    We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Host to join our team at Jordan Pond House. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a strong focus on providing an excellent guest experience. As a Host, you will play a key role in managing guest flow, ensuring smooth seating arrangements, and maintaining communication with both guests and the front-of-house team. The expectation is to provide exemplary customer service to all guests by being proficient in all aspects of FOH operations. Each restaurant associate will be trained in all FOH positions and can be expected to perform distinct roles on any given day to fulfill the needs of the operation. This position offers the opportunity to earn a share in the tip pool.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Seating Management: Greet guests warmly and manage the seating chart, ensuring efficient and timely seating during busy hours.
    • Reservation System Management: Use reservation software such as Resy, OpenTable, or other systems to track guest reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements.
    • Guest Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with guests regarding wait times, seating availability, and general inquiries.
    • Tempo Control: Ensure the restaurant operates smoothly by controlling the pace of seating to maintain a balanced flow of guests, avoiding overcrowding or delays.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to communicate guest needs and special requests.
    • Consistency and Organization: Manage busy environments, consistently seating guests while ensuring high service standards are maintained throughout peak hours.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in busy restaurants with waitlists.

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to stay upbeat and professional, even during busy periods.
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and efficiency during peak times.

    Overview:
    Jordan Pond House is looking for a dedicated Public Area Attendant to help maintain our beautiful property, providing a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, organization, and guest service in a scenic outdoor setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure all public areas, including restrooms, walkways, dining areas, and outdoor spaces, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards throughout the day.
    • Guest Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service to guests by answering questions, directing them to locations, and ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the property.
    • Parking Lot Assistance: Assist guests with parking in designated areas, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and guiding guests to available spots.
    • Trash and Recycling Removal: Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly and ensure waste is disposed of in the proper areas.
    • Restroom Maintenance: Regularly check and clean restrooms, restocking supplies as needed, and maintaining a sanitary and pleasant environment.
    • Detail Cleaning: Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as handrails, door handles, and benches, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.
    • Outdoor Spaces: Maintain outdoor seating areas, ensuring tables and chairs are properly arranged and clean. Assist in setting up and organizing outdoor spaces for guests.
    • Support Staff: Assist other departments (such as food and beverage or retail) with cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
    • Safety Awareness: Report any hazards, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred, but not required.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized work area.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

    Qualifications:

    Restaurant Supervisor

    $23.00 - $25.00 / hour
    Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park

    This job starts in late April and runs through October.

    Responsibilities:
    ● Assist the Restaurant Manager (RM) in overseeing all aspects of the front of house operation including ensuring that all Servers are trained and assisting the guests in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner per Company standards
    ● Ensure that the Host/Hostess area is clean and organized at all times and assist them during peak and busy periods. Ensure organization of daily restaurant reservations
    ● Oversee and monitor opening and closing side work responsibilities with Servers and Bussers on a daily basis and sign off on duties as required
    ● Supervise the Bartender and Server check-out and cash closing procedures
    ● Assist with the coordination of special tour luncheons collaborating with the Restaurant Manager and GM as required and coordinate schedule changes requiring additional time
    ● Ensure that the dining experience of all guests exceeds their expectations in an effort to provide extraordinary hospitality per the Company’s guidelines
    ● Execute proper and accurate closing procedures in accordance with company policy
    ● Provide objective and professional feedback to the Restaurant Manager regarding any and all operational issues as they arise
    ● Commit to train, coach and mentor front of house staff and work with Restaurant Manager involving disciplinary actions in order to further develop employees
    ● Perform any other duties as requested and adhere to job specific duties checklists


    Position Requirements:

    Summary of Position: Responsible for transporting employees between the Company’s properties and stop areas in a safe manner according to the Company Driver Agreement Policy.

    Responsibilities:

    ● Transport employees between the Company’s properties and designated stop areas in a safe and efficient manner

    ● Provides highest level of customer service and give assistance if necessary

    ● Be knowledgeable and helpful to passengers and guests as to schedules and services

    ● Strictly follow Company’s lost and found program

    ● Ensure vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition, noting any issues to Manager; performs pre & post shift vehicle inspections using Company inspection Forms and Vehicle Logs

    ● Understand company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet customers within 30 seconds of entering the store & provide friendly customer service
    • Achieve and maintain product knowledge to assist customers with purchasing decisions
    • Guide and direct customers to appropriate products of interest and answer related inquiries
    • Assist customers with all park related inquiries (utilizing approved NPS interpretive information)
    • Assist customers making selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions
    • Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point of sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards and making change
    • Restock and maintain displays (labeling correctly as needed) per Company standards
