    Transportation

    Shuttle (CDL & Non-CDL) Drivers (Full-Time, or Part-Time Seasonal) Winter 24/25

    Alta, Wyoming

    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for transporting guests and employees from designated areas in Teton Valley, Idaho to the resort. Operate shuttle in a safe and efficient manner. Perform pre-trip inspections and tally ridership. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity. Openings for CDL & Non-CDL Drivers. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1. Arrive at work on time when scheduled.

    2. Greet guests and employees and maintain a friendly, professional attitude.

    3. Obtain and keep up-to-date a Wyoming or Idaho Class "C" Drivers' License with passenger endorsement. For CDL position only

    4. Adhere to safety rules to ensure safety of guests, employees and equipment.

    5. Conduct daily vehicle inspection prior to driving shuttle.  Report any problems immediately in writing to Vehicle Maintenance Department.

    6. Report any personal driving infraction to Supervisor as soon as possible.  Failure to do so could mean dismissal from duties.

    7. Some job sharing may be required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be 25 years old and have a valid drivers license (for CDL position, must have Class "C" CDL with passenger carrier endorsement or better).     Mountain Sports School

    Mountain Sports School Sales Staff (Full and Part-Time Seasonal) Winter 2024/2025

    Alta, Wyoming

    SUMMARY

    Assist guests in planning and purchasing Ski & Snowboard School lessons and programs in an effort to ensure an enhanced experience at Grand Targhee Resort.  A key part of every person's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1. Actively promotes and sells Ski & Snowboard School and resort services.

    2. Manages reservations, product information, and customer data in the computer system and communicates with the Director and Supervisors regarding daily sales volume and lesson bookings.

    3. Manages daily cash flow and accounting duties in accordance with cashiering policies established by the resort.

    4. Manages the general maintenance, overall cleanliness and neatness of the sales area.

    5. Assists the Director in the daily input of Ski & Snowboard School payroll.

    6. Provides feedback regarding sales patterns, the effectiveness of product offerings and guest feedback.

    7. Assists the Director with administrative duties as requested.

    Accounting

    Controller

    Alta, Wyoming

    Responsible for the accounting and financial operations of the company, to include the production of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports, maintenance of accounting records and development of policies and procedures to facilitate all accounting related functions. Insures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Oversees the flow of all financial information from the initial transaction through completed financial statements.     Finance

    Director of Finance

    Responsible for directing and overseeing all fiscal functions of the Resort in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with appropriate financial management techniques and practices. Provide strategic leadership for the Resort by working with the Grand Targhee Resort Senior Staff to establish goals, strategies, plans and policies.   A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.

    Mountain Ops

    Heavy Equipment Operator Supervisor (Snow Removal)

    Alta, Wyoming

    SUMMARY

    Supervises, coordinates and performs snow removal by directing available crew and assisting in work. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    1. Hires, motivates, evaluates, and directs staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives. Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary.
    2. Ensures all parking lots and public areas are cleared of snow by a pre-determined time every morning.
    3. Monitors weather and coordinates any necessary late day plowing operations
    4. Ensures all snow removal equipment is adequately maintained and in good working order
    5. Directs the establishment of departmental standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as budgeting and staffing to ensure proper planning, efficient operation of departments and successful achievement of resort goals.
    6. Assists the Director of Base Area Operations achieve financial and profitability goals through annual capital and budget planning process.
    7. Monitors and evaluates operational projects to ensure the successful execution of activities and to improve the effectiveness of the areas of responsibility.
    8. Maintains and enhances a guest focused culture in all areas of responsibility.
    9. Maintains schedules in compliance with regulations and authorities having jurisdiction; manages responsibilities in compliance with resort safety policies.
    10. Maintains current status on legal issues and technological advances which impact the industry; maintains awareness of scope and progress of competition.
    11. Effective communication skills with all levels of employees, guests and all other outside contacts.
    12. Ability to delegate responsibility, motivate and lead direct reports to achieve goals and objectives.
    13. Familiarity with state and federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Human Resources: 

    1. Promptly greet and assist all employees, applicants and others coming into Human Resources. 
    2. Provide timely responses to phone calls, voicemails, and emails.   
    3. Assist in onboarding new and returning employees in accordance with hiring policies.   
    4. Assist the HR team in collaborating with Supervisors to ensure completion of all paperwork related to new hires, rehires, reclassifications, and separations.

    8. Assist with employment verifications, unemployment responses, and other employment/employee related inquiries.

    Employee Housing: 

    1. Assist with administrative operations in regard to housing and oversee in the absence of the Employee Housing Manager. 
      1. Maintain accurate housing records, recording employee residence location and move in/out date information. 
      2. Ensure all leases and related documents are signed prior to move-in. 
      3. Inform unit residents/roommates of new arrivals in a timely fashion. 
      4. Assist Housing Manager with coordinating all room assignments and changes and communicating/resolving problems in accordance with established procedures. 
      5. Check employees in & out of housing. Inspect rooms during checkout and appropriately deduct for missing/broken items, failure to clean, etc. 
      6. Respond to all maintenance requests by residents, performing minor maintenance as appropriate and keeping residents informed of status (pending/fixed/etc.). 
      7. Report maintenance needs beyond personal skill level to appropriate maintenance contacts and contractors. Ensure that repairs are completed in a timely manner. 
      8. Maintain accurate inventories of furnishings, kitchen supplies and other company property in each unit, replacing items when needed. 
      9. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of employee housing facilities. When needed, clean or arrange for cleaning of employee housing. 
      10. Conduct Monthly Inspections. 
    2. Maintain positive employee relations while completing job responsibilities. 
    3. Maintain adequate inventory of supplies; Distribute, track and ensure retrieval of items that are loaned out.? 
    4. Communicate and enforce housing Emergency Procedures for all residents and handle emergency phone calls as necessary. 
    5. Assists in other departments as needed.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    WORK SCHEDULE    

    Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels. 

    Mountain Sports School

    Mountain Sports School Youth Program Supervisor

    Alta, Wyoming

    SUMMARY

    The Mountain Sports Youth Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all youth lesson programs for all disciplines including alpine, snowboard and Nordic, ensuring the success and proper execution of the Mountain Sports School products and offerings. It is the supervisor’s responsibility to provide guests with a high standard of instruction, safety, and customer service.
     
    This role involves managing instructors, coordinating lesson schedules, and maintaining a positive and engaging environment for both students and staff.
     
    While this role is specifically designed to oversee the youth programs, it is expected that Supervisors have working knowledge of all Mountain Sports School programs and can operate as a general Supervisor over other programs when needed.
     
    The Mountain Sports School Supervisors collaborate with Mountain Sports School management and Director and act as a Targhee ambassador to guests and role model to staff around the resort.

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    3. Manage Youth instructional staff. Hire, motivate, evaluate, direct, monitor and schedule staff to ensure adequate guidance & otherwise direct personnel resources to accomplish goals and objectives of our organization.
    4. Assure that staff receives training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary to execute their roles. Be actively involved in staff training.
    5. Monitor and evaluate and support department operations and activities to ensure successful execution of the areas of responsibility.

    Working with clients will be on an as approved basis by the Director. Teaching during peak holiday timeframes is strongly discouraged. Working with clients for additional work hours, wages, or gratuities should only happen on scheduled days off or when differed managerial duties don’t adversely affect other supervisors or managers and their duties. Teaching lessons to alleviate staffing shortages and requested lessons on the supervisor’s day off are acceptable examples of managerial teaching assignments.
    Facilities

    Parking/Recycling Attendant (Full & Part-time) Winter 2024/2025

    Alta, Wyoming

    SUMMARY

    Assist guests and employees with parking efficiently.  Greet guests coming to Grand Targhee Resort.  Collect, sort and store recycling and trash in specific public areas.  A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1. Maintain, help organize and keep order in all parking lots.  Assist in directing guests and employees to appropriate parking locations.
    2. Collect solid materials from recycle and trash containers in resort common areas as directed.
    3. Separate and store recycle materials as directed.
    4. Exhibit a professional, courteous and friendly attitude at all times.
    5. Assist with other duties as required.
    6. Flexible working hours.  Some job sharing required.
    Housekeeping

    Public Area Attendant Winter 2024/2025

    Alta, Wyoming

    Summary

    Clean public areas of the resort, guest check in, conference room, public bathrooms etc. Responsible to maintain a level of cleanliness in the housekeeping area and wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Clean and sanitize public areas using established practice and procedure.
    2. Wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. Launder cleaning rags etc..
    3. Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean recycling and trash containers.
    4. Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds.

    Alta, Wyoming

    SUMMARY

    Clear snow from walkways, entrances and common areas.  Occasionally perform rooftop snow removal.  Assist with parking guests and employees in assigned spaces.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Vehicle Maintenance

    Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic

    Alta, Wyoming

    Grand Targhee Resort seeks a hands-on Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. You will assist in servicing and repairing heavy equipment, snowcats, trucks, snowmobiles, small engines, and other equipment. Experience in diesel, gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems required. Our fleet of snowcat are on a three-year rotation and our NEW Facility allows you to perform your duties in a work class environment.  Pay is dependent upon on experience.

    Perform basic repairs and maintenance of equipment, including snow cats, snow machines, ATV’s, vehicles, heavy equipment and small engines.

    •  Perform basic maintenance and repair of equipment by following instructions of shop supervisor.
    •  Assist with major repairs of equipment.
    •  Perform routine services of equipment (oil changes, grease machines etc.
    •  Maintain service records for machines services and repairs.
    •  Maintain a safe and clean work area by following company safety policies and procedures.
    •  Contributes to team effort and shop morale by demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude and performing duties as assigned.
    •  Maintain shop tools and equipment through proper organization.
    •  Improve technical knowledge by attending seminars and training courses.
