About Turpin Meadow Ranch

Turpin Meadow Ranch is nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled along the Buffalo Fork River in the Teton Wilderness, the ranch is surrounded by over 2.5 million acres of pristine backcountry between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone.

Just 40 minutes north of Jackson Hole, Turpin offers the perfect blend of remote seclusion and easy access to one of the most iconic destinations in the world. From the lodge, guests and staff alike can take in sweeping views of the Tetons, endless star-filled skies, and incredible landscapes.

While we are proud to offer a twist of modern comfort and hospitality, it’s the authentic mountain setting that makes Turpin an unforgettable place to work and live.

The Employee Experience

Is Ranch Life Calling You?

Working at Turpin Meadow Ranch is more than a seasonal job; it’s a chance to be part of something real, meaningful, and unforgettable. Our team is consistently named in guest reviews as the reason people return year after year. Whether you’re guiding adventures, serving meals, or caring for cabins, you’re not just filling a role; you’re helping create moments guests will remember for a lifetime.

This is a place for people who want their work to matter and their days to be full of purpose, teamwork, and wide-open spaces.

What We’re Looking For

A Heart for People
You genuinely enjoy connecting with others. You notice the little things, anticipate needs, and take pride in making someone’s day better, whether that’s a guest or a teammate.

A Drive to Do Things Well
At Turpin, excellence isn’t about perfection—it’s about care. From first impressions to final farewells, you’ll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, pride in work, and delivering an exceptional experience.

Adventure-Ready & Team-Focused
Life in the Tetons is remote, wild, and always changing—and that’s the point. The best candidates are adaptable, positive, and thrive in a close-knit team where everyone shows up for one another.

More Than a Season

For some, Turpin is a one-season adventure. For others, it’s the beginning of a career in guest ranch hospitality. Many of our long-term leaders and returning staff started in seasonal roles, learned the rhythm of ranch life, and grew into expanded responsibilities over time. We value curiosity, commitment, and people who want to grow with us.

Guests come for the scenery and adventure, but they return because of the people who made them feel welcome, cared for, and at home. If you’re looking for a season that stands out or a path toward something bigger, Turpin Meadow Ranch may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Ideal Candidate

Is This You?

At Turpin Meadow Ranch, our team is small, close-knit, and comprised of individuals from across the country with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. To thrive here, you must bring more than job skills—you must bring the right mindset.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Values Community – You’re able to live and work harmoniously in a small group setting, embracing differences and treating everyone with respect.

  • Thrives in Winter & Isolation – Life here means deep snow, remote wilderness, and limited outside distractions. You embrace these conditions with resilience and positivity, seeing them as part of the adventure rather than a challenge to endure. Maintaining balance, good mental health, and a love of the outdoors are essential for success.

  • Puts Guests & Team First – Self-awareness is key. You understand that creating five-star experiences requires setting aside your ego and prioritizing the needs of guests and teammates over your own.

  • Has Emotional Maturity – Drama has no place at Turpin. Our team members handle challenges with grace, maintain composure under pressure, and foster a positive, supportive environment.

  • Works Hard with Purpose – Detail-oriented, focused, and dedicated, you approach every task—big or small—with pride and a commitment to excellence.

  • Brings Respect & Integrity – From how you treat your coworkers to how you care for a guest’s experience, your actions consistently reflect professionalism and authenticity.

We’re looking for good humans—people who know that hospitality is about generosity of spirit, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. If you can balance adventure with accountability, independence with collaboration, and professionalism with warmth, then you might be the kind of person who belongs at Turpin Meadow Ranch.

Turpin Meadow Ranch provides on-property housing at no charge for all seasonal staff. Housing options vary based on position, length of employment commitment, and availability. Accommodations range from single-occupancy rooms, double-occupancy rooms, to dorm-style housing with shared common spaces. Each staff housing building includes access to a community kitchen, and a dedicated staff laundry facility is available on-site for employee use.

Employee Perks

Performance, Growth & Recognition
At Turpin Meadow Ranch, we believe great work deserves both clarity and recognition. Each season, team members take part in our SMART performance program, a goal-setting framework built around Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals that reflect the heart of ranch life—exceptional guest experiences, strong teamwork, stewardship of this remarkable place, and pride in daily operations. Goals are thoughtfully set by role and reviewed throughout the season, creating a shared sense of ownership and growth. Eligible staff may earn an end-of-season performance bonus in recognition of meaningful contributions, accountability, and commitment to the success of guests, colleagues, and the ranch as a whole.

Work–Life Balance & Summer Perks
At Turpin Meadow Ranch, we believe time outdoors and time to recharge are essential to doing great work. As part of our summer team, staff have access to ranch amenities and opportunities—when scheduling allows—to enjoy the very experiences that make this place special. Team members may participate in horseback riding, hiking and trail exploration, mountain biking, fly fishing, and wildlife viewing, all set against the backdrop of the Tetons. In addition, employees receive discounts on retail merchandise and dining, as well as exclusive perks through local outfitters and partners. We’re intentional about creating a workplace where meaningful work and meaningful time off go hand in hand.

Getting Here and Getting Around

You are expected to arrive in Jackson Hole by your own means of transportation. Although Jackson Hole has an airport, it is strongly recommended that you have reliable transportation to explore the nearby national parks and visit the town of Jackson. Please note that the ranch does not provide regular employee shuttles.

Keep in mind that navigation systems and GPS devices may give inaccurate directions, so it's advisable to print and prepare your driving directions in advance. If you have any questions about closed roads or need general directions, please call us before you start your journey to the ranch. Additionally, be aware that cell phone reception can be limited in many nearby areas and throughout many parts of Wyoming.

For Fun

Summer

Summer at Turpin Meadow Ranch means long days, big skies, and endless ways to get outside. Staff enjoy access to horseback riding, hiking and trail exploration, mountain biking, fly fishing, and wildlife viewing, with National Forest trailheads within walking distance of the ranch. Grand Teton National Park is approximately 15 miles away, offering easy access to iconic hikes, alpine lakes, and scenic drives on days off. Evenings often wind down around a campfire, sharing stories with coworkers after a full day in the mountains. If you love fresh air, physical days, and unforgettable sunsets, summer at Turpin delivers.

Winter

Winter transforms Turpin Meadow Ranch into a true mountain playground. Staff can enjoy Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, and snowmobiling, with wide-open meadows and forested trails right outside the door. The surrounding wilderness offers incredible winter access, and multi-sport days are common for those who like to pack it all in. After a day in the snow, there’s nothing better than warming up with friends, good food, and the quiet beauty of a Wyoming winter night.
