Tour Bus Drivers transports cruise guests and non-cruise guests to various locations at Icy Strait Point. The driver will ensure guests are transported to different locations based on the tour and scheduling.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic, Profitable
- Provide excellent customer service to all IPS guests
- Provide guests with general information about ISP
- Participate in all required trainings
- Promote other ISP venues, distribute ISP literature and/or sell ISP merchandise
- Work as greeters to welcome guests and conduct guest orientations
- Take tickets, and load passengers
- Assist within programs wherever needed
- Daily fueling and cleaning of vehicles as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Adequate knowledge or willingness to learn about Tlingit culture
- Valid CDL Driver’s license with ‘P’ endorsement and no air brake restriction
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate with ISP guests and others in a professional, friendly, and accurate manner.
- The Driver must be able to learn, retain and relay general ISP information.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Able to sit for extended periods
- Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting
- Able to walk and drive on gravel roads in inclement weather when on site.

Position Summary:
Icy Strait Point Sea Kayak Guides provide a leadership role as well as interpretation and narration for guests departing on sea kayak excursions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic, Profitable
- Safely guide guests by kayak in a dynamic marine environment.
- Perform lead guide, chase guide, outfitter and safety boat duties as assigned.
- Care for and maintain ISP equipment, vehicles and facilities in a neat, properly functioning, organized and presentable manner.
- Provide guests with information about the scenery, wildlife, history, culture and geography.
- Provide excellent customer service to all IPS guests.
- Participate in all required trainings.
- Maintain a current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Guides will be cross trained to lead all tours associated with Icy Strait Point and may be required to switch excursion assignment schedule if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have previous kayaking and/or guide experience.
- Previous outdoor leadership experience a plus
- Must be a competent swimmer.
- Must be in good physical condition, able to lift kayaks comfortably (40-80 lbs), and work outside during cold and wet conditions of Southeast Alaska weather.
- Adequate knowledge or willingness to learn about Tlingit culture.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Must have good verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn, retain and present excursion information to guests in an accurate manner.
- Promote other ISP venues, distribute ISP literature and/or sell ISP merchandise.

Guides are responsible for providing a positive experience for the guest while visiting Icy Strait Point. Guides will be cross trained to lead all tours associated with Icy Strait Point and may be required to switch excursion assignment schedule if necessary.

- Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic, Profitable
- Provide guests with information about the scenery, wildlife, history, culture and geography.
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
- Provide passenger counts, collect tickets and report tour departures for each tour.
- Maintain professionalism on and off tours.
- Be knowledgeable of the daily operations and venues of the site to answer any questions the guest may have.
- Ensure the safety of all Guests on tours.
- Assist Guest Reps when needed.
- Be a positive and enthusiastic member of the Icy Strait Point team.
- Assist in keeping equipment clean and tour ready for upcoming tours.
- Promote other ISP venues, distribute ISP literature and/or sell ISP merchandise
- Participate in all required trainings.
- Maintain a current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to learn and manage tour timings.
- Must be able to follow instructions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
