The Town of Nags Head Ocean Rescue offers the opportunity to serve the public where the ocean shapes every day. Ocean Rescue Guards keeps people safe in a challenging, ever-changing coastal environment requiring physical skill, situational awareness and teamwork to keep our beaches safe. Our team trains hard, protects lives, and build friendships that last long after the season ends.

Nags Head is located in North Carolina's Outer Banks. Our barrier islands are created by wind, water, and time. Powerful surf, shifting sandbars, rip currents, and rapidly changing weather conditions are part of our day-to-day environment. These conditions create a beautiful coastline and offer a variety of recreational activities.
