  • Team Housing Attendant

    Rooms Division
    Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
    $16.00 / hour

    Team Housing Attendants set the tone for each and every employee that checks into housing. You provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for team members, ensuring that all our employees have a clean home-away-from-home. You will be cleaning, and sanitizing employee housing rooms and public areas as assigned; supporting the safety standards, and assisting employees as the need arises. The Housekeeping team is made up of a diverse group of inspiring and passionate individuals who have fun working together on a daily basis.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Cleans the employee housing, public areas, and laundry rooms. 
    • Performs routine inspections to ensure the cleanliness and safety of rooms.  
    • Delivers meals to sick team members and assists with laundry duties.
    • Coordinates employee activities and events.
    • Drives employees to offsite events, and appointments.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must pass a pre-employment background check. 
    • Valid Drivers license (not revoked or suspended) with fewer than three moving violations
    • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.

  • Luggage Handler Supervisor

    Guest Services
    Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
    $19.00 / hour

    When preparing for a vacation, some spend days planning and packing the perfect outfit or bringing the right essentials to make their vacation run as smoothly and as comfortably as possible. As a luggage handler supervisor, you make sure all their packed belongings arrive at their new home-away-from-home. You and the rest of the team work together to collect, load, and disperse luggage daily to ensure our guests’ belongings follow them on their Alaskan journey.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervises and motivates the luggage team.  
    • Transfers luggage to and from guest rooms from loading areas and a variety of vehicles. 
    • Organize, sort, tallies, tag, and labels guest luggage daily. 
    • Ensures safe storage, collects and distributes ticketing of guests' personal items, and hand-carry luggage. 
    • Greet guests and provide escort or transportation to rooms and other locations as needed.  
    • Deliver messages, and guest amenities, and run errands while providing excellent customer service in a prompt and courteous manner. 
    • Assists with misplaced and damaged luggage. 
    • Communicates frequently with supervisors and other team members via radio for service or technical updates, requests, or concerns. 
    • Assist with guest service, front desk, and housekeeping duties during peak busy times and unexpected events, such as power outages. 
    • May respond to alarms and assist in the events of an emergency in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Food and Beverage Supervisor

    Food and Beverage
    Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge

    The Food and Beverage Supervisors are an integral part of the Food and Beverage Management team.  You will oversee all day to day restaurant operations providing excellent service to our guests including answering guest inquiries, and effectively handling complaints while maintain professionalism and friendly positive attitude that support HAP service excellence values.  This position supervises and motivates team members in line with company standards. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervises food and beverage staff and the activities of the food and beverage operations and services.
    • Monitors and tracks sales, prepares analysis and recommends strategies to achieve sales and performance goals.
    • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, objectives and applicable government laws and regulations.
    • Ensure all venues are always presentable and ready for service.
    • Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines.
    • Regular checks of cashier’s paperwork, deposits, tips and correct closeouts of the POS system.
    • Hold pre-shift meetings with all FOH Team Members.
    • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation guidelines. 
    • Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska. 
    • Minimum age of 21 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
    • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25-50 pounds.
    • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized point of sales (POS) systems.
    • Ability to comply with company health and safety requirements.
    • Must have a valid Alaska Food Handler's Card or the ability to obtain certification.
    • Must pass a pre-employment background check.

  • Fleet Detailer Supervisor

    Princess Cruises and Holland America Line offer a wide-variety of spectacular land and sea experiences. Our team supports a combined fleet of ships sailing to Alaska each summer, lodges and hotels, luxury motor coaches and the largest domed rail cars in the world. Our guests experience both luxury and adventure that is truly unmatched.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervises the team of fleet detailers, the fleet cleaning operations and activities. 
    • Coordinates vehicle cleaning and re-fueling with dispatch.  
    • Performs a variety of entry-level vehicle maintenance tasks.  
    • Routinely, oversees scheduling of cleaning and re-fueling fleet vehicles.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Previous experience involving vehicle or automotive detailing is normally preferred for this job.  
    • Prior supervisory experience is required.

  • Night Audit

    Behind the scenes in every successful business are the accountants and administrative staff that support the entire organization. As a night auditor, you analyze, verify, and report on all sales for the resort with an eye for detail. Auditing transactions and verifying records help keep us profitable. Businesses cannot continue the next day until the night auditor has finished their work and therefore is a crucial position to the functionality of the entire business. The small group of people that work overnight is a special team that makes sure the property is safe and the next business day starts over for each venue.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Process and print daily sales information using the property management system. 
    • Organize sales receipts from the front desk, tour desk, retail, and food & beverage departments and flag errors. 
    • Communicate with guests, employees, security, management, and emergency. personnel in the event of urgent and/or emergent medical and non-medical incidents on the property.  
    • Applies knowledge of local information, company products, optional tours, services, and operations for guests and employees to enhance their vacation and work experience. 
    • Provides excellent customer service and analyzes situations, investigates problems, and determines solutions.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to lift 25 lbs./11kg.

  • Fleet Maintenance Technician

Our team supports a combined fleet of ships sailing to Alaska each summer, lodges and hotels, motor coaches and domed rail cars for the best Alaska experience available.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs a variety of maintenance tasks on motorcoaches and service vehicles.
    • Routinely, performs preventive and repair maintenance.
    • Maintains maintenance facilities and areas according to established company standards.
    • Performs equipment inspections, determines appropriate action, and performs work.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Level of knowledge in motorcoach and over the road vehicle maintenance, equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of an Associate's degree or completion of technical training or certification.
    • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized maintenance inventory or purchasing systems.
    • Two years of experience in positions involving motorcoach maintenance.
    • Current, valid driver's license, with three (3) years clean driving record. Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested.
    • Must meet Company's clean driver eligibility requirements. 
    • Current, valid Commercial Driver's License, Class B with an air brake endorsement is preferred. (May be obtained through Company training course.)
    • CFC and brake inspector certification is preferred.

  • Luggage Handler

    When preparing for a vacation, some spend days planning and packing the perfect outfit or bringing the right essentials to make their vacation run as smoothly and as comfortably as possible. As a luggage handler, you make sure all their packed belongings arrive at their new home-away-from-home. You and the rest of the team work together to collect, load, and disperse luggage daily to ensure our guests’ belongings follow them on their Alaskan journey. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Transfers luggage to and from guest rooms from loading areas and a variety of vehicles. 
    • Organize, sort, tallies, tag, and labels guest luggage daily. 
    • Heavy lifting is a core part of the job (i.e. up-to 50 lbs)
    • Ensures safe storage, and collects and distributes ticketing of guests' personal items and hand-carry luggage. 
    • Greet guests and provide escort or transportation to rooms and other locations as needed.

  • Guest Service Agent

    Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
    $17.00 / hour

    Provides customer service by listening and responding to guests’ needs and concerns.  Applies knowledge of company products, optional tours, services, local information, policies, procedures, and guidelines to assist guests.  Implements and maintains procedures and policies within established company guidelines.  Participates in guest service activities and programs. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs a variety of moderately difficult customer service tasks.  
    • Applies knowledge of Company products, services, and policies to evaluate customers' needs, provide information, and resolve complaints.    
    • Coordinate guest amenity requests, reservations, and special requests.  
    • Assist customers, employees, and management and responds to queries. 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • One year of experience in positions involving customer service.  
    • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized reservation systems.  
    • Must pass a pre-employment background check that could include a credit check. 
    • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
    • Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment. 
    • Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
    • Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.

    • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. 
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. 
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. 
    • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards. 
    • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
