Lift Operator/Ticket Checker positions are now being hired for the summer season. If you stay for the entire season, you will receive a bonus of .50¢ per hour for every hour that you worked during the season.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Operate assigned equipment in a safe, competent and knowledgeable manner.
- Conduct all pre-operation safety checks.
- Responsible for the safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of electric or auxiliary operation.
- Maintain loading areas, unloading areas, mazes, dampers, and ramps, and lift logs to prescribed standards.
- Instruct guests on safety procedures.
- Execute the safe, courteous and efficient loading and unloading of passengers.
- Command an alert, conscientious and reactive ability while operating the chairlift.
- Observe riders boarding lift to ensure they are safely seated and safety bars are secure.
- Inspect, record and report the condition of all lift machinery.
- Maintain an informed status of lift openings and closures and general operating conditions.
- Create open communication with the guest and fellow workers.
- Diplomatically handles awkward or negative situations.
- Responsible for checking all season passes and all lift tickets for authenticity.
- Refuse admittance to patrons without ticket or pass, or who are undesirable for reasons such as intoxication or improper attire.
- Keep the area clean of trash.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move heavyweight up to 100 pounds.
Other duties and responsibilities
- Direct drivers where to park vehicles.
- Patrol parking area to prevent thefts from parked vehicles.
- Assist with Lift evacuations.
- Provide assistance to Lift Maintenance.
- May be requested to work extra hours with little or no notice.
- Keep nice and neat appearance, keep uniform clean and have good personal hygiene.
- Willingly perform any task outside the normal job parameters that are assigned which may be required to help the Lift Department or Red River Ski & Summer Area to meet required goals or standards.

Retail and Ticket Sales positions are now being hired for the summer season. Applicants must enjoy interacting with guests in a fast-paced environment. Ticket Sales Agents are responsible for the sales of Chairlift tickets, Mountain Tubing tickets, Pioneer Flyer tickets, retail sales, and other products may be added.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Instruct guests on how to use Self Entry stations.
- Enter products into the system using our sales software to quote prices and charge customers.
- Collect payment, give change, collect signed credit card receipts.
- Explain the receipts and describe features of an item purchased.
- Verify cash drawer at the beginning of the shift and inform supervisor immediately of any discrepancy.
- Count cash at the end of the shift filling out a cash drawer report stating the daily total.
- Maintain work area to be clean and organized.
- Cheerfully provide direction or information about the mountain and services.
- Willingly perform any task outside the normal job parameters that are assigned which may be required to help the Ticket Sales Department or Red River Ski Area.

Ropes Course Guides are now being hired for the summer season. The Hidden Treasure Guides will guide participants through all features of the Ropes / Zip Course. Guides will provide training and safety instructions for challenge ropes course while creating a positive guest experience by increasing confidence, enhancing group dynamics and expanding problem-solving abilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for safe operation of Hidden Treasure ropes course, including using learned skills and procedures to educate participants, perform routine safety checks or set up of features.
- Act as a positive role model by directing activities, enforcing safety regulations and dealing effectively with stressful situations or people.
- Utilize communication skills to coach, cultivate experiential learning and gain the cooperation of participants. Demonstrate competency in technical skills associated with course operation, including knots, belay skills and personal protective equipment such as harness fitting and helmets.
- Maintain constant surveillance and visually scan assigned area of responsibility every 10 seconds.
- Walk the area as required to monitor activities, provide instructions, and prevent accidents.
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor immediately.
- Caution participants regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards, enforcing all rules and regulations. Demonstrate working knowledge of emergency procedures, performing the following skills as necessary: aerial rescue or evacuation, and contact of emergency medical services.
- Properly prepare designated features and store equipment in an appropriate location.
- Ensure assigned area is clean and free of hazards, including but not limited to: use of cleaning products for sanitization, removal of debris/litter, emptying trash and performing light landscaping of guest areas.
- Attend and participate in all mandatory staff meetings and training.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, including abiding by uniform requirements.
- Act as an Ambassador for Red River Ski & Summer Area with extensive knowledge of all activities, conditions, and events. All other duties assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time (4-6 hours) with routine exposure to sun and other weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain).
- Ability to frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, stretch and climb without difficulty. Continuously works on elevated platforms (up to 60 feet in the air), occasionally on uneven and/or slippery surfaces with periodic exposure to hazardous situations.

General Purpose for Shop Mechanic
Repairs maintains and overhauls diesel, and gasoline automobiles, trucks, tractors, snowmobiles, snow grooming machines and other vehicles by performing the following duties.
- Examines vehicle and discusses with supervisor nature and extent of damage or malfunction. Plans work procedure.
- Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle.
- Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Overhauls or replaces carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps.
- Rebuilds parts such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks. Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel.
- Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator.
- Mends damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts.
- Installs new ignition systems, aligns front wheels, changes or recharges batteries, and replaces transmissions and other parts.
- Overhauls electric, gas or diesel engines.
- Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
- Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings.
- Visually inspects hydraulic lines and components to detect leaks, damage, and wear.
- Replaces worn or damaged hydraulic components such as oil lines, fittings, cylinders, servo‑valves, pressure release valves, gaskets, and seals.
- Performs routine maintenance such as changing filters.

Summer Tubing Attendant positions are now being hired for the summer season. This person will provide guests with a safe and fun environment by operating according to procedures and offering excellent customer service. Instruct guests on safety procedures and are responsible for checking tubing tickets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruct guests on safety procedures.
- Check tubing tickets.
- Refuse admittance to patrons without ticket or pass, or who are undesirable for reasons such as intoxication.

We are now hiring for Cafeteria Staff positions at the Ski Tip Restaurant. The candidate must be dependable and enjoy working in a team environment. Daily duties include food preparation, cooking, stocking, and cleaning. F&B employees receive a shift meal when working. Pay will depend on experience.
