    Averill Hospitality is seeking a Venue Manager to work with our food and beverage team.

    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Venue Manager oversees all aspects of the Venue. They are also responsible for all aspects of supervision of the staff including hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and reviewing staff. 

    They must meet all goals set forth by budgeting to sustain a profitable department and work closely with the other departments such as Food Truck Owners, Retail Vendors, Entertainment Management and must attend all necessary meetings to ensure the knowledge needed to perform this task.

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and disciplining staff.
    • Supervising the truck yard during meal periods to ensure that all standards and steps of service are met through all guest interactions.
    • Ensuring that checklists, requisitions, and proper opening and closing functions are completed each shift.
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear directions to the staff.
    • Lead and inspire all employees to work to their highest capabilities in order to achieve the highest possible standards.
    • Ensure staffing levels for the ice cream truck and bar are accurate based on forecast. Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, i.e. Specials, 86’d items, entertainment, reservations, etc.
    • Interact positively with customers. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of the guest.
    • Move throughout the facility, bar, and ice cream truck areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food and drink quality and service standards are met. Verify temperatures, judge appearance, taste of products, and check preparation methods to determine quality.
    • Utilize computer/POS to input and retrieve necessary data to accurately monitor labor cost.
    • Maintain cleanliness of food truck yard daily.
    • Work closely with Director of Beverage in monthly beverage inventory.
    • Assist in planning and setting up special events.
    • Solid beverage experience to include wine knowledge, experience with menu costing, design, and analysis.
    • Institute whatever safety measures are necessary to comply with appropriate Local and National regulations.
    • Develops and implements procedures to improve operations.
    • Develop and post schedules based on business levels.
    • Complete biweekly payroll.
    • Must have experience with beverage ordering and maintaining par levels.

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

    • Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including food, beverage, supervisory, and guest interaction.
    • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
    • Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer.
    • Knowledge of food & beverage operations and products, drink service and supervisory knowledge.
    • Requires standing and walking 95% of the workday.

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a restaurant or related field.

    The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking Tiki Server Assistants to work with our food and beverage team.

    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

    To ensure that guests are seated at a clean, properly set table within the shortest amount of time possible.  To maintain cleanliness of the dining room, and bar area.  To work with the servers and bartenders to ensure guests receive excellent service.  To keep all areas stocked in FOH for quick and efficient service.

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •       Ensure guests are seated at a clean, properly set table within the shortest amount of time.   
    •       Maintains the cleanliness of The Tiki Bar and patio.
    •       Maintains the cleanliness of the service station and notifies M.O.D of any problems.
    •        Sets up service area, restocks, silverware and glassware.
    •        Checks chairs, banquettes, and table bases for cleanliness. 
    •        Empties trash and sweeps floor areas
    •        Resets tables when guest depart the table.          
    •        Provides water and to new guests arriving.
    •        Assists with coffee and tea service if needed.
    •        Refills beverage service throughout the dining experience.
    •        Assists the server with clearing away dirty dishes and glassware.
    •        Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift.
    •        Prepares the shift change or close.
    •        Keeps the M.O.D informed of any problems or unusual matters throughout the restaurant.
    •        Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner in accordance with The Lodge's company policies.
    •        Maintains a positive working atmosphere.

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

    Requirements:

    •   Maintain expected level of personal appearance and hygiene consistent with The Boat Club's image for FOH employees working in full view of the guest.  Neat clean and well groomed. Men should be neatly shaven and hair well-groomed and out of face.  Women should have long hair pulled back and nails should be neatly trimmed and clean
    •        Dressed neatly and well-groomed in company approved uniforms at all times.
    •        Lifts and carries heavy items multiple times throughout the shifts.
    •        Frequent bending and stooping.
    •        At times works in a hot and cold climate.
    •        Exposed to hazards that may include broken glass, bottles, plates, burns, slips and falls.
    •        Walks and stands for a 6-8-hour shift.
    •        Reaches, bends, stoops, wipes.  
    •        Can clearly communicate well with guests and co-workers.
    •        Required to carry trays with food, drink, bus tubs, or supplies.
    •        Must be able to perform multi tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and be able to maintain the high standard of The Tiki Bar.

    The Server Assistant's schedule can be flexible with part and full time opportunities. Working evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.

Valid driver's license required and must be comfortable driving many vehicles including a manual transmission. This is the first face a guest sees when arriving to the resort so a friendly smile and good people skills are what we look for.
