At Sequoia National Park, Delaware North Parks and Resorts operates the year-round Wuksachi Village & Lodge. Summer operations include the: Lodgepole Center, Wolverton Meadow, and Bearpaw High Sierra Camp.
At Kings Canyon National Park, Delaware North Parks and Resorts operates the year-round Grant Grove Village. In the summer months, job opportunities are available at Cedar Grove.

Low-cost team member housing is available at both Sequoia and Kings Canyon for $65 / week.
The accommodation is double occupancy, rustic cabins with beds, dressers, tables, and shared bathrooms. There is a communal laundry facility available at both properties. Food, cooking, or grilling is not allowed in the cabins, but there is a communal kitchen available to use. Laundry is free and onsite.
Pets are not permitted in housing at Sequoia or Kings Canyon.

We provide Delaware North team members transportation from Fresno or Visalia Airports CA, Fresno train station, or Visalia bus station to Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Park. Team members are responsible for arranging their travel to California. There’s no public transport available in the parks, so team members who bring their own vehicle will experience greater mobility during their season with us.

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a General Manager to lead our team at the Wuksachi Lodge and Lodgepole Market in Sequoia National Park, California. As General Manager you will oversee all lodging, food and beverage, and retail operations and share our passion for delivering the highest quality of service to our guests – taking great pride in your work and the impact you have on a moment or occasion. You’re an inspiring leader who understands that training and developing your team is critical to the operation and you manage people, processes, budgets, and expenses successfully and effectively.

PayMinimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $119,500 – $161,300 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Maintain positive client relations while providing efficient services and quality products.
Develop and manage all vendor relationships.
Hire, train, and develop management team and ensure all team members are supported and managed effectively.
Determine and control staffing levels while maintaining guest service levels.
Make operational recommendations and establish prices for products and services within approved budget.
Establish and maintain proper safety and sanitation procedures and oversee repair and maintenance of food service equipment.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations regarding sale of alcohol, OSHA, payroll, and employment guidelines.
Verify, prepare, and submit reports and monthly projections and ensure effective systems for cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place.
Driving a company vehicle as needed.
Minimum of 7-10 years of management experience in hotel operations required. Multiple operations experience including lodging, food and beverage and retail preferred.
Experience working in National Parks is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business management or hospitality is preferred.
Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.
Operational financial management accountability and budgeting experience.
Valid driver’s license is required.

Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts
Scan items and ensure pricing is correct, resolving discrepancies and processing payments
Clean up checkout area and keep organized; keep receipt paper and other stationery stocked
Maintain accurate tabs on restaurant tables’ orders using the venue’s primary point of sale system
Must be at least 18 years old
Previous cash handling experience

Basic math skills; ability to accurately count change and balance bank

Answer the restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation
Must be at least 18 years old
Prior experience in a guest service environment preferred
Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
No high school diploma or GED required
Ability to remain on feet for the entire length of the shift
Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Operate company vehicles for transportation across the property as needed

A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in general maintenance or repair for a commercial facility is required
Must have a valid driver’s license

Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint
Ability to use ladders and perform various types of manual labor
Ability to lift up to 85 pounds occasionally
