    Guest Services Agent

    $17.00 - $20.00 / hour
    Devil's Thumb Ranch

    The Guest Services Agent at Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, handling inquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently. They serve as the frontline representative, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests by coordinating services and upholding resort policies.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded throughout their stay.
    • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of all resort amenities, services, and activities to effectively assist guests with inquiries and reservations.
    • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate guest services and ensure seamless experiences for guests.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest service areas, including lobby, front desk, and retail spaces.
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as processing payments, handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Act as a liaison between guests and other resort departments to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
    • Uphold and enforce resort policies and procedures to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all guests.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in guest services to continuously improve the guest experience.
    • Participate in training programs and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork in all interactions with guests and colleagues.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of hospitality experience required.
    • Previous supervisor experience and front desk experience preferred.
    • Comfortable communicating accurately in English.
    • Basic computer and email knowledge required.
    • Ability to proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar, and content accuracy.
    • Willingness to learn lodging reservation systems.
    • Outgoing and friendly personality, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
    • Enjoyment of working with the public and ability to communicate effectively with guests.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
    • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
    • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the department, resort, and affiliated properties.

    Spa

    Massage Therapist

    Devil's Thumb Ranch

    The Massage Therapist is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of Devil’s Thumb Ranch. The massage therapist will provide all services (excluding facials and waxing) offered at the Ranch Creek Spa. This includes: massage therapy, couple’s treatments, soaks, scrubs, body wraps, hand, foot and scalp treatments. Additionally, the massage therapist is expected to promote retail products related to services provided.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

    • Maintain a professional standard for all services provided
    • Be an active member of the spa team and communicate clearly
    • Available on call at pre-designated shift times
    • Ability to perform all treatments following the protocol guidelines
    • Adhere to spa policies and guidelines
    • Adhere to safety practices 
    • Be able to provide a minimum of 4 services during a shift
    • Begin and end all treatments on time
    • Assess guest needs:
    •  inquire about contraindications, examine muscle tissue to evaluate condition, appearance, and appropriateness of scheduled service. 
    • Treatment rooms must be left neat, clean and sanitized after each service provided
    • Restock supplies in treatment room and dispensary
    • Complete all side work in a timely manner
    • Restock laundry and tidy linens as directed by lead, supervisor or manager
    • Extensive knowledge of products used in all treatments
    • Promote sales of retail products related to services provided
    • Maintain a professional image at all times
    • Adhere to spa uniform guidelines
    • Participate in monthly spa meetings, spa training and team building exercises
    • Be knowledgeable of Ranch wide operation 
    • Promote entire ranch to clients
    • Available weekends and holidays

    Qualifications:

    • Must have completed massage training at an accredited program.
    • Maintain personal massage liability insurance.
    • Maintain State Licensure.
    • Must be able to use all equipment and tools necessary to provide services.
    • Trustworthiness in handling confidential information and working with minimal supervision.
    • Outgoing and friendly personality, enjoying interactions with the public.
    • Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours. 
    • Lifting up to 25lbs is required.
    Housekeeping

    Housekeeper

    $18.00 / hour
    Devil's Thumb Ranch

    As a Housekeeper at Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest accommodations and public spaces. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience at our historic gem nestled amidst the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, cabins, and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
    • Ensure all assigned areas are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and inviting condition.
    • Change bed linens, replenish towels and amenities, and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
    • Collaborate with fellow housekeeping team members to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient completion of daily assignments, including timely input of repair needs into HotSOS.
    • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or deficiencies to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
    • Uphold safety and sanitation standards to create a comfortable and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
    • Adhere to established guidelines for handling lost and found items with care and professionalism.
    • Embrace opportunities for cross-training and skill development to enhance job proficiency and versatility.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred.
    • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and practices in a commercial environment is advantageous.
    • Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to housekeeping tasks.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Groundskeeper

    The Groundskeeper is an integral to maintaining the pristine appearance and safety of our outdoor spaces. From landscaping and trash removal to snow removal and agricultural support, your diverse responsibilities will contribute to the seamless operation of the Ranch.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform general maintenance tasks essential to ranch operations, including landscaping, trash removal, recycling, lawn care, and irrigation.
    • Assist with agricultural activities such as fencing, cattle handling, haying operations, and stable activities.
    • Support all ranch operations to enhance guest services and safety.
    • Provide exceptional guest experiences and serve as an ambassador for the ranch during interactions.
    • Participate in daily housekeeping of the Maintenance Barn and Yard.
    • Cross-train in various ranch operations to support team flexibility.
    • Aid in ongoing animal care and employee training efforts.
    • Contribute personal experiences to program development initiatives.
    • Report and assist in the repair of unsafe conditions across the ranch.
    • Lead construction and maintenance of fences.
    • Perform heavy lifting, up to 100 lbs, as needed.
    • Operate power mowers, trimmers, and other equipment for lawn care.
    • Trim edges, weeds, and prune flowers, shrubs, and trees to maintain aesthetics.
    • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides as directed.
    • Assist in snow removal operations using shovels, blowers, plows, and loaders.
    • Rake and bag leaves and debris as required.
    • Water lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds as needed.
    • Safely operate trucks, trailers, and manual transmission vehicles.
    • Assist with rototilling and preparation of flower beds.
    • Educate co-workers on plant identification and health.
    • Maintain greenhouses as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field preferred.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks.
    • Proficiency in operating groundskeeping equipment.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
    • Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.

    Banquet Server

    $18.00 / hour

    The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering high-quality service to guests at various banquet events, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from setup to teardown. You will support the Banquet Captain in providing excellent food and beverage service while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with guests, we would love to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to contribute to a memorable experience for our guests and help us maintain the high standards of service expected at Devil’s Thumb Ranch.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Set up banquet room according to the banquet captain’s instructions, including linens, table settings, and buffet items.
    • Attend pre-event line-up meetings to learn event specifics, including guest expectations and service requirements.
    • Greet guests with a friendly and courteous attitude, responding to their needs throughout the event.
    • Serve food and beverages promptly and according to the banquet captain's instructions, maintaining consistency throughout the event.
    • Follow state, federal, and corporate guidelines regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
    • Replenish wine, water, and coffee stations as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • After the event, reset the banquet room to the banquet captain’s specifications for the next event.
    • Comply with all Devil’s Thumb Ranch’s banquet standards and attendance policies.
    • Maintain knowledge of all banquet event spaces on property.
      Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


    Qualifications: 

    • Previous experience in a restaurant or banquet role preferred.
    • Proven reliability and dependability in past positions.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
    • Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to collaborate.
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.

    Culinary

    Line Cook

    The Line Cook is responsible for efficiently preparing high-quality dishes, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at your assigned station within the culinary operations. Your role is essential to ensuring the smooth flow of kitchen activities and upholding the standards of food quality and presentation.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Thorough understanding of the menu, adherence to approved recipes, and ensuring proper plate presentation.
    • Maintaining mise en place (preparation and organization) of assigned stations, including setup and thorough cleaning at the end of each shift.
    • Knowledge and adherence to proper food storage, handling, and health codes.
    • Accurate dating and labeling of food items.
    • Establishing and maintaining inventory levels and prep lists.
    • Proficiency in multitasking and effective planning to meet kitchen demands.
    • Supporting and contributing to the resort's mission and overall success through food preparation excellence.
    • Completing opening and closing side work as required.
    • Executing the Ranch Mission and adhering to safety precautions and procedures.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a strong work ethic are paramount.
    • Available to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Able to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet kitchen demands.
    • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
    • Capable of working collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow.
    • Committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
    • Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities as required.
    • Ability to lift 20-30 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
