  • Activities Attendant

  • Bell/Door Attendant

    Rooms

    Resort Bell/Door Attendants transport guest luggage to/from guest rooms, escort guests to rooms and inform guests of hotel services and features. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. Thorough knowledge of all Resort services and amenities.

    • Familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
    • Transport guest luggage to their assigned room and at time of departure from the hotel.
    • Assist in locating guest's lost luggage.
    • Correctly tag, store and retrieve luggage from holding room.
    • Identify and explain hotel facilities and features to guests while escorting them to their room.
    • Identify fire exit closest to guest's room and explain safety features of assigned room.
    • Demonstrate use of room key to guests.
    • Identify and explain guest room features
    • Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hotel to direct guests to correct locations.
    • Relay accurate directions to guests on inquiries of transportation within the local area.

  • Concierge/Reservations

    Lodging
    Gateway Canyon Resort

    Our Resort Concierge/Reservations assists guests with inquiries, provides travel information, Resort information, arranges accommodations and scheduling activities. 

    • Assist guests with inquiries, offer suggestions and provides descriptive literature pertaining to trips, excursions, Resort events and hours of operations for Resort outlets

    • Assist in arranging restaurant reservations, transportation and limousines as required by guests

    • Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax, telex, mail, internally and through corporate reservations center or travel agencies.

    • Accommodate special requests and designate such in system.

    • Access guest history records to best service guests; maintain accurate information in guest history files.

    • Promote/sell holiday and other packages to callers requesting reservations on designated dates.

    • Assist callers with dining room reservations and amenity orders.

    • Explain guarantee and cancellation policies to callers; assign confirmation/cancellation numbers and relay such to caller.

    • Relay accurate information on transportation arrangements from airport to hotel; input and document such requests.

    • Set up proper billing accounts (i.e., sharewiths, room/tax/incidentals, tax exempt, direct/special billing) and process advance deposits.

    • Document all information for manual reservations on designated form.

    • Input all manual reservations into the system.

    • Obtain approval from Front Desk management for same day reservations on near sell-out dates.

    • Process confirmation letters.

    • Designate and apply appropriate travel agency commissions.

    • Create individual files and group masters with designated information for each group booking received from the Sales Department. Update changes received from Sales.

    • Set up group room blocks in the system. Book group reservations against the room block.

    • Monitor group cut-off dates and review with Sales.

    • Review group resumes and convey all pertinent information in the system to appropriate personnel.

    • Monitor and maintain wait lists daily.

    • Document pertinent information in log book

    • Assist in other Front Desk areas as assigned

    Our Resort Line Cooks prepare, plan, prep, organize the line setup and provide quality service in all areas of food production. Assists in developing a progressive, exciting, specialty restaurant food program, incorporating healthy farm-to-table, produce, ingredients, and products. The Line Cook exhibits organization, time management, cleanliness and awareness in regards to food production, food and plate presentation, kitchen line operations, food safety and HACCP guidelines. Understands basic industry food, wine, service trends, and is active in continued culinary development and education. Possess artistic talent.

  • Fleet Mechanic

    Property Operations

    Repair and maintain Resort vehicles, Adventure Center vehicles, golf carts and equipment. Oversee auto maintenance shop activities, purchases and procedures. Create and maintain vehicle maintenance records for all areas of service with maintenance procedures, requirements and policies.

    • Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the fleet maintenance program
    • Oversee the auto maintenance shop area; prioritize vehicles repair and maintenance work
    • Working knowledge of all vehicles; spot check vehicles for performance in the field, test drive vehicles to assure proper maintenance and other anomalies
    • Perform general maintenance to vehicles and equipment
    • Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor in regards to business needs

  • Front Desk Agent

    Our Front Desk Associates check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently.  Provide information and assistance to all guests and visitors.

    • Check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements.  Provide information and assistance to all guests and visitors.
    • Communicate services and amenities of the Resort to guests.
    • Communicate VIP arrivals to designated personnel for escort and delivery of amenities
    • Document and confirm reservations and cancellations.
    • Block rooms in the system and follow through on designated requirements.
    • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e. special requests, amenity delivery)

  • Front Office Manager

    Our Front Office Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Front Desk in accordance with hotel standards. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff. Directs and work with managers and associates to successfully execute all Front Office operations. Strives to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

    · Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

    • Review assignment sheet and update completed assignments; check with supervisor and housekeeping office for additional assignments throughout shift
    • Review assigned area and complete general removal of any trash or debris
    • Stock cleaning carts with designated supplies and equipment

  • Laundry Attendant

    Rooms/Housekeeping
    Gateway Canyon Resort

    Process all soiled linens, terry, and food & beverage linens by operating all laundry machinery in accordance to hotel's standards.

    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

    •  Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

    • Adhere to all Health Department, sanitation and safety regulations.

    • Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies and equipment; replenish as needed throughout the shift.

    • Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize consumption.

    • Separate soiled bed linen/terry/food and beverage table linens; bundle and document amounts of each bundle.

    • Sort all stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain continuous inventory of discard items.

    • Remove all debris on floors after each sorting.

    • Operate all laundry machines and add designated chemicals in accordance with specified amounts, times and temperatures for the particular articles to be washed.

    • Remove washed articles from the washing machine when the cycle is complete. Inspect cleanliness and place in clean linen carts.

    • Transport cart of washed linen to dryers and place in dryers according to load size. Set dryers to designated times and temperatures for the particular articles to be dried.

    • Remove articles from dryer when cycle is complete and place in clean linen cart. Transport cart to proper work area for finishing.

    • Operate the ironing and folder machines. Check the cleanliness and condition of articles while processing through the machines; separate damaged/stained articles.

    • Fold cleaned articles and stack into designated amounts by type and size. Place stacks in specified areas for distribution.

    • Issue clean table linens and service towels/rags to Food and Beverage personnel.

    • Maintain accurate poundage records of dry cleaning and laundry.

    • Report faulty equipment, damaged garments/linens, shortages, maintenance needs, safety hazards and problems to supervisor.

    • Remove lint and debris from dryer filters and change filters.

    • Transport trash containers to dumpster; empty and clean accordingly. Adhere to recycling procedures.

    • Breakdown and clean work areas/equipment.

    • Use designated chemicals, supplies and equipment to clean laundry room floor.

    • Restock work areas for next shift as assigned.

Complete maintenance request work orders from all departments; preventive maintenance program for all building equipment & rooms.  Complete other special projects assigned periodically by Department Manager.

  • Night Audit

    Rooms
    Gateway Canyon Resort

    Responsible for the auditing of all charges and postings, correcting work as required. The Night Auditor reconciles daily activity and closes all accounts in preparation for the new day. All information will be processed and formatted into daily reports and distributed as the Morning Reports. Check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently: process all payments according to hotel requirements. Provide information and assistance to guests and visitors.

    • Pick up, count and maintain bank. Secure bank at all times.
    • Read the logbook daily, and record all pertinent information in the log book.
    • Process currency exchange and payments to guest accounts.
    • Process adjustments, rebates, paid outs and credits as required.
    • Operate P.M.S. (Property Management System) and maintain security of system.
    • Verifies and makes corrections to the Room Rate Report.
    • Post and audit Banquet charges.
    • Reconcile telephone calls and miscellaneous accounts.
    • Verifies that all checks are closed, and closes and logs any open check in the P.O.S. (Point of Sale) system.
    • Prints Food & Beverage end of day reports.
    • Audit Food & Beverage cashier’s work and correct discrepancies.
    • Audit Rooms Cashier’s work and correct discrepancies.
    • Audit all miscellaneous charges. (Banquets, Bars etc.)
    • Verifies package postings on house accounts.
    • Checks high balances, gets credit card approval or other payment information.
    • Verifies charge routing on all group/master accounts, correct any errors and post accordingly.
    • Sends out Daily STASH report.
    • Input all sales figures into the P.M.S. and balance all accounts (Property Management System).
    • Run Room & Tax verifying that all room rates posted.
    • Verify Cashier’s Report to drop log and paperwork.
    • Record room statistics.
    • Close P.O.S. after all work is balanced.
    • Run end of day program and close day.
    • Check that interfaces are up and running.
    • Run morning reports and backup reports and distribute accordingly.
    • Print express check out folios and distribute.
    • Sign out and brief relief.
    • Review Night Audit checklist and verify that all work has been completed.
    • Restock all printers.
    • Fill out and deposit payment and corresponding checks.
    • Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with on-coming Supervisor.

  • Room Attendant

    Room Attendants clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness.  Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints.  Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

    Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

    • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
    • Clean guest rooms by category priority.
    • Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens to assigned guest room and position securely.
    • Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to the supervisor.
    • Clean all lamps and light switches; check for proper working order.
    • Remove dust on drapes weekly and realign to correct position daily.
    • Inspect condition of amenities in desk, drawers and guest service directory; replace designated amounts at proper locations within the room.
    • Inspect condition of planters and plants; remove debris.
    • Ensure presence of fire safety, rate cards and DND sign. Inspect condition and replace as needed.
    • Remove dust, dirt and smudges from A/C unit, vents, grids and thermostat. Set thermostat to 65 degrees rented, 55 degrees vacant.
    • Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.
    • Return and restock cart at end of shift.
    • Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.
    • Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.
    • Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor.

    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of table and seat numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up
    • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes

    • Perform opening and/or closing procedures, schedule guest appointments
    • Greet guests, verify medical releases from guests with applicable medical conditions

    Our Trail Guides/Wranglers are accomplished riders, loves speaking with people from a variety of backgrounds. Ready and willing to pitch in with all ranch maintenance necessary to keep the Palisade Ranch at Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa running smoothly. Palisade Ranch is a 500 acre recreational ranch, manage 30-35 head of horses and 40 acres of flood irrigated hay meadows.

    • Excellent horsemanship skills.

    • Able to catch, saddle and bridle horses without supervision.

    • Assist in general care of livestock: basic veterinary skills, feed and water stock, stall cleanup.

    • Maintain positive guest relations at all times

    • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

    • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

    • General and basic upkeep/repair of facilities.

    • Experience towing large stock or horse trailers

    • Experience with livestock in both an arena and pasture setting.

    • Ability to teach others stockman-ship and horsemanship skills.

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds (saddles, grain bags, fence panels etc.).

    • Knowledge of activities and amenities of Gateway Canyons.

    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

    • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

    • Valid driver’s license.

Understands the importance of organization, time management, cleanliness and punctuality in regards to paperwork, meetings, deadlines and returning phone calls. Adheres to Gateway Canyons’ Food & Beverage Guidelines. Responsible to educate, train and give direction to staff. Will work in united direction with Senior Management and General Managing in regards to operations, standards and character of restaurants/kitchens. 

    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

    • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations

    • Other duties as reasonably requested.
