Room and Board
We know how difficult finding suitable housing in our highly desirable location is –we make our accommodations available to those who demonstrate their commitment to Sugar Bowl | Royal Gorge Resort. In order to ensure that each department can meet its staffing needs for the season, housing units are allocated on a department-by-department basis. Team members must be 21 years or older to live in employee housing.
We have nearly 150 beds for seasonal employees. We have additional housing units which serve as home to year-round managers and supervisors, and to certain key resort positions as well.
Some of our housing is located within the resort, and much of it is located along Donner Pass Road from 1-3 miles from our main gate. Most of these units are dorm-style, with shared facilities.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Sugar Bowl offers a free shuttle service for our employees from the nearby towns of Truckee and Soda Springs, and from our housing facilities to the resort. It operates daily from Mid December until April.
Recreational opportunities abound in the Lake Tahoe region. Besides skiing and boarding, the region offers snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, shopping, nightlife, and fantastic restaurants.
