Red Lodge Mountain begins hiring for the winter season in mid-August.  Our all employee orientation is held mid-November and the season runs the day after Thanksgiving to mid-April.

We begin hiring for the summer season in March. Positions at the golf course run May-September.

    Job Summary: The IT Manager oversees all information technology operations at Red Lodge Mountain.  Accountable for all information technology goals while contributing to overall company goals and initiatives.

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    • Maintain a current working knowledge of a variety of technologies to be able to provide needed support throughout the company.  Required technologies include windows-based networking, database administration, telephone systems, credit card processing, email systems, and point of sale software.
    • Maintain efficient and optimal operation of Microsoft SQL Server based databases and develop custom reports and procedures as needed to collect and use data of value to the company. 
    • Analyze existing hardware and software to determine opportunities to upgrade to newer technologies with an emphasis on improved operation and cost savings.
    • Work with department managers to provide department-specific IT solutions.
    • Install workstations, printers, and other devices as needed ensuring proper function and connection to the network.
    • Resolve issues with user computers, printers, network connections, and/or phones as needed.
    • Monitor status of network, network servers, and software; facilitate resolution of issues as needed.
    • Provide status reports, including suggestions for improvement, to supervisor.
    • Suggest training ideas for users based upon interaction while resolving user issues.
    • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of department processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
    • Work with Human Resources to interview, hire, train, and appraise performance of IT staff.
    • Provide supervision and guidance to IT staff in accordance with RLM policies and State/Federal employment laws.
    • Maintain IT Department work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
    • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, reviews, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources when necessary.
    • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports for the company, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
    • Communicate regularly and effectively with employees, managers, directors, general manager, and other designated contacts within the organization.
    • Responsible for promoting a positive attitude within the organization; maintain and enhance a team-oriented culture with all departments and demonstrate a collaborative attitude.
    • Respond to guest and employee complaints appropriately and in a timely manner.
    • Assist subordinates and other departments in performing duties whenever necessary.

    Required:

    • Working understanding of LAN / WAN networking structure.

    Experience/Education

    Required:

    • 4 year degree  in either computer science or business management or commensurate experience.
    • 1-3 years previous experience in the IT environment at the manager level.

    Strongly Preferred:

    • Experience with RTP point of sale software

    Preferred:

    • MCSA – Data Platform Certification
    • 3+ years of experience in database programming / administration, preferably with user support.
    • In-depth experience with PBX based analog/digital phone systems.
    • Experience in the ski industry.

    Job Summary: Provide general computer and network maintenance and support relating to users, software, and network devices.  Provide preliminary trouble-shooting and problem-solving in the absence of IT Manager.  Staffs the IT office during business hours for prompt end-user support. 

     

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of network, operating system, and application software being used to provide support to users.
    • Learn/help administer RTP POS System.  Build RTP products and maintain a working knowledge of top-level access processes.
    • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
    • Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
    • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).

    • Assist as needed with ski area logistics work including shoveling snow.

    Job Summary: Serves as the front line for Red Lodge Mountain, providing customer service to guests on and off the mountain.

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

     

    • Provide guidance to guests in the base area and on the mountain
    • Serve as parking attendant and parking lot shuttle driver
    • Provide on-mountain tours as necessary
    • Greet scheduled groups in the parking lot and guide them around the base area for check-in
    • Assist Base Operations departments with shoveling/sanding duties, crowd control, janitorial, and guest related issues
    • Assist guests with baggage and ski gear from their vehicles to lodges
    • Assist Ticket Office staff in processing, storing, and retrieving Lost and Found items
    • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service
    • Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio

    Job Summary: Responsible for janitorial duties in and around the companies’ public facilities.

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    • Clean all RLM facilities, including the base area and those on the mountain.

    • Efficiently clean and stock all bathrooms in all facilities throughout the day.

    • Assist with snow removal, including shoveling and snow blowing.

    • Assist other departments with cleaning/maintenance issues.

    • Empty and transport garbage and recycling.

    • Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio.

    • May be transported to various facilities via snowmobile, chair lift, or snow grooming machines.

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
    • Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise on counters, tables, and shelves to promote sales.
    • Prepare merchandise for sale (enter into inventory, tag, hang, display).
    • Use literature and available training resources to stay up to date on product features in order to educate the consumer.
    • Provide information regarding services and products and answer any preliminary questions customers have.
    • Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money, and give change using a PC point of sales system.
    • Keep sales floor, other sales areas, storage areas, and GPO bathrooms stocked, clean, and organized.
    • Shovel and clear snow around retail locations when necessary.
    • Assist with data entry related to retail merchandise/inventory.
    • Follow closing procedures as outlined in RTP/Cash Handling Training.

    • Operate busses for guest and employee shuttles.
    • Complete maintenance logs and checklists.
    • Perform daily checks/maintenance (greasing) of vehicles and notify supervisor/mechanics of problems beyond your skill set.
