Your Dream Work Experience Awaits You in the San Juan Mountains!
We ask that staff be available to start working around the middle of May. During this time we have our staff orientation and department training so we are ready for our first week of guests in June. We have many positions which will work for those individuals returning to school in August, and other positions better suited to those who are able to work into October. Potential employees are encouraged to apply even if our season has already begun since we lose a few of our staff members that must return to college for the fall. Each position on the ranch carries its own responsibilities and all are important to the identity of the 4UR and what we offer as a team. Year after year, the number one compliment we hear always refers back to our staff and the excellent job they do. We always see a tremendous level of community and cohesion form between staff members throughout the ranch. It's a large family and we would love for you to be a part of it.
Employees can expect roughly 45-48 hours of work weekly with plenty of time to enjoy the ranch and the surrounding area during off time. During off time, employees are encouraged to take advantage of all the ranch activities they can! There's plenty of opportunities to hop on a horseback ride, go fishing, take a hike, try some trap or skeet shooting and so much more. Furthermore, every work day can be capped off with a soak in the all natural hot springs or geothermal heated pool. Outside the ranch, there are several music festivals during the summer and fall, the Great Sand Dunes national park, Colorado's oldest professional rodeo at Monte Vista and dozens of historic towns and beautiful hikes. This is one of the most positive work experiences out there; it is sure to lead to dozens of great memories and lifelong friendships.
