FOOD & HOUSING: Staff are provided a dry cabin styled Yukon tent shared with (1) other roommate. Free food and Chef prepared dinners are served daily. 

JOB OBJECTIVE: To assist in driving shuttles on a daily basis from Cooper Landing to a variety of locations in Southcentral Alaska in support of Alaska Wildland Adventures operations. Destinations include but are not limited to: boat launch sites along the Kenai River and Skilak Lake; Seward; Soldotna; and Anchorage. Shuttle drivers also play a crucial role in helping to accomplish the day to day tasks and maintenance required at basecamp.


  • High-quality guest service standards. 

  • Safely operating commercial motor vehicles.

  • Complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as they apply to a professional driver and DOT paperwork as necessary.

  • Responsible for the care, maintenance, cleanliness and preparation of vehicles.

  • Responsible for reporting to Basecamp Manager for groundskeeping tasks before, after, or between shuttles

  • Guest service, including luggage handling, the general orientation of guests, airport pick-ups, shuttles, etc. 

  • Basecamp support. River (rafting or fishing) shuttles, hike shuttles, shopping and errands, landscaping, camp projects, garbage and recycling cleanup, and general labor. 

  • Participate in company practices and policies to conserve natural resources, reduce landfill-bound waste, reduce or eliminate the use of environmentally harmful substances and products and work to help improve AWA’s environmental impact.
