We're proud of the overnight trips we take, and during the summer months, taking a trip out of camp is one of the highlights for our campers. We're looking for trip leaders to help make this program a success. Our season is from June 4th to August 20th.
As a Trip Leader, you’ll plan and lead 1-to 5-night trips to various destinations throughout the beautiful San Juan Islands. While on land, you'll teach outdoor skills and environmental care and encourage campers to develop self-sufficiency. Safety is a top priority.
You should be comfortable leading trips in at least two of the following modes of transportation: kayak, canoe, backpacking, and sailing.
Lifeguard Training, Wilderness First Aid (such as WFA, WFR, or WEMT - we can help get you certified!), documented skill, and experience leading similar trips are all required.
Our Trip Leaders must be at least 21 years old. You will work in a team of 5 Trip Leaders that we hire each summer.
