- Safely drive a 15 passenger van
- Ensure a safe, fun and timely tour
- Engage with guests, provide a fun and informational tour talk and be attentive to the guest's needs throughout the tour
- Give a safety talk and instructions on bike use before each tour
- Provide assistance along bike route with crossings, scenic stops, and any bike issues
- Must have had your drivers license for 5 years and a clean record for the last 3 years.
- Be able to load/unload bikes from a trailer
- Able to ride a bike 16 miles a day (Two 8 mile tours per day)
- Be a team player
- Bike maintenance knowledge is not required, just a love of the outdoors!

- Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic, with strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Extensive knowledge of bike components, including drivetrain, suspension, frames, and wheels.
- Ability to work independently while also being able to provide exceptional customer service.
- Service writing experience a plus
- Point of sale experience with Ascend or Lightspeed required.
- Season Duration: April through September
- Location: Juneau, Alaska
- Compensation: $25/hr will be considered for top talent.

We are looking for friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic people for our rental shop this summer. Must enjoy bikes and want to promote people exploring Juneau by bike. Bike mechanic knowledge is a plus but not required, we can train you on the basics as long as you’re willing and able to learn. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent time management.

Cycle Alaska is hiring Bicycle Tour Driver/Guides for our 2025 summer season. We're looking for friendly and energetic people who enjoy working outdoors to share the beauty of Juneau with our Guests. As a Driver Guide, you will get the opportunity to communicate directly with guests, share information on the surrounding area while being outside and be a part of a great team here at Cycle Alaska!
You start off your day by loading up and heading down to the Cruise ship docks. You get to greet your guests and then take them on an adventure through the Tongass National Forest! Our Driver Guides have the opportunity to ride with our guests on bike lanes, paths and gravel trail. Our tours are moderately paced and include stops along the way to talk about the surrounding area.
Tours always have one person driving our van and meeting at each stopping point while the other guides will be biking along side our guests. We try to have a mix of driving and biking each day so everyone gets an opportunity to bike with our guests.

Job Opportunity: Experienced Bicycle Mechanic – Cycle Alaska (Juneau, Alaska)
Cycle Alaska is seeking a skilled and experienced bicycle mechanic to join our team for the upcoming 2025 season in breathtaking Juneau, Alaska. This is a unique opportunity to combine rewarding work and earning potential (for the right candidate) with incredible outdoor experiences during the summer months. If you haven’t yet explored Southeast Alaska in the summer, now’s your chance for an unforgettable work vacation!
Position Overview:
As the primary bicycle mechanic at Cycle Alaska, you’ll be responsible for providing full-service repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of customer bicycles, e-bikes, and our fleet, tour and rental bikes (150+ fleet). Mechanic work will range from “Deep Dives” on older customer bikes to routine fleet maintenance to accessory installs. During the season our schedule is full with work. Your position will have a mechanic focus, but you may be required to support customers on the sales floor when we get slammed. The work is contemporary and includes all common drivetrain, suspension, frame, and wheel technologies including electronics and e-bike diagnosis and repair.
For top pay consideration, experience with Ascend point of sale software is mandatory. Trek University experience is a big plus. Any electronic certifications a plus. Previous shop management a plus.
