Group Counselors
Lead and guide groups. Choose age level from 6-17 and assist with activity programs. (Counselors may also teach some activities.)
Bus Driver Trainee
Train to drive a bus to transport clientele. Benefits include behind-the-wheel and online Commercial Bus Driver training, and all the training, testing and fees to get your Commercial Driver License Class B with Passenger and Air Brakes endorsements. Our insurance requires drivers to be over 21. When driving a Camp Bus for clientele without the need for a supervising driver, expect a salary boost of $25/week. Driving combines with other main jobs.
Kitchen Manager / Head Chef
Plan and serve regular well-balanced homemade meals for 40-50 staff, three meals a day for six days each week. Snacks every day. Dinner, breakfast and lunch once a week for about 50 campers plus the staff and occasional adult meals for groups. Plan personalized menus, accommodate allergies, manage inventories, order food and supplies, manage the kitchen and dining room staff. Manage and help with overall cleanup. Maintain generally upbeat kitchen team camaraderie. Salary negotiable, depending on experience.
Maintenance
General upkeep of all systems -- mechanical, electrical, automotive, plumbing and repair. Loading, hauling, landscaping, set-up and cleanup.
Nanny
Care for our family’s little ones who are not ready to be campers - our 4 &1/2-year-old girl who is a rising kindergartner and occasionally our 6-year-old boy, a rising first grader who has been diagnosed to be on the Autism spectrum. Includes playing, exploring nature, visiting the horses and goats, reading books, supervising mealtimes and quiet times.
Office and Health Care
Public and staff relations and communications, including front desk, customer service, telephone, email. Also includes accounting, registration, computer, data, filing, health care of campers and staff. Plus some conflict resolution and one-on-one with children. Fun, rewarding, important, and fast-paced.
Prep Cook/Baker
Assist the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef. Help with personalized menu planning, allergy accommodation, inventory management, food prep, home-cooking, buffet management, serving, dish and pan washing, plus overall cleanup and maintenance of the kitchen, food storage areas, and the dining room. Also bake cookies, quick breads, muffins, pies, cakes, and other desserts.
Horse Guides/Wranglers
Must be comfortable in the saddle and enjoy children and horses! Train to teach Western riding, natural relationship with horses, bridling, saddling, horse and animal care, breeds and colors; lead instructional and trail rides and games on horses; feed and care for all animals and keep corrals, barn and tack clean and serviceable (mucking!). Help with roping and Western Art (drawing horses).
