We are focused on working in a team-oriented environment with special attention to customer service and giving our guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience!  All of our driver/guides require a class C CDL, valid passport & the ability to enter Canada.  We are willing to train the right candidate.

The Employee Experience

Skagway is a place packed with history, charm, and nonstop adventure. Working here guarantees an experience you’ll never forget. Every day brings new faces from around the globe, stunning landscapes right outside your door, and endless opportunities to explore. Mountains, lakes, wildlife… it’s all waiting for you. We work hard, we play hard, and we make the most of every moment!

When you're off the clock, Skagway becomes your outdoor playground. You will be able to hike endless trails, camp under the midnight sun, or reel in unbelievable fishing just minutes away.

We’re a family-owned and operated company made up of Southeast Tours, DIY Jeeps & Car Rentals, and Yukon Heath’s Popcorn and gift shop. Even though we run multiple businesses, we operate as one big, welcoming family and we can’t wait to have you join us.

Ideal Candidate

Southeast Tours is looking for highly energetic professionals to work with our guests!  Our company has a fast-paced team-oriented work environment and we need individuals who work well with the public, have good communication skills & genuinely care about people! We love what we do and working with our guests!  Ideal candidates can display that enthusiasm in a positive, professional manner.

Room and Board

Our company provides housing for employees. Most of our housing is apartment living with shared bedroom with someone of the same gender, shared bathroom, living room and kitchen.

Employee Perks

As part of Southeast Tours, you’ll enjoy free access to our tours and excursions including breathtaking trips into the Yukon Territory on your days off, based on availability. It’s an incredible way to explore and experience the very best of Alaska during your season in Skagway.

You’ll also receive discounts at various local businesses, giving you great savings on activities and more.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Skagway is accessible by road, air, and water. Most employees fly from Seattle to Juneau and then take a short commuter flight or ferry into Skagway, while others choose the scenic drive from the Lower 48 along the Alaskan and Klondike Highways. A personal vehicle is helpful but not required. Our town is only about 21 blocks long, making it easy to walk, and many employees purchase a used bike once they arrive. We also provide transportation to and from the airport or ferry terminal for your arrival and departure.

For Fun

Skagway is an outdoor lover’s paradise! With 26 world-class day hikes, you can explore mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and stunning wilderness right in your backyard. Your days off can be filled with fishing, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and even a round of frisbee golf. The fun doesn’t stop there! Enjoy midnight softball leagues, summer socials, outdoor concerts, and plenty of employee picnics and events that make the season unforgettable.

Are you ready to live and share the Alaska dream with the world? Come spend the summer in Skagway, Alaska, where rugged mountains, glacier-fed rivers, and breathtaking vistas become the daily scenery of your life. We’re looking for energetic, customer-focused CDL Drivers who love connecting with people, sharing stories, and embracing new experiences every day.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy meeting people from around the world, and want to create unforgettable memories for guests, this is the opportunity for you.

As a Shuttle Driver, your main focus is transporting cruise ship passengers safely and on time. You’ll often be the first person guests meet when they step off the ship, so your friendly attitude and excellent customer service set the tone for their entire Alaska experience. Safety, professionalism, and a positive, welcoming approach are essential.
