  • Housekeeping Supervisor

    This position assists the Housekeeping Manager with the oversight and management to ensure cleanliness and high standards in all units. This includes following up on maintenance requests and inspecting each arrival. You will assist with daily task scheduling and mentoring staff. The Housekeeping Supervisor works alongside their crew daily to train and actively clean to meet daily deadlines. During shoulder seasons, the Housekeeping Supervisor may be the primary staff to perform cleans, checks, and deep cleans.  

    The successful candidate will have supervisory experience, hospitality housekeeping experience, and will provide that can-do attitude to inspire others to strive for high performance and embrace hard work.  

    Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

    Requirements: 

    Drivers license with good driving record. 

    Prior Supervisory Experience. 

    Lifting to 40 lbs Required. 

    Physically able to ascend stairs up & down several times during day while carrying up to 30 lbs. 

    Attention to detail. 

    Great Customer Service Skills.

    Summary: Directs staff responsible for cleaning private condominiums and homes in the hospitality division. Checks housekeepers work to ensure quality meets impeccable standards. For specific information on performance protocols, please refer to the Policies and Procedures manual for the housekeeping department. The housekeeping supervisor performs the duties as follows:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Directs, supervises and monitors progress of housekeepers engaged in the cleaning of private condominiums and homes for hospitality or residential divisions.

    Works with and reports to Housekeeping Management.

    Participates actively in planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with work loads (actual cleans and/or towel changes), appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assures adherence to management company policies and established operating and safety procedures.

    Ensures each housekeeper’s daily schedule will be met and assists with actual cleaning as needed.

    Drives housekeeping team to and from properties.

    Delivers needed supplies to housekeepers and properties throughout day as necessary.

    Performs on a regular basis common area cleaning and supervision of common area cleaning.

    Re-schedules or re-adjusts team workload between team members, as necessary daily.

    Sorts, counts, folds, marks, carries linens and towels.

    Monitors inventory and supplies in and around various properties.

    Ensures team responds to guest and/or owner requests professionally and greets guests and owners when met on property. Maintains professional and personable presence around guests and owners.

    Ensures proper working order of cleaning equipment (vacuum bag replacement, etc).

    Maintains a secure key control system to ensure the safety of our guests, owners, and their property.

    Conducts deep cleans, performs unit inventory and maintenance needs evaluations.

    Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and valid driver license in order to comply with our insurance requirements of non-livery drivers.

    Drives to and from properties in a safe and lawful manner. Always being mindful of safety and adherence to the rules of the road.

    You will be responsible for snow removal, maintaining grounds, and common areas of resort properties and condominiums, to include picking up trash and other debris or waste, cleaning, and skilled tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry) as designated by the manager.

    This position also assists our front desk with guest requests or needs, like minor repairs to units, delivering requested items, or improving working condition of vacation property.

    You will work both inside and outside, and primarily work independently.

    Summary: Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and physical appearance of buildings, structures, grounds, common areas and rental units of all resort properties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    Day to day care and upkeep of common areas for all resort properties to include snow and ice removal, basic landscaping, sweeping of both interior and exterior floors and walkways and trash pickups.

    Maintains high quality standards for all buildings and grounds, ensuring that common areas, buildings and grounds meet first class standards at all times.

    Transports trash, waste and recycling to proper disposal areas.

    Delivers and picks up guest requested items such as fans, air mattresses or sheets and towels as necessary.

    Performs minor repairs in rental units including replacing light bulbs, CO monitors, smoke detectors and/or remote batteries.

    Performs basic maintenance repairs in rental units and on HOA properties to include basic electrical, plumbing, audio visual, pool and spa, painting and drywall work.

    Performs more skilled maintenance repairs in rental units and on HOA properties to include more advanced electrical, plumbing, audio visual, pool and spa, painting and drywall work.

    Achieves and maintains CPO certification through in class training and testing if necessary.

    Occasional use of power tools upon passing basic power tool safety training.

    Assisting other departments as requested, including moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies or transporting small equipment or tools between departments.

    Ensures all work orders assigned are satisfactorily completed while maintaining accurate timesheets and production records for pay and billing information.

    Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, while never sacrificing safety.

    Communicates with supervisors and front desk staff of potential problems that might arise or affects guest or owner satisfaction or safety.

    Adheres to company policies and follows all safety regulations.

This position will actively clean alongside crew, and may solely perform all common area cleaning tasks during the shoulder seasons.

    Works with and reports to the Director of Housekeeping, with close collaboration with individual housekeeping property managers as responsibilities overlap for specific property assignments.
    Participates actively in planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with workloads (actual common area cleaning), appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assures adherence to management company policies and established operating and safety procedures.
    Participates in creating and continuously monitors the time-study data to provide accurate actual time/hours required for cleaning tasks by property.

    Enters work orders and actual time study data into the software program, V12. Works with the accounting department to achieve accurate revenue billing for work performed.
