The Employee Experience
Denali is one of the most dynamic and seasonal operations there is. From having just a handful of people in the area to thousands of employees and guests, almost overnight. As an employee at the Denali Park Village, you would have the amazing experience of seeing the ghost town truly come alive. With that in mind, it is a big job opening a hotel and takes hard-working, flexible, dynamic staff to open every year.
Successful employees at the Denali Park Village are quick learners who love the challenge and excitement of a seasonal operation and are open to helping out the team wherever it's needed. After the hotel is open you'll start to get into the swing of daily routines and spend your free time getting to know the area. Experience the unique opportunity to view Alaska's midnight sun and northern lights. Enjoy nature sightings including moose, caribou, bears and other wildlife. Take advantage of local discounts and activities such as rafting, hiking, fishing, ATV tours, flightseeing tours and more!
Then as September draws near you will see the area begin to slow down, the leaves will start to change and the staff will begin to look for their next destination.
Denali may be just one summer of fun, or it could take you down a path of adventure and travel for years to come. Either way, for an adventure-seeker, it will be an experience of a lifetime!
The ideal candidate to work at the Denali Park Village is someone who can learn quickly in a dynamic environment. They need little supervision and want to be a part of a memorable guest experience.
Ideal candidates are comfortable with being a bit uncomfortable. The people you work with, you also see day-in and day-out due to the close living arrangements. This means you will likely share a room with someone. It also means needing to be able to work well with others and put differences aside. When you leave your work site, you will likely see your coworkers in the dining room, at the laundry facilities, and on your weekends.
Seasonal life isn't for everyone, but for the right person it can be the best experience you'll ever have.
