The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for assuring that the highest degree of room quality and guest care is maintained at all times. The Housekeeping Manager supervises a team of seasonal Housekeepers.
This is a unique housekeeping environment. All guest accommodations are in cabins spread out over 4 acres. The housekeeping team will be working in all types of weather (including inclement weather), walking between cabins in the rain, and taking shoes on/off throughout the day. The team will wear radios for efficient communication for work efficiency.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage, train, and schedule the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operation and consistent cleanliness standards.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
Address guest requests and feedback immediately, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, ordering as needed while staying within budget guidelines.
Report and follow up on maintenance issues to ensure that rooms are in good condition and available for use.
Enforce all safety, security, and health regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the Housekeeping department.
Daily communication with the Lodge Director regarding the status of the property, including any maintenance or repair requirements.
Engage in ensuring that the lodge aesthetic is upheld.
Oversee and ensure the daily stocking and maintaining of in-room guest amenities and housekeeping supply closets, room bussing, guest personal laundry, and washing and folding of housekeeping linens.
Requirements
Must be over 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferably, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a full-service resort.
This is a physically demanding job: must be able to work while standing, bending, and lifting for ~ 10 hours per day. Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs daily.
Ability to regularly lift ~ 20lbs.
Ability to frequently lift ~ 40lbs.
Thorough knowledge of housekeeping process and procedures.
Positive references performing similar duties.
Self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
Operating Season runs approximately May 25th – September 25th.
Positive attitude and good work ethic.
Background check required.
Non-smoker.
Adaptability: not every day goes as scheduled. In those times it’s about communicating with the team to ensure the job gets done.
Proven ability to fully contribute, support, and build trust within a dedicated team.

Compensation
Salary is $5,000 to $5500/month, based upon experience.
Plus, participation in a generous tip pool.
Plus, a private room is provided (no room shares).
Plus, all meals are provided.
Travel benefits can be earned by completing the season and with seniority.
