    Responsible for providing supply support to the tour boats and building facilities. Receive, check, and
    shelve stock items and complete regular inventories. Ensure warehouse inventory is maintained in an
    orderly manner.

    • Assist Logistics Manager with obtaining, filling, and transporting stock orders to tour vessels and
      building facilities
    • Assist with receiving, checking, shelving and keeping inventories of warehouse stock items. Handling
      alcohol inventory may be required
    • Maintain ready communication between the warehouse, main building, tour boats and island lodge
    • Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse, including completing regular inventories of stock
    • Run a variety of errands as assigned

    Uses company transportation assets to move guests and cargo in a safe, friendly and timely manner.
    Drivers conduct and coordinate basic maintenance on company vehicles and maintain records in
    accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation and company standards

    • Conduct pre and post operation maintenance on assigned vehicle daily. Annotate issues correctly
    • Operate shuttles along assigned routes, reporting changes or challenges to the coordinator

  • Assistant Port Mechanic & Engineer

    Kenai Fjords Tours

    Assist the Port Engineer with coordination, maintenance and improvement of company owned vessels and vehicles in order to maximize guest satisfaction, provide comfortable and safe transportation for our guests and staff, stay in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintain a cost effective operatio.

    • Assist the Port Engineer and Captain(s) conduct maintenance activities on company vessels and vehicles. Thoroughly document all activities as required, creating a functional recordkeeping history
    • Assist the Port Engineer and Captain(s) with providing service to the boat and vehicle fleet, with long term guest safety, comfort, and costs in mind
    • Maintain and organize adequate supplies of key maintenance and repair parts on hand to ensure periodic maintenance can happen without waiting for parts and that down time is minimized during summer months
    • Provide assistance to the Port Engineer, Transportation Coordinator and Operations Department when they are working with vendors, both parts and service, to ensure that we take advantage of our buying power
    • Responsible for the Phoenix Avenue warehouse including petroleum storage, tool storage, and general security. Coordinate with Boat Captains, Land Facilities Maintenance Technician and Transportation Coordinator to ensure prompt and proper disposal of all waste products, including but not limited to used oil collection
    • Coordinate with the Land Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure that the Phoenix Avenue warehouse is maintained with safety and functionality in mind
    • Assist the captains with maintenance activities of the boat crew. Stress the value of scheduled routine maintenance
    • Provided assistance to the Land Facilities and Fox Island Maintenance Technicians regarding all aspect of the Fox Island operation, including but not limited to; electrical and fresh water systems
    • Assist the Port Engineer and/or Transportation Coordinator to help ensure vessels and vehicles are maintained within applicable US Coast Guard and US Department of Transportation standards

  • Marine Passenger Services Manager

    Position Summary
    The Marine Passenger Services Manager, in conjunction with the General Manager, manages daily
    operations of the Guest Services department at Kenai Fjords Tours. Responsible for managing guest
    service, group sales and passenger activity and reporting to ensure efficient operations and high guest
    service standards are implemented and maintained. Maximizes Company profitability by
    management of boat seat inventory and cost management. Recruits, trains and manages guest service
    and group sales staff.

    Major Responsibilities
    / Work with inventory to ensure that vessel space is managed to maximize profit potential
    / Manage operations and training to ensure that guest safety is always a top priority.
    / Provide input to the staff and General Manager regarding steps to constantly improve the quality
    and effectiveness of the Kenai Fjords Tours products
    / Supervises the day-to-day activities of staff; manages and supervises personnel including goal
    setting, training, performance evaluations and reviews
    / Manage group and charter bookings for marine tours, to include accurate verification and
    submission of passenger information, collection of manifests and arrival/departure information,
    and timely, accurate closure of departures
    / Screen, hire, train and evaluate Marine Division guest service staff
    / Ensure guest service and group sales staff are well informed of sales goals, incentives, policies and
    procedures
    / Prepare and manage guest service department work schedules designed to meet the Company’s
    needs
    / Organize and facilitate meetings with staff to ensure good customer service principles are used to
    achieve overall guest satisfaction
    / Ensure key departments are regularly updated about departures with the 48-hour manifest, 12-
    hour manifest, and group sales report
    / Maintain Marine Division and Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge contracts, to include discounts,
    vessel assignments, and reservations system testing
    / Serve as back-up support for managing block requests for Kenai Fjord Tours and Kenai Fox Island
    Wilderness Lodge
    / Coordinate with cruise ship shore excursion personnel to determine final passenger counts,
    necessary land transportation, and departure reconciliation posting
    / Review future independent traveler, group and block bookings and advise affected departments
    on procedures and refund amounts for weather days
