Imagine spending your summer with kids kayaking in the sea, exploring tide pools, and boogie boarding in the Pacific Ocean. The Camp Ocean Pines Offsite Program Coordinator is responsible for leading exciting and safe adventure activities for summer camp youth. You'll work with campers ages 7-16 and lead them on California excursions to create lifelong memories.

We are a small summer camp with three goals: to help campers connect, explore, and grow. Offsite trips are one of our camper's favorite ways to achieve those goals! As one of two Offsite Program Coordinators, you will help coordinate and lead these trips for small groups of campers. We are located on the Central Coast of California, in the small town named Cambria. We are near beautiful local hiking areas, surfing spots, and cultural experiences. During the camp sessions, you will be enjoying these adventures as part of your job, and during your free time you are welcome to explore further! For this position, we are looking for candidates that are energetic, adventurous, responsible, and patient-especially with kids.

The 2024 summer camp season runs from May 27th - August 10th, and we provide onsite shared housing with the other summer coordinators during your stay here. Room and board are provided at no additional cost or pay reduction, and meals are provided whenever camp is in session. You will have access to the camp kitchen during weekends in between sessions.

You will also serve as a leadership member for our staff, serving as a mentor, role model, and leader for staff at camp.

  • Age 21+
  • A valid US drivers license
  • Lifeguard certification (training provided for potential staff)

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and culturally responsive teaching
  • Spanish or ASL language skills
