The Employee Experience
The Seward Windsong Lodge offers an unforgettable summer experience. Living and working with people from all over the world, you’re sure to make friends for life. Located in an idyllic town between the sea and the mountains, there are numerous opportunities for adventure: hiking, kayaking, berry picking, whale watching, and so much more. Though it's the "Land of the Midnight Sun", there is an active nightlife with live music and DJ dance parties at multiple venues around town.
In addition to our Welcome Dinner, summer BBQ and End of Season party, which are organized by the managers, employees often organize their own camping trips, bonfires by the river, family dinners and other gatherings. After working one season at the Seward Windsong Lodge, many of our employees come back summer after summer.

Room and Board
The Lodge provides on-site housing for its employees who are 18 years of age or older, on a first-come first-served basis, with preference given to employees from out of town. Employee housing costs $6.00 per person, per day.
Housing is available for up to 104 employees, and consists of 43 cabins/rooms, two trailers, and eight rooms with private bathrooms for managers and supervisors. There are two people in each room. The Lodge has a staff commons building that accommodates male and female bathrooms with showers, a laundry facility, kitchen area and sitting room with television. The employee housing area offers complimentary laundry and WiFi. The Lodge provides bedding and towels. The kitchen area is equipped with refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves; however, employees must provide their own cooking utensils.

Pets are not permitted in employee housing.
In addition to competitive wages, we offer Seward Windsong Lodge employees perks and discounts on Kenai Fjords Tours day cruises, discounts on our Lodge room rates, restaurant discounts, and many other deals for a variety of Alaska adventures in the area.
Pay Days/Direct Deposit
Pay days are bi-weekly, every second Tuesday. Pay advances are not available, so please ensure availability of sufficient funds for food, etc. during the first three weeks of employment. The Lodge encourages employees to sign up for direct deposited payroll for additional security. This requires the employee provide a voided check on the account funds are to be deposited to.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Travel to Seward
- Flights - Closest commercial Airport (Ted Stevens International) is in Anchorage, the flight from Seattle is approximately 3 hours in duration.
- Driving- It takes approximately two and a half hours to drive south from Anchorage to Seward along the Seward Highway, designated a Scenic Byway.
- Train - Travel is available from mid May through mid September via the famous Alaska Railroad. Employees are usually eligible to receive a discount (May thru Sept) if space is available.
- Shuttle Bus – Space available shuttle service from Anchorage to Seward in the spring. Reservations are required. Please call 800-270-1238 for additional details and information on rates and schedule.
- There is also The Seward Bus Line which offers year round shuttle service. The Contact the Seward Bus Line at 907-563-0800 for reservations and pricing.
- Coach Service - The Park Connection (mid May through mid September) offers two departures a day. Employees can receive a discount. For reservations please call 800-266-8625.
Local Transportation: Employees can ride the guest shuttle to some locations near the lodge. Taxi services are available 24 hours a day.
Seward is a picturesque, seaside town located on the Kenai Peninsula, with a population of approximately 2,500 residents in the winter & approximately 8,500 in the summer. Nestled between the shores of Resurrection Bay and surrounded by mountains, this small town is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward is surrounded by breathtaking scenic beauty and offers incredible opportunities for exploration, recreation and outdoor relaxation.

For a small town, Seward has a lot of amenities that many small Alaskan towns do not offer, such as: a library, banks, grocery stores, fitness centers, 24-hour taxi services, free shuttles in town, and good cell coverage.
