We hire all of our guiding positions to start between May 1st and June 15th, and go through October 1st with some flexibility to end early in September or end of August. 

 All guides are required to have CPR/First aid training. We provide training at the end of April/beginning of May. If you can't attend provided date of training you are required to get certified by start date. 

Drivers must have 6 years driving experience and pass a background check.

Shop mechanic positions start from March or May 1st and go through September or October 1st/

  • Bicycle Tour Guide

    $10.00 / hour + tips

    Seasonal full and part-time positions; May through September

    Cycle Alaska is hiring Guides for our 2019 summer season. Looking for a friendly and energetic person who enjoys working outdoors to share the beauty of Juneau with our Guests. As a Guide, you will get the opportunity to communicate directly with guests, share information on the surrounding area while being outside and be a part of a great team here at Cycle Alaska!

    Responsibilities, but not limited to:

    • First and foremost, upholding our tour mission; "We create great Memories for our guests".
    • Ensure a safe, fun and timely tour
    • Dock rep for your tour, collect tickets and settle
    • Conduct tour talks while driving to locations and at viewing points along tour route
    • Distribute bikes, helmets, raingear and other gear as needed to guests
    • Guide guests on bikes through two different tour locations, each about 9 miles long
    • Engage with the guests and be attentive to their needs

     Must be able to lift and unload bikes from a trailer, can ride a bike for nine miles and be a team player.

  • Bicycle Tour Driver Guide

    $13.00 / hour + tips

    Seasonal full and part-time positions; May through September 30

    Cycle Alaska is hiring Driver Guides for our 2019 summer season. We're looking for friendly and energetic people who enjoy working outdoors to share the beauty of Juneau with our Guests. As a Driver Guide, you will get the opportunity to communicate directly with guests, share information on the surrounding area while being outside and be a part of a great team here at Cycle Alaska!

    Responsibilities, but not limited to:

    • First and foremost, upholding our Tour Mission; “We create great memories for our guests”.
    • Safely drive 15 passenger vans with a bike trailer
    • Ensure a safe, fun and timely tour
    • Engage with guests, provide a fun and informational tour talk and be attentive to the guest's needs throughout the tour
    • Give a safety talk and instructions on bike use before each tour
    • Provide assistance along bike route with crossings, scenic stops, and any bike issues
    • Sometimes you will be biking as a guide!

    Must have at least six years driving experience and a clear record for three years prior. Must be able to load and unload bikes from a trailer, can ride a bike for nine miles and be a team player.

  • Bicycle Mechanic

    Bike Shop
    Juneau, Alaska

    Seasonal and year-round full-time positions; March through September

    We are currently looking for a friendly experienced mechanic for our summer season. Seeking a hard-working individual who takes pride in their own work, has attention to detail and strong customer service skills. Must have professional experience in a service shop.   

     Job requirements, but not limited to:

    • Ability to work on all types of bikes (road, mountain, hybrid, etc.)
    • Ability to communicate with customers about bikes, accessories, and repairs, must be able to explain work needed or work done on bikes.
    • Greet customer promptly on entering the store and help with all needs on the sales floor.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

    Cycle Alaska's bike shop is open year-round and our tours run May through September. Our mechanics not only work on customer’s bikes, but we also have a fleet of rentals and tour bikes that need maintenance all summer long.

    Compensation and benefits include:

    • 40 hours a week, some overtime required during peak season\
