About Kenai River Drifter's Lodge
We are located right on the Kenai River, and it doesn't get much better than this!
Drifters Lodge offers guests a variety of services such as expert guided fishing, quality lodging, scenic rafting, guided hiking and day tours around the Kenai Peninsula. We pride ourselves on our customer service and give our clients only the best. Our flexible staff works hard to give everyone the experience of a lifetime.
The Employee Experience
Our Team atmosphere makes the Drifters Crew a family. We love to live, love to work, and love to play here at Drifters Lodge.
Our pay rate starts at $10 an hour and goes up based on employees' experience. Our employees have very few expenses and most needs are provided for as we cover your room, food, and a vehicle, when they are available, to use. In the height of fishing season our days start very early and they end late due to the 20+ hours of daylight. The season runs from Mid-May to Mid-September, though there is some flexibility for start and end dates.
Here at Drifter's we work hard to play hard, and you must have a love for the outdoors. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, reliable, efficient in their duties, and genuinely enjoys people. This is a tourist based industry and we need someone who is excellent with customer service and willing to go the extra mile for our guests to maintain our high standards of service. A willingness to be flexible with your hours is important as well.
Room and Board
Drifter's lodge provides free room and board to all of our employees. We have both single and double occupancy rooms, and you will have access to a shared house. The house includes a fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms/ showers, and a lounge area with a TV. Our lodge also has on-site laundry, and all bed linens and towels are provided. The rooms are equipped with electricity, plenty of Wi-Fi, but not water. We employ a full time cook to provide employees dinner every night.
Drifters Lodge employees have many opportunities available to them. We offer rafting, fishing, and wildlife viewing at no charge, and have access to discounted glacial cruising, fly out fishing trips, horseback riding, and other exciting adventures through the partners we work with.
We have awesome meals and all the ice cream you can eat.
Getting Here and Getting Around
You will fly to and from the Anchorage airport. From there we will provide transportation to and from the lodge. We have vehicles on site for employee to use, depending on availability and a good driving record.
How many ways to have fun in this amazing place? Too many to count. Join us for a Trophy Rainbow Trout trip, alpine mountain hiking, Alaskan Halibut charter, white-water rafting trip, live music at the pavilion, group outing to the State Fair, ocean kayaking, or just about any adventure you can imagine.
Cooper Landing is small, but offers several restaurants with live music, a post office and library, and plenty of community activities to keep you busy.
