  • Sales Representative

    Guest Services & Ticket Sales
    Red River

    Sales Representatives are responsible for handling in person and over the phone sales and reservations. Promote a friendly and welcoming environment to our guests. Be an excellent communicator who can respond quickly and efficiently to guest needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Greet guests, listen, and understand their needs.
    • Instruct guests on how to use Waiver Stations.
    • Perform sales of Scenic Summer Chairlift, Summer Mountain Tubing, Pioneer Flyer, and Retail. 
    • Collects payment for products sold using our sales software focusing on cash management.
    • Verify cash drawer at the beginning of the shift and inform supervisor immediately of any discrepancy.
    • Maintain a work area that is clean and organized.
    • Cheerfully provide direction or information about the mountain and services.
    • Dispense accurate information about Red River Ski & Summer Area and activities. 
    • Effectively and cleary communicate information when person-to-person or on the telephone.
    • When communicating over telephone, more descriptive language may be required to accurately sell products.
    • In all sales, but especially when selling over the phone, accurate, complete information must be collected.
    • Listen carefully to guest concerns, collect pertinent information, and find a solution for the problems. 
    • Make changes to guests purchases or reservations.
    • Keep communication lines open with supervisors in Guest Services. 
    • Help coordinate lunch breaks. 
    • Issue Season Passes and Employee Passes.
    • Load employee debit card and collect appropriate form for payroll deduction. 
    • Keep kiosks stocked and resolve user issues 
    • Collects and distributes mail and messages. 
    • Performs variety of clerical duties. 
    • Operates Lost and Found service. 
    • Be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime may be required.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Opening procedure including:  Stocking and cleaning area before opening. 
    • Closing procedure including:  Close out drawers, stock and clean, lock doors. 
    • Assist reservations department processing phone or online reservations. 
    • Assist marketing team during special events, including selling registration or tickets.
    • Willingly perform any task outside the normal job parameters that enable Red River Ski & Summer Area to present itself well.  

    Qualifications 

    • Willingness to learn new software. Training provided.
    • Must be dependable and punctual with daily scheduling.
    • Demonstrate good guest and employee relation skills: Be pleasant and patient with everyone. 
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to understand and respond quickly to instructions.

    Work Environment 

    • May be required to stand long periods of time.
    • May be required to work holidays and weekends.

    Education and/or Experience 

    • High School Graduate or GED.
    • Prior Guest Services and Cashiering experience preferred but not required.
  • Lift Operator

    Lift Operations
    Red River

    Assist and interact with guests getting on and off chair lifts. Operate and monitor chair lift as well as maintain daily logs, reports and check lists. Assist with ticket checking and other mountain operations tasks as assigned.  Must have ability to understand instructions, give directions and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors and most important our guests. Must communicate effectively under pressure and/or during emergency situations. Must be reliable and prepared to stand/work outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. 

    The lift operations department is also responsible for the Pioneer Flyer, which is a seated zip line and all duties listed below also apply to the Pioneer Flyer. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Operate assigned equipment in a safe, competent and knowledgeable manner.
    • Conduct all pre-operation safety checks.
    • Maintain loading areas, unloading areas, and lift logs to prescribed standards.
    • Instruct guests in safety procedures.
    • Execute the safe, courteous and efficient loading and unloading of passengers.
    • Command an alert, conscientious and reactive ability while operating the chairlift. 
    • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. 
    • Maintain an informed status about lift openings and closures and general operating conditions.
    • Create an open communication with the guest and fellow workers.
    • Responsible for checking all season passes and all lift tickets for authenticity. 
    • Keep area clean of trash.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to help other departments of RRSA.

    • Assist with lift evacuations.
    • May be requested to work extra hours with little or no notice.
    • Keep nice and neat appearance, keep uniform clean and have good personal hygiene.

    Qualifications

    • Must be dependable and punctual with daily scheduling.
    • Demonstrate good guest and employee relation skills: ability to be pleasant, courteous and actively friendly with everyone. 
    • Ability to identify and accommodate shifting priorities with little or no notice.
    • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities for extended periods of time. 
    • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    Work Environment 

    • Working outdoors in varied weather conditions, standing for long periods of time.
    • Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
    • Employees may be required to work holidays and weekends.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School Graduate or GED
    • No prior experience, training is provided.
  • Desktop Support Technician

    Information Technology
    Red River

    The Desktop Support Technician will work with the Ski and Summer area staff to support and troubleshoot Desktop and laptop computers, Applications, Networking, VOIP, Office 365, and any general technology-based problems that occur. This position is a limited opportunity for any individual that has a passion for the outdoors in a mountain environment that provides them access to winter and summer sports while acquiring experience within the IT industry learning the technical aspect of how a resort operates.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide support for hardware and software computing issues
    • Identify staff needs and recommend potential solutions
    • Assist senior staff with daily tasks 
    • Document tasks and new procedures in our ticketing system
    • Setup equipment for staff with proper installation of hardware, cabling, and software
    • Escalation to senior staff where appropriate
    • On-boarding of new users to the domain and primary software suite.
    • User account troubleshooting (password resets, permissions)

    Qualifications

    • Ability to communicate well with a diverse group of people
    • The desire to learn and start a career in the IT industry
    • Familiar with Windows operating systems, Microsoft office suite, Network cables or Wi-Fi
    • Able to Ski/Snowboard or willingness to learn
    • Lift and move 50 pounds

    Work Environment 

    • This position primarily works indoors but also works outdoors in varied weather conditions
    • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High school education
    • Any experience troubleshooting issues or experience with customer service
  • Mountain Tubing Attendant

    Summer Tubing
    Red River

    Provide guests with a safe and fun environment by operating according to procedure and offering excellent customer service. Instruct guests in safety procedures. Responsible for checking tubing tickets

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Instruct guests in safety procedures.
    • check tubing tickets.
    • Refuse admittance to patrons without ticket or pass, or who are undesirable for reasons such as intoxication.  
    • Conduct all pre-operation safety checks.
    • Check track conditions before opening for customers and communicate any safety concerns. 
    • Execute the safe, courteous and efficient loading and unloading of passengers.  
    • Create an open communication with the guest and fellow workers and diplomatically handle awkward or negative situations which includes informing your supervisor.  

    Other Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Keep the area clean of trash and assisting with Lift evacuations.    
    • You may be requested to work extra hours with little or no notice. 
    • Be willing to perform any task outside the normal job parameters that are assigned which may be required to help the Tubing Department or Red River Ski Area meet required goals or standards.  
    • You must keep nice and neat appearance. Keep your uniform clean and have good personal hygiene.

    Qualifications

    • Must be dependable and punctual with daily scheduling.
    • Demonstrate good guest and employee relation skills: ability to be pleasant, courteous and actively friendly with everyone. 
    • Ability to identify and accommodate shifting priorities with little or no notice.
    • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities for extended periods of time. 
    • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    Work Environment

    • Working outdoors exposed to sun and rain, standing for long periods of time.
    • Must occasionally lift and/or move heavy weight up to 100 pounds.
    • Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
    • Employees may be required to work holidays and weekends.

    Education and/or Experience

    • No prior experience or training.
