Every year we hire nearly 200 seasonal employees to meet our summer seasonal needs. Some departments gear up in late March, while most job openings begin in early May and go through September, some extending into October. At a minimum, seasonal candidates are expected to be available through Sunday, September 29, 2019.

    Account Clerk Job Summary

    We are currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Account Clerk to join our busy department. Under the direction of the department manage. The Account Clerk is responsible for providing bookkeeping support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. Daily tasks including entering data into daily worksheets to the general ledger system and ensuring files are complete and maintained as needed. The Account Clerk also handles accounts payable, cash process and Accounts receivable duties, and assists accounting personnel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of attention to detail, a comfort with numbers, and a passion for strict adherence to process.

    Account Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform bookkeeping and clerical functions
    • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems
    • Issue checks for accounts payable, and place checks in envelopes and mail out
    • Record charges and refunds in the accounting software

    • Payroll Experience
    • Record business transactions, input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records
    • Provide front desk customer service to customers who visit or call into the office
    • Utilize computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies; Ten Key a must, databases and bank accounts
    • Excel Spreadsheet Experience
    • Match invoices to work orders; reconcile and document
    • Compile and sort invoices and checks, file and tally deposits, process bills for payment, and arrange and organize deposits

    We have year-round and seasonal positions open for licensed massage therapists at Afterglow Spa.
    Our spa is open year round (with the exception of a 3-week closure in January).

    We are seeking caring and professional individuals with excellent customer service skills and teamwork philosophy to create an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible, dependable, flexible and in good health.

    Must be competent in swedish, deep tissue, prenatal and hot stone modalities and be able to provide quality massage/bodywork for 3-5 services per day, 4-5 days per week, and be willing to learn new modalities and body treatments. Afterglow will provide training in spa signature touches and body treatment protocols.  


    Job Summary

    Provide massage services and body treatments to guests using Kerstin Florian and Pure Fiji body oils and body scrubs. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, medical conditions, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout service. Promote and sell spa services including retail offerings related to the spa. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, disposal of dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. 

    You must possess a current Washington State Massage License.

    Compensation is commission based depending on experience.

    Job Summary:  Provide nail care services such as manicures and pedicures to guests. Assess guest needs, inquire about contraindications, to evaluate the condition, appearance, and appropriateness of scheduled service. Determine and advise guests on proper nail care. Demonstrate, promote, and sell spa retail products. Answer questions about general property information and amenities. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Check with the guest to ensure continued comfort throughout service. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. Clean, maintain and sterilize tools and equipment. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and nail salon throughout your shift. Dispose of dirty linens in the proper area. Secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager on duty.

    The spa attendant greets guests and escorts them to the relaxation lounge and locker room. Spa attendants are responsible to set up the spa for scheduled treatments, keep locker room and relaxation lounge tidy and stocked, and break down and organize spa for the next business day. Ideal candidates are pleasant and friendly, and are detail oriented to enhance the guest experience. The spa attendant assists the receptionist and massage therapists to help the spa operation run smoothly.

  • Spa Manager

    Afterglow Spa has a rare opportunity for a year round Spa Manager to oversee the Spa operation at Roche Harbor Resort.


    The Spa Manager oversees all aspects of the spa operation including massage therapy, skincare, nail care, hydrotherapy and retail. The manager must become an expert in the spa software and appointment booking system in Millennium. Staff related duties include recruiting, hiring, training, development and scheduling employees. In addition the Spa Manager will interact directly with customers to resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction with spa services and personnel.


    Qualified candidates should possess a bachelors degree or hospitality/spa industry credential, such as ISPA Spa Management Certification, and or a service credential in massage therapy, esthetics or cosmetology.

    Basic computer skills in word, excel, and knowledge of or willing to master Millennium software.

    Management experience in hospitality or other service industry, and experience in retail and general POS transactions.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Works closely with the spa director, responsible for the day to day spa operation. Must maintain a harmonious culture within the spa and support the spa mission statement. The spa manager will recruit and oversee all spa staff, manage operations budget, create and manage weekly/monthly appointment book. This includes maximizing reservations for spa services. Exceed customer expectations. Manage and maintain appropriate back bar supplies and retail inventory. Supervise facility maintenance, to ensure all equipment is in working order. Manage ordering of necessary supplies, and equipment. Work with spa director to develop spa menu, pricing and protocol. Organize and oversee staff training, development and reviews. Assist spa director in creating annual operational budget for the spa. Responsible for budgeted financial results. Create marketing and promotional campaigns. Organize training and events with product vendors.

    Compensation is hourly DOE, plus year end performance budget

    The ideal candidate is outgoing, with a passion for excellent customer service. The receptionist is responsible for greeting guests in the spa, scheduling spa appointments, managing the register for guests checking out, retail sales and balancing cash drawer at end of day. We will provide training and education on our spa products that we sell in our retail area. The receptionist is also responsible for some spa attending during off peak shifts.
