Cashier
We are hiring friendly cashiers to work at Bodega, our convenience store located right above Poor People's Pub! Bodega is Block Island's one stop shop for all your daily needs.
coffee • egg sammys • snacks • lottery • cigarettes • grab n go • groceries • and more!
Our cashiers must be good at assisting customers with purchases, operating a cash register, stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness/organization OF the store. Ability to check ID's for lotto & tobacco sales is a requirement!
Dishwasher
Looking for a reliable team player to work the dish station this season!
Duties include:
Loading and unload dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans into and out of the dishwasher.
Scrubbing dishes by hand as needed.
Sorting and stack clean dishes and utensils.
Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning procedures are followed.
Keeping the dishwashing area clean and organized.
Assisting with food preparation tasks as needed.
Musts:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environments.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Line Cook
High volume cooking experience is necessary in our busy kitchen. A passion for cooking and a desire to grow and learn are essential. Must maintain a positive demeanor under pressure, be able to take direction and work with well others. We will train you to learn our systems and help enhance skills you may already have.
Pay is negotiable based on experience, skill and performance. Pay is weekly, through direct deposit. Must be available to begin ASAP and commit thought the end of October.
