WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at Kenai Fjords Tours. As Departure Facilitator, you will facilitate smooth and timely boat departures by assisting with communication between guests, guest service agents and boat crewmembers. You will be the central point of contact for departures on the dock. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:
- Work with marine operations staff to ensure that vessel to ensure all departures are fully resourced and staffed
- Proactively coordinate with guest service agents to ensure that island transfers are efficient
- Interact with and address any guest questions or concerns on the dock
- Assist in same day and next day departure preparations
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills
- One year of experience in working boat operations at Kenai Fjords Tours
- Knowledge of Seward and Alaska history, geography and standard attractions
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly

As a Guest Service Agent, you will contribute to the overall guest satisfaction by providing courteous service. You will greet and assist guests and provide information about the Alaska Collection by Pursuit products. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:
- Assist guests in person and on the phone with information about tours and services
- Accurately capture reservations on the computer-based reservations system

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As the Logistics Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing supply support to the tour boats and building facilities. You will receive, check and shelve stock items and complete regular inventories. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:
- Assist the Warehouse Inventory Manager with obtaining, filling and transporting stock orders to tour vessels and building facilities
- Oversee warehouse operations when Warehouse Manager is not on-site
- Assist with receiving, checking, shelving and keeping inventories of warehouse stock items
- Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, including completing regular inventories of stock
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be 21 years of age to handle alcohol inventory
- Previous experience in warehouse stocking viewed advantageously
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities

Job Summary
Coordinates Kenai Fjords Tours’ personnel resources, equipment, supplies and activities to achieve safe operations, satisfy guest requirements, build teamwork and maximize profit
Essential Job Functions
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities):
/ Manage crews, boat inventory and passenger loads daily to ensure safety, passenger comfort and crew efficiency. Communicate with customer service, groups and inventory management to ensure coordination
/ Recruit, hire, train, and retain quality employees for work in operations. Ensure that the best possible employees serve our guests on the boats and in our transportation assets
/ Manage employee schedules on a long-term basis ensuring that vessels and vehicles are adequately manned with safe, properly trained employees
/ Maintain records for company (TAC) fleet vehicles and renewals as necessary
/ Ensure that all operations are in adherence with current state and federal policies. Educate employees about their responsibilities regarding these rules and regulations
/ Ensure that the Fox Island operation is fully and efficiently supported, with the goal of consistently improving the guest’s experience and safety in general
/ Train returning and new employees to ensure that the guest gets a safe and exceptionally enjoyable experience. Focus of training includes: safety/emergency response, guest service/interpretation, sanitary food service practices, vehicle, vessel and facility maintenance and care
/ Produce accurate training materials for employees. As a minimum this will include training and emergency response manuals for Transportation staff, and boat staff, as well as training matrixes for all positions
/ Design, communicate and evaluate operations policies and procedures ensuring uniformly high safety standards and guest service
/ Integrate, educate and communicate with local community, with the goal of ensuring that Kenai Fjords Tours’ views are heard on local proposals that affect us. We also seek to be a part of the community to ensure that Seward remains a friendly and enjoyable environment for tourism
/ Communicate regularly with sales, marketing and reservations staff, ensuring that what we are doing here in Seward matches what we are marketing, selling and packaging in Anchorage
Skills + Abilities:
/ Previous supervisory or management experience
/ Current CPR and 1st Aid Certification
/ Knowledge of DEC requirements for food preparation and fresh water system management
/ Understanding of The Alaska Collections products particularly focusing on Seward
/ Recruiting experience (particularly in the Alaska tourism job market)
/ Able to pass pre-employment and random NIDA drug screening tests
/ Familiar with FMCSA Regulations
Physical Abilities:
/ Frequent sitting, standing, walking and hearing required
/ Must be able to reach with hands, arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
/ Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
/ Must be able to work in harsh weather conditions for long hours on a variable schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
/ Experience managing operations and personnel
/ Extensive experience with windows based computer programs
/ CPR and 1st Aid Certification

As a Marine Boat Washer, you will contribute to the effective operations and overall guest satisfaction and comfort by maintaining the cleanliness of day trip vessels. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:
- Maintain the cleanliness of day trip vessels upon their return from cruises
- Thoroughly clean windows, decks, restroom facilities, floors and countertops
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills
- Basic knowledge of line handling techniques and common marine knots
- Must be 21 years of age or older

You will deliver excellent guest service, meet the guests' needs while following the guidelines of the establishment.
- Arrive to work on time, ready to work, dressed in clean uniform, with a neat and clean appearance
- Prepare beverage orders for guests
- Restock all supplies
- Account for all sales on the computer, collect payment & balance daily sales
- Work with all staff in providing excellent guest service
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals
- Abide by state food service regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the Espresso Bar, including wiping down espresso machine, refrigerators, counters & tables, emptying trashcans, vacuuming, etc.
- Adhere to all company policies & procedures, and safety training
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 1 year job experience
- Must have, or be able to obtain, Alaska Food Workers card
- Positive guest service attitude

- Order, receive and maintain inventory
- Ensure completion of daily and weekly tasks for the store and employees
