    Job Summary: Provide general computer and network maintenance and support relating to users, software, and network devices.  Provide preliminary trouble-shooting and problem-solving in the absence of the IT manager.

     

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

     

    • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of network, operating system and application software being used to provide support to users.
    • Install workstations and printers as requested ensuring proper function and connection to the network.
    • Resolve issues with user computers, printers, network connections, phones, and other electronics as needed including devices in remote locations around the mountain.
    • Monitor status of network and network servers and facilitate resolution of issues as needed.
    • Provide status reports, including input and suggestions, to IT Manager
    • Maintain strong working relationships with department heads and front line users
    • Suggest training ideas for users based upon interaction while resolving user issues.
    • Learn/Help administer POS System.
    • Assist as needed with ski resort logistics work including shoveling snow

    • Learn/help administer RTP POS System.  Build RTP products and maintain a working knowledge of top-level access processes.
    • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
    • Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
    • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
    • Set up accounts for new users and unlock existing accounts.
    • Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
    • Install workstations and printers as requested ensuring proper function and connection to the network.
    • Resolve issues with user computers, printers, network connections, phones, mobile scan guns, and other electronics as needed, including devices in remote locations around the mountain.
    • Monitor status of network and network servers and facilitate resolution of issues as needed.
    • Provide status reports, including input and suggestions, to the Assistant General Manager.
    • Communicate regularly and effectively with employees, managers, directors, general manager, and other designated contacts within the organization.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with department heads and end-users.
    • Work cohesively and share information with other IT staff.
    • Assist as needed with ski area logistics work including shoveling snow.

    The Red Lodge Mountain Snowsports School hires a talented pool of instructors and coaches every season. The purpose of the Apprentice Program is to introduce prospective instructors to the profession and offer a progressive training program. Many job openings are filled on an “as needed” basis throughout the season, especially during the busy holiday season. Red Lodge Mountain does not guarantee employment to any of the participants of this training clinic. However, there may be people hired directly from this two-day training, and others later in the season.  A few may even decide to work for other departments.

    Job Summary:  Setup and monitor snowmaking activities on the mountain.

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    • Responsible for start up, maintenance, and shutdown of snowmaking equipment.
    • Work at night in cold, wintry conditions.
    • Advise supervisor of adverse conditions or problems as appropriate.
    • Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio.
    • Must ride snowmobiles and ATV's
    • Typical shift is 6 PM-6AM

    Job Summary: Assists guests and employees by scanning tickets before they load the chairlift.

    Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
    • Maintain condition and appearance of lift ramps and lift terminal areas.
    • Facilitate orderly passenger traffic conditions at assigned lift station (may include placement of barriers and directional aids).
    • Acquire general understanding of operation of lift in order to advise mechanics if lift is working improperly.
    • Remove or relocate snow as needed.
    • Assure that all guests meet the needed requirements in order to load the lift.
    • Prevent fraudulent lift access.
    • Advise supervisor or ski patrol of adverse conditions or problems as appropriate.
    • Maintain written operational logs as required by ANSI Code.
    • Perform other tasks as required (including assisting other departments as necessary).
    • Provide supervisor with feedback on job related matters.
    • Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio.
