This job description is written with the understanding that what we do here at the Little Jennie Ranch happens as one team running multiple businesses under the Little Jennie Ranch name. We recognize that the best team will work together across businesses to achieve our goals. We aim to promote Western traditions and stewardship through our livestock business and outfitting operation. Specifically in our outfitting operation, we aim for authentic experiences that leave people in love with ranch life and the mountains. Our typical client has more horse experience than the average guest ranch and is really looking to feel like they are part of the greater ranch. We aim to provide that by being our most authentic but professional selves. We work hard to uplift our entire crew and their passions and often that gets to come out in work with our clients and guests, from singing and performing poetry around the campfire to leatherwork, cinch making, painting, and drawing with clients or demonstrating. We are lucky to have a very hard working, experienced and dynamic crew, that is looking for some more help and more teammates.

**Considering the following values of the ranch**

  • safety
  • integrity (straight talk now)
  • ride for the brand
  • good stockmanship

  • Help grill burgers and sell meat at the Farmers Markets
  • Prepare a ranch crew meal to bring our team together for a meal when the schedule permits

Outfitting Guide Work (secondary)–since we expect everyone to step up and step into any role when needed, including the cook, it’s only fair that we expect the cook to help with the normal guide tasks and chores where and when possible.
