We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee human resources management in our seasonal environment, where both union and non-union employees reside in on-site housing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in oversight of HR policies and procedures, managing employee & labor relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and union contracts while also overseeing the housing aspect of our workforce.

Preferred employment dates are April 15th to September 25th.

About Denali National Park:​

Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture is the Denali National Park Concessionaire. Open May to September, our guests come to take in the majesty of Mount Denali, the highest point in North America. Our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; the park service. The park welcomes over half a million visitors per year. By road, the area is 5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks. Buses traverse the 90-mile road daily throughout the warm summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp.

HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company objectives and seasonal staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with senior management to forecast workforce requirements and plan for seasonal hiring initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures including on-site housing arrangements comply with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee a department of two HR/Payroll Coordinators and one Housing and Activities Coordinator, and seasonal work force of approximately 250.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a liaison between management, union representatives, and employees to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
  • Oversee the allocation and management of on-site housing, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and resolving housing-related issues.
  • Implement effective communication strategies to keep employees informed about HR policies, housing guidelines, and related matters.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Lead recruitment efforts for seasonal positions, working closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent.
  • Manage the assignment of on-site housing, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure accommodations meet employee needs and comply with safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with labor unions, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and resolving housing-related disputes as needed.

Training and Development:

  • Deliver, facilitate and enhance training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, including safety, housing, environmental and job specific topics.
  • Identify opportunities for career development and advancement, supporting employee growth and retention within the seasonal environment.

HR Administration:

  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and other HR processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain HR records and housing-related documentation, keeping employee data confidential and secure.
  • Prepare reports and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives related to both workforce management and housing.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations or labor relations, talent management, and housing management in a seasonal or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and union contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
