Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Accounting Manager. This full time/year round position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, benefits, and other perks. The ideal applicant will have at least three years of high volume accounting experience, possess an upbeat attitude, and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.
SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The Accounting Manager is the primary role that manages the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department and is responsible for the Accounting Clerk, Night Audit, and Paymaster work performances.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Previous experience in Sales/Accounting in large resort setting preferred
- · Proven experience supervising small departments of employees
- · A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent required (bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business preferred)
- · Previous experience in executing against operating budgets, with an established history of meeting or exceeding established financial objectives
- · Advanced knowledge of Accounting Management Systems
- · Advanced knowledge of Accounting processes and procedures
- · Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem-solving abilities to ensure the highest level of productivity.
- · Ability to work on Mackinac Island for 7 months in season and remote for the remaining 5 months

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Painter. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will be mechanically inclined, experienced commercial painter, possess an upbeat personality, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary role of the painter is assisting and contributing to the Facilities Department. Responsible for the painting, plastering and wallpapering of guest rooms & public areas of the Resort to ensure a safe, efficient and well maintained hotel environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School or equivalent education with a minimum of one year of commercial painting experience.
- Experience installing and repairing drywall, plaster, and wallpaper.
- Ability to follow detailed and specific procedures and processes in completing department and/or project tasks

The primary role of the Accounting Clerk is to ensure that the highest standards for payments and receivables are consistently maintained within the department. This individual will ensure that all requests are responded to promptly, and will perform a variety of activities to ensure a consistent process within Accounting and all departments. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary role of the Gallery Attendant is to execute the day-to-day operations of the Mackinac Little Gallery, ensure the storefront is stocked and presentable and provide exceptional service to our guests in the various retail outlets.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing and PR Intern will assist the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and PR & Marketing Manager in development for content creation both internally with employee communications and externally with transient and group communications to achieve sales goals and improve employee communications, engagement and retention. Marketing will work closely with the Human Resources department on content direction.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or other relevant field or 4 years of similar experience
- Ability to live on or travel to and work on Mackinac Island for the summer season.

Responsible for the overnight operations of the Front Office and the accounting functions. Ensuring guest satisfaction while attending to the accounting side of business. This individual will ensure that guest and employee calls are responded to promptly, and will participate fully in the Mission Point Hospitality culture to ensure a consistently safe environment in all Front of House and Back of House spaces. This position reports to the Resort Security Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
