Every year we hire nearly 200 seasonal employees to meet our summer seasonal needs. Some departments gear up in late March, while most job openings begin in early May and go through September, some extending into October. At a minimum, seasonal candidates are expected to be available through Sunday, September 27, 2020.

Positions in all of our departments will be available which include: Restaurants, Events, Hotel, Housekeeping, Retail, Spa, Marina, Guest Services, Grounds, Accounting and the Roche Harbor Market.

  • Seasonal Massage Therapist

    We are seeking caring and professional individuals with excellent customer service skills and teamwork philosophy to create an exceptional guest experience.  The ideal candidate will be responsible, dependable and flexible.

    Must be competent in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal and Hot Stone modalities and be able to provide quality massage/bodywork for 3-5 services per day, 4-5 day per week.  Must be willing to learn new modalities and body treatments.  Afterglow will provide training in spa signature touches and body treatment protocols.

    You will be providing massage services and body treatments to guests using Kerstin Florian Products and Spa protocols.  Assess guest needs, inquire about preferences, cautious and contraindications before beginning services.  Document services provided and obtain written consent to treat on intake form as required by Washington Administration Code 246-830-565.

  • Seasonal Spa Receptionist

    The ideal candidate is outgoing, with a passion for excellent customer service.  This position is responsible for the greeting of guests in the spa, scheduling spa appointments and confirming via telephone scheduled appointments for the following day, managing the register for guests checking out, retail sales and balancing cash drawer at the end of the day.  

    We will provide training and education on our spa products sold in our retail area as well as basic knowledge of our spa treatments.  The receptionist is also responsible for some spa attending during off-season shifts. 

    Job Requirements: -Schedule services for individuals and groups using spa software system.  Provide information about spa treatments and available service times. -Update the reservations/cancellations list throughout the day, inform providers of last minute changes and resolve scheduling issues as needed by working with the spa manager and lead therapist.  -Check in guests for appointments.  -Provide general spa orientation to guests upon arrival.  -Promote and sell spa retail and upgrade services.  -Responsible for cash drawer ans accurate POS transactions for spa services and retail purchases.  There is a retail incentive for achieving sales goals.

    • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, stand on feet for a prolonged period (8-12 hours per shift), and easily bend at the waist and knees
    • Able to work in outdoor venues  
    • Ability to multi task efficiency with urgency and confidence all the while having a smile on your face.
    • Attention to detail making guests feel welcome, important, and relaxed. 
    • Work well in a team environment.  Teams run with anywhere from 3 people to 20 people depending on the event.
    • Be able to clear and keep tables clean during service.
    • Assist back of the house when needed.

    Summary:  The Event Concierge primary responsibility is assisting and acting as the main point of contact for the Bride/Groom, Group Leader & their needs the day before and the day of their event. To ensure the event is set up and prepared based on their pre-negotiated planning and provide excellent, guest-first customer service in allsituations.  Maintaining a calm and professional disposition.

    • Participate in event Review Meeting 

    • Excellent communication with event Banquet Captain,Event Planner and lead set up
    • Assist Event Set-Up Team and communicate with lead often
    • Set up and take down road signage around ceremony 30 minutes prior
    • Communicate and record necessary adjustments to Event Timeline (if necessary)
    • Attend weekly Event Meetings team meetings with Banquet Captains and Event Planner
    • Communicate with Guest Services on transportation requests in a timely fashion and update early and often
    • Assist with guest services rides for the bridal party when needed
    • Communicate ceremony times to all resort departments affected with 30 minutes notice such as the hotel, Madrona Bar & Grill, Marina & construction crews
    • Meet client in their event space no later than 8:30am on day of event
    • Work with set up with place settings and napkin folding 
    • Assist with removal of prior event décor items moving them to the pick up location
    • Locate and retrieve any rental items necessary for set up
    • Communicate and assist vendors when necessary and appropriate 
    • Resolve any guest issues in a timely fashion and with a guest-first, professional attitude

    Job Summary

    Guest Services is a department that works closely with the Front Desk and Guest Relations Members and supports all operations on the resort. Being able to work well as a team is a must. No, cannot be a word you have in your vocabulary. The main responsibility is to the guests, any and all needs should be met with an open, hospitable, friendly, positive, and guest first (YES!) mindset. Choreographing and assisting the Guest Relations team with in-room amenities and general guest needs/requests; no request is too big or too small. Additionally, transportation is also a large component of the job guest need rides to and from various lodging accommodations and wedding venues throughout the resort. This position needs a member that is self-motivated, flexible, quick thinking, and adaptable to unique customer needs that may arise. An ideal candidate would have previous experience in hospitality and/or customer service and prior employment working with urgent and/or emergency situations. Additionally, a candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and either hold or be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification. Trainable attitude and willingness to drive golf carts on the main guest dock is a must.
