Some departments gear up in late March, while most job openings begin in early May and go through September, some extending into October.     We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Account Clerk to join our busy department. Under the direction of the department manage. The Account Clerk is responsible for providing bookkeeping support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. Daily tasks including entering data into daily worksheets to the general ledger system and ensuring files are complete and maintained as needed. The Account Clerk also handles accounts payable, cash process and Accounts receivable duties, and assists accounting personnel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of attention to detail, a comfort with numbers, and a passion for strict adherence to process.

    Account Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform bookkeeping and clerical functions

    Job Summary

    Provide massage services and body treatments to guests using Kerstin Florian and Pure Fiji body oils and body scrubs. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, medical conditions, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout service. Promote and sell spa services including retail offerings related to the spa. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, disposal of dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. 

    You must possess a current Washington State Massage License.

    Job Description

    Roche Harbor Utilities is seeking an entry level trainee for its water and wastewater facilities. Once trained, operator will be responsible for all aspects of the wastewater treatment plant and collection system operation & maintenance, water distribution operation & maintenance. Incumbent will work under the supervision of the water and wastewater lead operator.

    Duties are varied. 

    • Plan and carry out the work in the maintenance and operation of a wastewater treatment plant, water treatment plant, and associated collection/distribution systems.
    • Obtain samples according to established procedure; performs standard laboratory tests; solves problems using standard chemical formula and algebra.
    • Hose, wash or clean all plant equipment, pumps, motors, floors and walls on a regular schedule to maintain established sanitary standards.
    • Maintain daily operating records; note equipment performance, chemicals and supplies used; read and interpret meters, gauges and graphs; take remedial action as necessary in event of malfunction or failure of equipment.
    • Operates all plant mechanical and electrical equipment; mixes and regulates flow of all required chemicals.
    • Maintain and repair plant mechanical and electrical equipment; contract emergency repairs as necessary; inspect and maintain equipment in sewer pumping stations and manholes.
    • Inform plant operator and supervisor of any needed alterations, extensions and improvements to the plant, equipment and processes.
    • Reports to plant operator and supervisor.
    • Performs related work as required.
    • Work for other departments as directed

    Requirements of Work

    • Ability to work effectively alone or in a team.
    • Ability to meet training and testing requirements. Acquire Group 1 Wastewater Water Treatment Plant Operator certification within 1 year.
    • Ability to determine from charts, graphs, and meters the cause of equipment or process failures and the necessary source of action to correct such cause.
    • Ability to react quickly and calmly in an emergency.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective public and work relations.
    • Dedication to accurately maintain records and prepare reports.
    • Skill in the mechanical repair of a variety of plant equipment.
    • Basic understanding of outlook, word, and excel.
    • Previous plumbing or electrical experience a plus.
    • Be able to acquire within 6 months a Washington State Boater Education Card.
    • Current driver’s license a must.

    While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; kneel, bend, or climb and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    This position regularly works outside in various weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee may be exposed to physical hazards from mechanical and electrical equipment and will sometimes work in hazardous areas under hazardous conditions. The employee occasionally works in traffic, near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock and radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

    This position works a regular schedule; however, incumbents may be called in to work at irregular times in emergency situations, and incumbents must be available for call-out and stand-by duty as needed. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

    Wage:  $12.50 per hour with overtime as time and a half.
