Job Title: Reservations Shift Supervisor

Reports To: Reservations Manager

Type of Position: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Classification: Seasonal

Compensation: $16.50 - $18.50/hr.

Location: Durango, CO

Job Summary: The Reservations Supervisor assists in the training and support of reservations staff, handling client questions, reservation bookings, staff performance and daily checklists. This is a seasonal position with opportunity for a full-time work schedule.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to day operations, checklists and performance within the department in concert with, or in the absence of, Reservations Manager.
  • Monitors staff performance with Reservations Manager and ensures compliance with uniform, safety and attendance, and DSNGRR policies.
  • Assists in the training of new reservations agents and with the ongoing training of reservations staff as needed or requested by the Reservations Manager.
  • Assists Reservations Agents with providing customer reservation information, working ticket windows, stocking All Aboard brochure and informational racks, and booking passenger, special handling and freight reservations.
  • Work shifts, as needed, at ticket window assisting guests.

Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in Travel/Tourism or Business-related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
  • Reservation, Call Center, Hotel, Hospitality or other related experience required
  • Supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent customer service, communication skill
  • Strong computer background/skills with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Cash handling experience with a focus on accuracy, required

Work Environment:

  • Standing, sitting for 8 to 10 hours per shift
  • Walking in and around industrial/railroad environment on uneven surfaces
  • Occasional bending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds
