THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Housekeeping Manager position is a full- time, year-round position. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations including private residence cleaning, laundry, inventory of supplies, scheduling, training, discipline and inspecting of the residence properties. This includes off season cleaning projects. The Manager is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, supervising, and creating weekly Associates schedules. While maintaining a positive and friendly attitude with all member owners and Associates and is the liaison between member owners and cleaners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  1. Oversees the overall operation of the housekeeping department

    1. Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.  

    2. Inspect homes cleaned by assigned housekeeper, using designated checklist. Directly contact housekeeper and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.   

    3. Update home status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards.  

  2. Supervision of department staff

    1. Identifies staffing needs; obtain approval for additional positions; and works with human resources to source and hire candidates.

    2. Interviews, screens, completes reference checks, and seek approval to hire candidates

    3. Conducts weekly, monthly, quarterly performance reviews

    4. Address performance issues

    5. Assist with shuttling employees from housing to the worksite before and after their shift.

  3. Quality control

    1. Report maintenance repairs and submit to Management. Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.  

    2. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. 

    3. Inspect homes cleaned by assigned housekeeper, using designated checklist. Directly contact housekeeper and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.  

KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • High school degree or GED, Associates degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3-years in a supervisor/lead housekeeping position

  • Additional, 3-years of housekeeping experience

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.  

  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.  

  • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.

  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.        

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends when needed.

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (parking tickets are acceptable)

  • Able to pass a criminal background screen  

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of member owners and guest information.
