Imagine starting your workday surrounded by the mountains of Estes Park, helping groups create unforgettable conferences, retreats, reunions, and events.

As an Event Staff member at YMCA of the Rockies, you'll be part of the team that makes those experiences happen. From setting up meeting rooms and operating audio/visual equipment to delivering guest requests and keeping facilities ready for the next group, no two days are exactly alike.

You'll work behind the scenes—and sometimes front and center—to make sure our guests have everything they need for a successful stay.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Set up and tear down conference and event spaces with tables, chairs, equipment, and refreshments.

  • Operate and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment and assist guests with event technology.

  • Keep meeting rooms, public spaces, restrooms, and gathering areas clean and guest-ready.

  • Deliver items such as keys, cribs, high chairs, and grills to guests.

  • Assist with refreshments and catering services when needed.

  • Help with snow and ice removal to keep guests and facilities safe.

  • Maintain campfire rings, grills, equipment rooms, and supply areas.

  • Operate department vehicles and equipment responsibly.

  • Provide reception, radio dispatch, and communication support as needed.

  • Pitch in with Housekeeping during busy and slow periods, including cabins, lodge rooms, and commercial laundry.

  • Perform other duties that help create an exceptional guest experience.

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF...

You're someone who enjoys staying active, working with people, and doing something different every day. You don't mind getting your hands dirty, moving equipment, solving problems, or jumping in wherever the team needs you.

You'll need the physical stamina to spend your day on your feet, bend, kneel, stoop, vacuum, scrub, lift up to 50 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors.

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software

  • Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift scheduled between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM
