    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

    Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at the Denali Backcountry Adventures. As a Park Road Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting guests and providing a high quality of service at all times. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities such as:

    • Provide accurate interpreted natural and cultural history narratives of the Denali National Park experience
    • Implement operational processes which support and control the transportation system, such as vehicle maintenance, dispatching and regulatory administration
    • Transport guests to and from Denali Backcountry Lodge, Denali Cabins, Denali Train Depot and other properties as assigned
    • Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants and accessories
    • Maintain a shift / trip driving documentation log

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in guiding or interpretive presentations viewed advantageously
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Ability to move and lift supplies, equipment and tools weighing 50 pounds or  more
    • Must possess a Class “B” CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements
    • Two years of prior commercial driving experience with a clean driving record
    • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
    • Current CPR and First Aid certifications

    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of breads, rolls, pastries and other baked goods. You will work independently for extended periods throughout the day, but will also require you to be flexible and to work as a part of the kitchen staff in order to meet production deadlines and food quality guidelines.  You will have a range of duties and responsibilities such as:

    • Baking large quantities of goods
    • Maintaining standards of safety and sanitation
    • Supervise employees and/or other helpers in the preparation of baked goods

As a Line Cook, you will prepare food to the exact Chef’s specifications and set up stations for menu. The Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the Executive and Sous Chefs with their daily tasks. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities such as:

    • Regularly prepare and cook large quantities of food
    • Set up and maintain food stations
    • Prepare food for dining room service and for the following shift as needed
    • Keep work areas clean and sanitized at all times

As a Server, you will greet and serve guests promptly, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-house duties and collecting the bill. Working as a team player is essential to communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are accurate and delivered promptly. Your main responsibility will be to provide excellent overall dining experience for our guests. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities such as:

    • Set up wait stations and kitchen service areas for the shift
    • Understand and verbally present the specials of the day
    • Conduct proper alcohol serving procedures according to liquor laws
    • Communicate guest dietary restrictions or allergies to kitchen staff
    • Deliver checks and collect bill payment
    • Meet with kitchen staff to review daily specials, changes to the menu and service specifications for reservations or large parties

    • Communication and interpersonal skills

To focus on the health and safety of our team and guests, we have temporarily paused some of our operations. Our teams on the ground are still preparing for the summer season – we just can’t say exactly when that will start! We are still accepting applications and will reach out as soon as we know when our locations will be ready to open in summer 2020.
