We are looking for hard-working team players that love to learn! We are located on the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan, surrounded by pristine Lake Superior and world-class mountain biking trails.

Mid-May to Mid-October seasonal position
The Breakfast and Prep Cook is responsible for cooking, prepping, cleaning, and servicing the daily operations of the restaurant’s kitchen. In addition, Cooks will appropriately collaborate with the kitchen management team to ensure that the kitchen is clean, organized, stocked, and efficient, ensuring optimized customer satisfaction with dining experiences. Cooks may be asked to perform other back of house duties as needed.
Applicants must: have commitment to quality, experience with cooking and preparing breakfast, attention to detail, posses interpersonal skills, manage time effectively, and be mature.

The Kitchen Supervisor/Cook will coordinate, plan, participate, and supervise the production, preparation, and presentation of food, breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night meals
Job Responsibilities
• Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods.
• Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage
• Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment is maintained, to ensure food safety and kitchen standards are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are maintained at all times
• Assist in schedule, training, resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline as appropriate, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.Qualifications
• Two to three years’ experience in a related culinary position, experience with breakfast is a +
• Candidate will possess two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
• Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
• Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
• Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
• Candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations and be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends.
