As the Retail Assistant Manager, you will be responsible in assisting the Retail Manager in the inventory, cash accountability, staff training and scheduling and ensuring excellent guest service. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:

    • Assist Retail Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Kenai Fjords Tours retail stores
    • Provide guidance, tools and encouragement to staff
    • Assist in obtaining gift shop revenue goals
    • Maintain safety and security measures within the store for guests, employees and property
    • Prepare paperwork for accounting of daily sales and retail operations
    • Receive and display inventory

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficient in the use of computerized retail point-of-sale systems
    • Must possess strong leadership and training skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
    • Excellent guest service skills
    • Excellent organizational, follow-up and detail oriented skills
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

As Departure Facilitator, you will facilitate smooth and timely boat departures by assisting with communication between guests, guest service agents and boat crewmembers. You will be the central point of contact for departures on the dock. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:

    • Work with marine operations staff to ensure that vessel to ensure all departures are fully resourced and staffed
    • Proactively coordinate with guest service agents to ensure that island transfers are efficient
    • Interact with and address any guest questions or concerns on the dock
    • Assist in same day and next day departure preparations

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills
    • One year of experience in working boat operations at Kenai Fjords Tours
    • Knowledge of Seward and Alaska history, geography and standard attractions
    • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly

    • Assist in receiving, checking, shelving and keeping inventories of stock items in the warehouse
    • Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse, completing regular inventories of stock

    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

    Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at Kenai Fjords Tours. As a Shuttle Driver, you will use company transportation assets to move guests and cargo in a safe, friendly and timely manner. You will conduct and coordinate basic maintenance of vehicles and maintain records in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:

    • Conduct pre and post-operation maintenance on assigned vehicle
    • Operate shuttle along assigned route, reporting changes or delays to the Transportation Coordinator
    • Maintain records in accordance with state and DOT requirements regarding vehicle maintenance
    • Transport luggage, mark it correctly and distribute accordingly

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills
    • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record with passenger endorsements
    • Familiarity with cruise ship or group tour operations viewed advantageous

    STARTING WAGE $16.00 PER HOUR
