Why This Role Matters
As the Conference Office team member, you are the central connection point between guests, group leaders, and staff across campus. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and warm communication ensure every conference, retreat, and family reunion runs smoothly from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the friendly, professional first point of contact for conference guests and leaders
Manage phone, radio, and email communications for the Conference Department
Enter and verify event details in our reservation system (training provided)
Support Conference Coordinators by ensuring accurate room setups, meals, and lodging details
Collaborate across departments to meet each group’s unique needs
Create a welcoming, solutions-oriented environment that reflects YMCA values
What You Bring
Associate’s Degree preferred or 1+ year of relevant administrative or hospitality experience
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize
Confidence working independently while supporting a team
Comfort using computers and standard office equipment
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
