    Performs variety of accounting and clerical tasks.  Processes daily combined sales reports and miscellaneous Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger Postings.  Assists in other areas of accounting as assigned. Prioritizes daily work schedule to meet accounting's established deadlines. Accounting employee 8:30am-4:30pm, five days a week, including Saturday and Sunday (for summer season only, no weekends in the off season)

    • Assist in all areas of accounting as assigned by the accounting manager.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication skills with ability to listen, hear and resolve the concerns of staff and managers needs

    • High school diploma with various accounting experience
    • Computer skills to include Excel and Word Processing
    • Ability to work independently, under minimum supervision, while performing multi-tasks within the workplace environment 
    • Experience with automated accounting systems
    • Must maintain a professional, neat and well groomed personal appearance 
    • Possess excellent organizational skills
    • Discretion and trustworthiness as a result of access to confidential information
    • Must be able to operate a ten-key adding machine by touch

    General Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in seated position for an extended period of time

    surrounded by saltwater.  Madrona opens early in the morning making donuts from scratch and serving a hearty mid-west style breakfast with crispy hashbrowns dripping with butter, fresh egg creations, famous thin style pancakes and iron skillet retro hash dishes. Then the café switches over to a café style lunch with burgers grilled sandwiches, fish & chips and fresh salads.  In the evening we make another shift and serve brick oven pizzas.  We use only the finest ingredients and are very proud of our wild yeast sourdough pizza dough.  We toss every pie by is hand tossed and custom made then baked to bubbly perfection, Lime Kiln Café is also a great place to get a fast, substantial meal. Lime Kiln Cafés menu is made from scratch with high quality local products.

From sweeping up trash, fixing pavers, weed-eating hillsides, filling potholes, deadheading flowers, re-planting pots & hanging baskets, raking up leaves, pruning hedges, hula-hoeing planting beds, blowing off parking lots, pruning perennials, we do it all.

    Requirements include:

    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, walk & work on feet all day, bend over for a prolonged time, work on knees….must be an agile worker in good physical shape
    • Must speak English
    • Execute directions efficiently and effectively
    • Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment & switch tasks as needed

    We are looking for a reliable Year Round Handyman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of company premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs.

    Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

    Responsibilities

    • Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc.
    • Perform maintenance and light repairs
    • Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
    • Undertake light installation or carpenting (e.g. build cabinets)
    • Repair equipment or appliances
    • Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
    • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)
    • Identify and report the need for major repairs

    Roche Harbor Utilities is seeking a mechanically minded Utility Worker for our water, wastewater, and propane systems.  Once trained, the operator will be responsible for all aspects of the wastewater treatment plant, collection system operation and maintenance, and water distribution operation and maintenance and propane distribution system. Trainees will work under the supervision of the water, wastewater, and propane lead operator.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan and carry out the work in the maintenance and operation of a wastewater treatment plant, water treatment plant, Propane Plant, and associated collection/distribution systems.
    • Obtain samples according to established procedures; perform standard laboratory tests; solve problems using standard chemical formulas and algebra.
    • Hose, wash, or clean all plant equipment pumps, motors, floors, and walls on a regular schedule to maintain established sanitary standards.
    • Maintain daily operating records, note equipment performance, chemicals and supplies used. Read and interpret meters, gauges, and graphs. take action as necessary in the event of malfunction or failure of equipment.
    • Operates all plant mechanical and electrical equipment; contract emergency repairs as necessary; inspect and maintain equipment in sewer pumping stations and manholes.
    • Inform plant operator and supervisor of any needed alterations, extensions and improvements to the plant, equipment, and processes.
    • Reports to plant operator and supervisor.
    • Performs related work as required.
    • Work for other departments as directed.

    Requirements of Work

    • Ability to work effectively alone or in a team.
    • Ability to meet training and testing requirements. 
      • Acquire Operator certification within 1 year.
      • Acquire Washington Flagger Card
    • Ability to determine from charts, graphs, and meters the cause of equipment or process failures and the necessary source of action to correct such cause.
    • Ability to react quickly and calmly in an emergency.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective public and work relations.
    • Dedication to accurately maintain records and prepare reports.
    • Skill in the mechanical repair of a variety of plant equipment.
    • Basic understanding of Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Previous plumbing and electrical experience a plus.
    • Current Driver’s License a must.
