To apply for a seasonal position at the Colorado Mountain Ranch for the summer of 2021:
All new applicants must be available to commit from May 26 - August 15, 2020. The arrival date of May 26 is NON-NEGOTIABLE for new staff members.
Overall Staff Orientation Week is May 26-31 followed by eleven weeks of children's programs starting June 1.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or documented as legally eligible to work in the US.
- Must be willing to be vaccinated against Covid.

Horse People! for Western riding, Horse Care, and baby kid Goat Tending! Are you comfortable in the saddle and do you like children and horses? Please apply! (Those hired to work with the Horses arrive May 24 to begin Wrangler Orientation.)
Specialists in Outdoor Skills and Crafts! to lead hands-on projects for outdoor sustainable living and to prepare children for safe wilderness hiking and camping adventures.
Specialists: Let's talk if you have experience and strong interest in teaching: Mountainboarding, Dramatic Games, Archery, Disc Golf, Native American Indian Lore, Leatherwork, socially-distanced Teambuilding Games, Nature Immersion, Yoga for children, Earth Sustainability (Including Organic Gardening), or creating new activities!
Bus Driver Trainees: Do you like to drive? Let us know! (Those hired as Bus Driver Trainees arrive by May 18 to begin Bus Driver Training. Our insurance requires drivers to be over 21.)

Western Horseback Riding (Wrangler)
Outdoor Skills & Crafts Specialist
Possibly: Mountainboarding (like snowboarding on wheels), Archery, Stream Exploration and Lake Swimming & Kayaking- need Lifeguard), No-touch Teambuilding Games, Gymnastics & Trampoline, Disc Golf, Dramatic Games, Yoga, Leather work, Nature Immersion, Indian Lore, Sustainability, Gardening
Lead and guide groups ages 7-17 and assist with activity programs. (Counselors may also teach some activities.)
Train to drive a bus to transport clientele. Behind-the-wheel bus driver training, testing, and licensing fees are a benefit. (Our insurance requires drivers to be over 21. Driving combines with other main jobs.)
General upkeep of all systems -- mechanical, electrical, automotive, plumbing and repair. Loading, hauling, landscaping, set-up and cleanup.
Must be comfortable in the saddle and like children and horses! Train to teach Western riding, natural relationship with horses, bridling, saddling, horse and animal care, breeds and colors; lead instructional and trail rides and games on horses; feed and care for all animals and keep corrals, barn and tack clean and serviceable. Help with roping and Western Art (drawing horses).
