Offering vast and varied terrain that both challenges the experts and accommodates the beginners, Sugar Bowl boasts 1,500 acres and 1,500 vertical (with an open boundary policy for access to the backcountry), 4 peaks, three progressive terrain parks, and the most annual snowfall in North Lake Tahoe at 500” annual average (over 800” in 10/11 alone!). As the closest major Tahoe resort to Sacramento and the Bay Area, guests enjoy convenient access with hundreds of slopeside parking spots. The Employee Experience

Room and Board
We highly suggest you find accommodations in the Donner Summit or Truckee area. However, Sugar Bowl does offer, for a fee, employee housing to qualified staff members.
Dorms: Dorms owned by Sugar Bowl house 2-3 people per room with community bathrooms. Prices are affordable, ranging from $350 up to $450 per month including all utilities. Dorm rooms are located at our Summit House, Village, and Donner Summit Lodge locations (dorms are located on and offsite).
For all rooms, you must bring your own linens/pillows/towels. You must also bring a HEAVY comforter with you for your top sheet. Additionally, we cannot determine whether you will have a twin or double bed until you arrive, so bring a sleeping bag and buy sheets after you get here.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Sugar Bowl offers a free shuttle service for our employees from the nearby towns of Truckee and Soda Springs, and from our housing facilities to the resort. It operates daily from Mid December until April.
Recreational opportunities abound in the Lake Tahoe region. Besides skiing and boarding, the region offers snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, shopping, nightlife, and fantastic restaurants.
