    Overview:
    Jordan Pond House is looking for a dedicated Public Area Attendant to help maintain our beautiful property, providing a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, organization, and guest service in a scenic outdoor setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure all public areas, including restrooms, walkways, dining areas, and outdoor spaces, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards throughout the day.
    • Guest Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service to guests by answering questions, directing them to locations, and ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the property.
    • Parking Lot Assistance: Assist guests with parking in designated areas, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and guiding guests to available spots.
    • Trash and Recycling Removal: Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly and ensure waste is disposed of in the proper areas.
    • Restroom Maintenance: Regularly check and clean restrooms, restocking supplies as needed, and maintaining a sanitary and pleasant environment.
    • Detail Cleaning: Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as handrails, door handles, and benches, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.
    • Outdoor Spaces: Maintain outdoor seating areas, ensuring tables and chairs are properly arranged and clean. Assist in setting up and organizing outdoor spaces for guests.
    • Support Staff: Assist other departments (such as food and beverage or retail) with cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
    • Safety Awareness: Report any hazards, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred, but not required.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized work area.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, as this position involves maintaining both indoor and outdoor spaces.
    • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
    • A strong attendance record and reliable work ethic.
    • Must enjoy the outdoors—working in a beautiful outdoor environment within Acadia National Park.

    Summary of Position: Responsible for transporting employees between the Company’s properties and stop areas in a safe manner according to the Company Driver Agreement Policy.

    Responsibilities:

    ● Transport employees between the Company’s properties and designated stop areas in a safe and efficient manner

    ● Provides highest level of customer service and give assistance if necessary

    ● Be knowledgeable and helpful to passengers and guests as to schedules and services

    ● Strictly follow Company’s lost and found program

    ● Ensure vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition, noting any issues to Manager; performs pre & post shift vehicle inspections using Company inspection Forms and Vehicle Logs

    ● Understand company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.

    ● Adherence to associated Duties Checklist and other related duties as assigned Position Requirements

    ● Superior customer services skills, strong communication skills and a team player

    ● Work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts

    ● Safety oriented paying attention to all traffic rules and Company Driver Agreement Policy

    ● Provide a clean driving record on a MVR background check

    ● Pass a pre-employment drug screen

     

    Knowledge and Experience

    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid CDL license, Class B with passenger endorsement and Medical Card

    Experience: Six (6) months in a hotel/resort setting preferred Resort/ National Park Concession experience preferred

    Food & Beverage

    Restaurant Manager

    Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park

    Summary of Position:
    Responsible and accountable for ensuring all restaurant staff is trained in proper service techniques and sanitation guidelines. Also responsible for coaching and mentoring all direct reports to ensure effective employee development.

    • Ensures that the guest service expectations, as set forth by the Company Handbook, are being met or exceeded
    • Ensures Restaurant service staff is working as a cohesive unit to provide the highest level of quality and service as per the company standards
    • Responsible for direct leadership, coaching and mentoring of the Restaurant service staff including Leads, bartenders, servers, food runners, and bussers, in their respective technical responsibilities
    • Covers the Restaurant Lead’s day off by spending dedicated time and effort ensuring operations continue to meet expectations
    • Assists the F&B Manager in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of the restaurant service team
    • Works with the Leads to ensure all new hire and continuous on the job training programs are being followed which includes cross training, proper use of Micros, menus, sanitation guidelines, and service standards in order to deliver an exceptional guest experience
    • Responsible for managing labor costs according to the labor schedules provided by the F&B Manager
    • Responsible for assisting the F&B Manager with the placing/receiving alcohol orders
    • Ensures compliance with operational and Company standards, policies, and Federal, state, local laws and ordinances
    • Maintain professional image, including sanitation and cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards
    • Understand company’s Health & Safety standards and the ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
    Food & Beverage

    Line Cook

    $22.00 / hour
    • Assist the Kitchen Manager and Lead Cook in ensuring that the menu, which cannot be changed without Corporate F&B approval, and guest service expectations, as set forth by the Employee Handbook are being met or exceeded.
    • Become a strong member of an efficient and highly motivated culinary team focused on surpassing expectations by presenting a positive, can-do attitude very day.
    • Adhere to defined Company recipes and Safe Food Handling procedures in order to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
    • Complete all required food and safety logs in a timely and efficient manner per Company procedures and Federal, State, and Local regulations
    • Obtain ServSafe or State Food Handler Certification in accordance with F&B company policy
    • Comply with time and attendance policies and be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend and holiday shifts as requested
    • Understand Company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, Health and Safety standards, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas

    Busser

    $11.00 / hour + tips

    • Promptly greet guests as they are seated providing required food amenities in a timely manner according to Company procedures
    • Communicate in a timely and efficient manner with Servers and Hosts regarding guest needs and table availability to ensure extraordinary service
    • Ensure alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with Federal, State, Local regulations and Company procedures
    • Assist servers as needed to provide exceptional guest service
    • Thoroughly and professionally complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks
    • Understand Company ISO (Environmental and Quality) management systems, Health and Safety standards, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
    • Other duties per Duties Checklist and as requested- this position supports Hosts, Beverage station, Expo, and our Servers 
    Food & Beverage

    Dishwasher

    $17.00 / hour
    Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park

    ● Adhere to the Company’s dishwashing procedures to ensure that all expectations regarding the cleaning, sanitizing and storing of dishware and utensils are met

    ● Work closely as a team with back of house kitchen staff to ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned in a timely, safe and efficient manner

    ● Organize items as they are cleaned, restock areas where items are stored

    ● Maintain cleanliness of work station, kitchen and food storage areas

    ● Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments with a variety of guest questions and requests

    ● Follow all procedures outlined in department and health and safety manuals in accordance with company policies and follow proper use and storage of chemicals used to clean kitchen items

    ● Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas

    ● Work as a busser, assuming all duties of that position, when not otherwise scheduled in the kitchen

    ● Other duties per Duties Checklist and as requested
