Where Memories Are Made
We are a residential girls camp in Maine entering into our 103rd season under the direction of the same family. Our staff comes from all over the United States and the World. Our staff form life-long friendships and memories while gaining invaluable experiences which they will use later in life. We are steeped in tradition, culture and a belief in the value of outdoor experiences.
We are in the Sebago Lake region of western Maine. Close to the white mountains of Maine and New Hampshire and about an hour from Portland.

The Employee Experience
Our staff come from all over the US and the world. The primary role of a counselor at Arcadia is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which allows our campers to take risks and grow. Our counselors are actively and enthusiastically involved in camp life teaching their activity and participating in community life.
Our ideal candidate is 21 or older with a clean driving record and has strong experience in his/her chosen activity. Has a love of and comfort in being in the out-of-doors. A positive outlook/attitude and a sense of humor are also a must. Enjoys working with children.
Room and Board
We provide room and board for the entire time employed. This includes laundry service and wifi. Our female staff live in cabins with campers and our male staff live in cabins with other staff members.
Getting Here and Getting Around
We encourage staff to bring personal cars which eases getting around Maine. On days off we provide transportation to destinations in Maine and New Hampshire. We pick staff up in Portland, Maine and bring them to camp about a 50 min ride.
Hike in the white mountains of Maine and NH. Head to Portland. Go to the coast. There are tons of lakes in the region for canoeing and kayaking. Hackers Hill provides an exceptional 360 view and is minutes from camp.
