and business west of the Mississippi) to become Green Seal Certified and are 3-Star Certified by the Green Restaurant Association. In 2017, we began composting and have successfully diverted over 120 tons of food waste from landfills so far!
For people who value quality management, a comfortable living environment, and the preservation of our national parks and planet, a summer at Signal Mountain Lodge is an easy and exciting choice.
Aramark Destinations is committed to the safety of our teams, clients, and customers. We continue to implement procedures and policies across our locations to keep everyone safe and healthy. From operations, and employee communities we are redefining the experience to meet safety guidelines while maximizing the seasonal experience. Aramark will continue to monitor available information and resources regarding COVID-19, including state and local law, and the following guidance may be modified as new information becomes available.
Here are a few things you can expect as a team member:
- Contactless Interviews: Virtual and phone interviews are available with all our locations.
- Housing and Employee Communities: We have implemented enhanced sanitation practices to keep our team members safe within all Employee Community Facilities.
- Employee Training: Extensive and detailed training on all safety policies and procedures for each team member during their onboarding and throughout the season.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Facial coverings and additional personal protective equipment are provided to associates, based on your position.
- Vaccination Status: Some of our locations require all individuals working on-site to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19. Please review job descriptions for further information.
The Employee Experience
Start a New Summer Tradition
With endless opportunities for outdoor adventure, minimal living expenses, a quality Employee Dining Room, and managers who truly care about your success, it’s no wonder we have a staff return rate of 50% year after year. At Signal Mountain Lodge, we like to say that our staff are our #1 guests, and we mean it. We believe that employee satisfaction is the most important factor in our overall success as a business. Therefore, we invest in it accordingly. You can expect a safe and comfortable living environment, management support whenever you need it, plenty of delicious food in our EDR, and a consistent work schedule.
Ideal Candidate
We’re all here because we love where we work and live, share a passion for hospitality, and believe in the mission of the National Park Service. While we love to see experience in retail, food service, and hospitality, we're looking for teammates with a genuine and enthusiastic desire to create great guest experiences in Grand Teton National Park.
Due to the convenient location of our staff housing, there is very little separation between work and home during the season. Your staff members will quickly become your closest companions while on and off the clock. For this reason, it's important that you're flexible, communicative, emotionally mature, and able to solve interpersonal problems effectively. It's also important that you can stay motivated and take time for yourself when you need it.
In short, if you're respectful of others and know how to balance working hard and playing hard, you'll be a great fit at Signal Mountain Lodge!

At this time, we are requiring proof of vaccination status or an approved medical or religious exemption for those who will live in shared housing. Proof of vaccination status must be provided upon arrival to the property and prior to check in for housing. Exemption requests must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to start date to allow sufficient time for processing.
FOOD
Quality is of the highest concern when it comes to the food our staff eat. You can expect a menu and recipes that are constantly changing, fresh and local ingredients whenever possible, and cooks that aim to please! Located just a short walk from the staff housing area, the Employee Dining Room serves three hot meals per day and offers self-serve snacks and beverages in between mealtimes. We offer a vegetarian option with every meal and try our best to cater to specific dietary needs. The Employee Dining Room also has a computer and printer for staff use.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Despite our remote location, traveling to our location is easy and accessible! While most staff bring their personal vehicle for the season, about 40% of our staff get here via plane, bus, or some combination of the two!
ARRIVING BY PLANE
The nearest airport, Jackson Hole (JAC), is located inside the park about 30 minutes from Signal Mountain Lodge. We are happy to pick you up at the Jackson Hole Airport if you notify us in advance. This is the most convenient option if you don't have your own car, but it can be expensive as it's a small airport. Past staff have sometimes found it's cheaper to fly into Salt Lake City and then catch a bus to Jackson. Keep in mind, this option makes for longer travel time.
ARRIVING BY BUS
There are two bus companies that service the town of Jackson: The Salt Lake Express and Mountain States Express. There are drop-off locations at the Albertsons and Maverick gas station in Jackson. We are happy to pick you up at either of these locations as well.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Most teammates bring their own vehicles. We have parking for employees in the staff housing area, though spaces are often limited. Each staff member is limited to one personal vehicle.
Once you're here, you don't need a vehicle on a day-to-day basis. The staff dormitories are a 5-minute walk from most of the guest services and work areas, as well as from the Employee Dining Room. That being said, exploring the area outside of Grand Teton National Park is certainly easier to do when you have your own transportation.
For Fun
In addition to discounts and free recreational opportunities on the property and in the area, our HR department organizes staff activities and excursions throughout the summer - many of which are free of charge! Here are a few things you can look forward to as a member of our seasonal summer staff:
- Kickball games
- Gondola rides at Teton Village
- Tie dye day
- Milkshake days
- Annual staff art fair
- Pumpkin carving
- Movie nights
- Painting and crafts
- Softball league
- Tournaments and competitions
- Staff hikes
- Annual cooking competition
