Guest Services & Ticket Sales
Sales Representative
Red River
Sales Representatives are responsible for handling in person and over the phone sales and reservations. Promote a friendly and welcoming environment to our guests. Be an excellent communicator who can respond quickly and efficiently to guest needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
• Greet guests, listen, and understand their needs.
• Instruct guests on how to use Waiver Stations.
• Perform sales of Scenic Summer Chairlift, Summer Mountain Tubing, Pioneer Flyer, and Retail. 
• Collects payment for products sold using our sales software focusing on cash management.
• Verify cash drawer at the beginning of the shift and inform supervisor immediately of any discrepancy.
• Maintain a work area that is clean and organized.
• Cheerfully provide direction or information about the mountain and services.
• Dispense accurate information about Red River Ski & Summer Area and activities. 
• Effectively and cleary communicate information when person-to-person or on the telephone.
• When communicating over telephone, more descriptive language may be required to accurately sell products.
• In all sales, but especially when selling over the phone, accurate, complete information must be collected.
• Listen carefully to guest concerns, collect pertinent information, and find a solution for the problems. 
• Make changes to guests purchases or reservations.
• Keep communication lines open with supervisors in Guest Services. 
• Help coordinate lunch breaks. 
• Issue Season Passes and Employee Passes.
• Load employee debit card and collect appropriate form for payroll deduction. 
• Keep kiosks stocked and resolve user issues 
• Collects and distributes mail and messages. 
• Performs variety of clerical duties. 
• Operates Lost and Found service. 
• Be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime may be required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities 
• Opening procedure including:  Stocking and cleaning area before opening. 
• Closing procedure including:  Close out drawers, stock and clean, lock doors. 
• Assist reservations department processing phone or online reservations. 
• Assist marketing team during special events, including selling registration or tickets.

Desktop Support Technician
Red River
The Desktop Support Technician will work with the Ski and Summer area staff to support and troubleshoot Desktop and laptop computers, Applications, Networking, VOIP, Office 365, and any general technology-based problems that occur. This position is a limited opportunity for any individual that has a passion for the outdoors in a mountain environment that provides them access to winter and summer sports while acquiring experience within the IT industry learning the technical aspect of how a resort operates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide support for hardware and software computing issues
• Identify staff needs and recommend potential solutions
• Assist senior staff with daily tasks 
• Document tasks and new procedures in our ticketing system
• Setup equipment for staff with proper installation of hardware, cabling, and software
• Escalation to senior staff where appropriate
• On-boarding of new users to the domain and primary software suite.
• User account troubleshooting (password resets, permissions)
Qualifications
• Ability to communicate well with a diverse group of people
• The desire to learn and start a career in the IT industry
• Familiar with Windows operating systems, Microsoft office suite, Network cables or Wi-Fi

Lift Operator / Ticket Checker

Red River
Lift Operator/Ticket Checker positions are now being hired for the winter season.  If you stay for the entire season, you will receive a bonus of .50¢ per hour for every hour that you worked during the season.  
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Operate assigned equipment in a safe, competent and knowledgeable manner.
• Conduct all pre-operation safety checks.
• Responsible for the safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of electric or auxiliary operation.
• Maintain loading areas, unloading areas, mazes, dampers, and ramps, and lift logs to prescribed standards.
• Instruct guests on safety procedures.
• Execute the safe, courteous and efficient loading and unloading of passengers.
• Command an alert, conscientious and reactive ability while operating the chairlift.
• Observe riders boarding lift to ensure they are safely seated and safety bars are secure.
• Inspect, record and report the condition of all lift machinery.
• Maintain an informed status of lift openings and closures and general operating conditions.
• Create open communication with the guest and fellow workers.
• Diplomatically handles awkward or negative situations.
• Responsible for checking all season passes and all lift tickets for authenticity.
• Refuse admittance to patrons without ticket or pass, or who are undesirable for reasons such as intoxication or improper attire.
• Keep the area clean of trash.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move heavyweight up to 100 pounds.

Parking Lot Attendant

Assist and interact with guests as they first arrive at the ski area. Be willing to answer any questions they might have and be able to direct them to where they need to go to get rentals, lift tickets, ski lessons, etc. Be able to communicate with guests effectively and professionally while maintaining the flow of traffic within the parking lot.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be able to set up the parking lot’s walkways and parking pylons properly individually or with coworkers.
• Must have valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicles.
• Conduct ingoing and outgoing traffic in a timely and professional manner in both parking lots.
• Must be able to keep traffic flowing smoothly and quickly at all times, especially in the morning and afternoon.
• Must be willing to stand outside for 8+ hours a day in any weather conditions.

Rental Shop Technician

Working as a Rental Tech is a fun and unique opportunity to share your love for snowsports with guests and RRSA employees. You will have the opportunity to take initiative each and every day to make a positive, meaningful impact on our guest's experience.   Plus, our rental team seems to have some of the most fun on the mountain, all while expanding their knowledge of the sport and the mountain, and making new ski and ride friends. 
Positions in the Rental Shop include Boot Tech, Ski/Snowboard Tech, and Ski Storage.  Full-time positions receive a complimentary season pass while employed. - Must be able to work weekends and holidays. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Use software to assign boots to customers.
• Have customers read the Equipment Rental Release of Liability.
• Collect customer’s signature using the signature pads.
• Ask customer shoe size or measure customer's foot.
• Help the customer try on footwear, observes and questions the customer about fit.
• Organize boots, keeping them clean and dry.
• Use the tech station software to check equipment out.
• Set bindings to accept skier’s boots using manufacturers recommended settings.
• Inspect rental equipment in stock to detect those requiring repair or cleaning.
• Repair worn or damaged rental equipment.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage.
• Check equipment in using the tech station software and charge customers with overdue equipment.
• Run the storage sales point to upgrade ski equipment, rent helmets, bibs, jackets, lockers and storage bins.
• Verifies amount in the cash drawer at start and end of the shift.
• Records sales on sales software, charging customers correctly for the items purchased.
• Collect signed release for Helmet rental.
• Collect payment for overdue equipment.
• Receives patron's clothing filled container or ski equipment, furnishes claim check, places the container on storage shelf or rack, and returns container upon receipt of claim check.

• Arranges boxes, material, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
• Maintain rental shop organized and clean, including guest circulation areas and work areas.

Mountain Safety
• Educate guests in safety while promoting the New Mexico Ski Safety Act.
• Erect and maintain mountain signage, closed areas, ropes, and markings. 
• Correct any obstacles or safety issues ongoing throughout the day.
• Monitor trails for fast or reckless skiers and warns them of the risks of injury to themselves and others if deemed necessary.
• Close or maintain sections of the mountain due to weather, slope conditions or special events.
• Stop violators from skiing closed areas. 
• Assist or guide anyone who is having trouble.
• Perform sweeps of all main trails throughout the day and closing.
• Attend classroom sessions and field exercises of Avalanche training and rescue procedures.
• Perform any avalanche rescue or avalanche reduction. 
• Administer care and transport injured parties to the Ultimed Clinic
• Participate in any rescue or searches within our ski area boundary and help to locate or repairing lost or stolen equipment.
• Attend classroom sessions and field exercises of the evacuation procedures for all lifts.
• Evacuate any lift if necessary.
Incident Reporting
• All incidents will be reported on the appropriate forms.  They must be legible and completed in a timely manner.
• Any incident involving an RRSA employee while at work must be reported immediately to the department supervisor and forms must be submitted to Ana Haydon for Worker’s Compensation.
• All red-flag incidents must be reported to the Ski Patrol Director immediately.
Mountain Maintenance
• It is the RRSP responsibility to assist in all areas of mountain maintenance.  Ski packing, side slipping, grooming scars, snowmaking issues and any cleanup.  Also, any issues deemed necessary by Red River Ski Area Management.
Equipment Maintenance
• It is the responsibility of the RRSP to maintain all equipment in good condition.  All patrol equipment will be checked and maintained daily.
Work Environment
• Regularly work with machinery and moving mechanical parts and tools.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather and environmental conditions. 
• Lifting heavy weight, standing, climbing, and skiing will be required on a daily basis under any weather condition

Qualification

Youth Ski Center Coordinator

Overview:
The Youth Ski Center Lead position will be in charge of all non-lesson related duties involved in the Youth Ski Center.  This position will work closely with Ski School Director, Youth Ski & Snowboard Supervisors, and may oversee multiple inside staff.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Aid in Check-in/out processes
• Be the first point of contact for parents with questions
• Oversee and maintain daily cleanliness of Youth Ski Center and other related areas
• Aid children during breaks and other downtimes
• Set-up, help distribute, and tear-down daily youth lunches (Both in the youth center and chalet)
• Collect and submit daily lunch order forms.
• Aid in problem-solving with Ski School Supervisor and Director
• Help contact parents in case of sick children or other emergencies
• Monitor Youth Center supplies and re-order as necessary (Cleaning supplies, snacks, etc.)
• Help with distribution of coaching materials
• May be asked to transport children both indoor/outdoors in extreme weather condition
