  • Clean Team Attendant

    Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park
    $16.50 / hour

    Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for seasonal Clean Team Attendants to join our team at Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park, California. The Bell Attendant is responsible for many important aspects of guest services, including bell, door, valet, and guest transport for hotel operations.

    Responsibilities 

    • Greet and assist guests with luggage at check-in, check-out, and storage and escort them to their room.
    • Assist guests with city information and directions.
    • Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, vehicles, or transportation terminals, by hand or using baggage carts.
    • Explain the operation of room features, such as locks, ventilation systems, and televisions.
    • Pick up and return items for laundry and valet service.
    • Park and retrieve guest's vehicles.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications 

    • Prior hotel experience is desired but not essential.
    • Must have excellent verbal communication skills demonstrating proper manners and etiquette.
    • Requires excellent people skills.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.

    Physical Requirements 

    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Must have the physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.

  • Courier

    Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park
    $17.00 / hour

    Delaware North Travel and Hospitality is searching for a full-time Van Driver to join our team at Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park, California. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving non-CDL vehicles to safely transport guests to various destinations on and off our property.

    • Ensure that proper maintenance is performed on the van and reports any mechanical or safety problems to management.
    • Follow regularly assigned routes and schedules.
    • Maintains accurate record keeping of passengers census.
    • Report any incidents or accidents to management immediately.
    • Maintain a safe atmosphere on the vehicle at all times.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications 

    • Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
    • Valid driver license with clean driving record.
    • Must be able to safely operate and drive a van.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication.
    • Ability to main a safe atmosphere on the vehicle at all times.

    Physical Requirements 

    • Vision must be sufficient that the driver is not restricted in the performance of duties day or night.
    • Must be able to sit for long periods.
    • Must be able to stand and bend.
    • Must be able to hear traffic and security radio.
    • Must be able to speak clearly and communicate well.

    Qualifications 

    • Previous customer service experience preferred.
    • Good interpersonal communication skills in person and by phone.
    • Must be able to multitask, function in a professional manner under pressure from guests and supervisors.

    • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to walk, bend, twist, crouch, push, pull and climb stairs throughout shift.

  • Maintenance Worker

    Responsibilities 

    • Painting, hanging drywall, and repairing drywall as needed.
    • Changing light bulbs, replacing fixtures, and performing similar minor electrical tasks.
    • Plumbing work including opening clogged drains, repairing leaks, and performing other simple plumbing jobs.
    • Simple carpentry tasks, such as installing shelves, hooks, or closet rods
    • Lawn maintenance including mowing, removing weeds and brush, etc.
    • Ensuring tools and equipment are in working order and keeping maintenance room in neat condition.
    • Assists with loading or unloading trucks of maintenance parts and supplies.

    Qualifications 

    • Minimum of 3-5 years' previous experience in general maintenance/repair required.
    • Previous experience with fire and boiler heat systems a plus.
    • Must have a clean driving record. This position requires driving a company vehicle.

    Physical Requirements 

    • Requires bending, stooping, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
    • Standing and walking 100% of the time.
    • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.

  • Restaurant Cashier

As a Restaurant Cashier, you will facilitate all transactions using acceptable methods of payment of the restaurant, collaborate with dining staff, and keep track of all orders while providing excellent guest service at all times.

    • Collaborate with dining room, service, and kitchen staff to keep track of all orders and monetary situations, and charges. 
    • Validate methods of payment, complete transactions, provide documentation and receipts, and dispense the accurate amount of change if needed.  
    • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and adequate change is available.  
    • Scan items and ensure pricing is correct or resolve amount discrepancies; take money in the form of cash, credit card, check, or gift card and process accordingly. 
    • Clean up checkout area and keep organized; keep receipt paper and other stationery stocked. 
    • Maintain accurate tabs on every restaurant tables’ orders using the venue’s primary POS system. 
    • Answer customers' questions and find a manager if the answer doesn't solve the issue.

    Qualifications 

    • Previous cash handling experience.
    • Excellent guest service skills.
    • Basic math skills; ability to accurately count change and balance bank.

    • Reviews floor plan and reservation book daily; creates seating chart.
    • Sets up the Host station according to checklist.
    • Greets guests and seats them at tables or in waiting areas.
    • Seats guests according to seating chart, server rotation and guest preference and provides guests with menus.
    • Maintains control of the seating and wait times.
    • Cleans and maintains Host station; contributes to the cleanliness of the dining and bar areas.
    • Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
    • Answers any guest questions regarding service, and provides general assistance for guests and employees.
    • Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, responds to complaints and notifies management, and thanks guests as they are leaving.
    • Answers restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation.

    Qualifications 

    • Prior experience in guest service environment preferred.
    • Attentive and detailed oriented.
    • Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Capable of performing specified procedures and following instructions.
    • Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.

    • Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift
    • Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.

    • Train and supervise the front desk associates to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
    • Provide associates with guidance on handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
    • Implement corporate or departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
    • Evaluate associate job performance and recommend appropriate rewards or corrective actions, as needed.
    • Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for office or administrative associates.
    • Coordinate with housekeeping department, as needed.
    • Operate company vehicles to travel between the propterty.

    Qualifications 

    • At least 2 years' experience in hospitality, front desk experience is preferred.
    • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
    • Computer literate in MS Office programs; some experience with property management systems preferred.
    • Must be fluent in English language both spoken and written.
    • Good interpersonal communication skills in person and by phone.
    • Must be able to multitask, function in a professional manner under pressure from guests and supervisors.
    • A valid driver's lisense is required.

    Responsibilities 

    • Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms; empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area; replenish supplies
    • Conduct walk-around of assigned areas to ensure the facility meets housekeeping standards; ensure all linen rooms and work areas are neat, clean, and organized
    • Interact with and assist guests on occasion while cleaning guest and meeting rooms
    • Report maintenance repair problems to supervisor
    • Ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily

    Qualifications 

    • Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures
    • Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow instructions
    • Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations

    Physical Requirements 

    • Frequent standing, walking, climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying; use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Visual acuity is sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces

    Responsibilities 

    • Create and deliver associate training programs.
    • Maintain training records and provide reports on activities as needed.
    • Book classrooms and ensure they are properly set up.
    • Support the property in the hiring process by opening requisitions, attending job fairs, participating in local workforce programs, interviewing candidates, making recommendations for hiring.
    • Help associates with their onboarding and new hire paperwork and badging.
    • Issue associate uniforms.
    • Escalate HR issues to the proper person and team.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Operate company vehicles as needed for transportation around the property.

    Qualifications 

    • Valid driver's license to transport associates, when required.
    • Must be able to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) card within 10 days of hire date.
    • Ability to problem-solve and operate in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience as a training administrator or similar role.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle's PeopleSoft is a plus.

    Physical Requirements 

    • Ability to consistently stand, bend, stoop, and kneel.
    • Ability to lift 35lbs.

    Responsibilities 

    • Greet guests, provides menus, clearly communicates restaurant specials, answers questions about menu items, collects food and beverage orders, serves items ordered, and attends to guests' needs throughout their visit.
    • Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system so that kitchen staff can prepare food and bar staff can prepare drinks, as needed.
    • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
    • Prepare and deliver the check to guests at the table,  accept and process the payment.
    • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.
    • Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned.
    • Ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.

    Qualifications 

    • Experience in cash handling and credit card processing is required.
    • At least one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment is preferred.
    • Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment preferred.

    Physical Requirements 

    • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.  
    • Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
    • Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 pounds.
    • Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service, and clean-up.
    • Ability to stand or walk for the entire length of shift; may include walking up and down stairs.
