Room and Board
We offer affordable housing for full-time staff, with rates just enough to cover utilities and basic upkeep.
🏡 Staff Bunkhouse – A 5-bedroom apartment with WiFi, a private kitchen, and a bathroom, shared by two people per room.
🌲 Rustic Cabins – We also have several dry cabins on the property, each housing 2-3 staff members with propane or wood-stove heat. These cabins are close together, with access to an outdoor kitchen, showers, restrooms, and WiFi.
Many staff end up with their own cabin or share with just one person—it’s a mix of cozy, small cabins spread across the property, offering a true Alaskan living experience! 🌿🔥

Getting Here and Getting Around
Employees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from Anchorage. Once you arrive, you can take the train or bus to Seward, and we’re happy to help set that up. When you get to Seward, we’ll pick you up at the depot and bring you to Millers Landing on Lowell Point, just three miles outside of town via a scenic dirt road.
Seward is a small, walkable town, and many employees get around by bike, foot, or even rollerblades! The ride into town is mostly flat and incredibly scenic if you stick to the coast. While the nearest grocery store is five miles away, staff often carpool to town to run errands or explore. Having a vehicle is helpful for seeing more of Alaska, but with hiking trails, fishing spots, and the Chugach National Forest right in our backyard, adventure is never far away! 🚲🏔️🚶♂️
For Fun
Seward is an amazing place to spend a summer! Whether you’re into hiking, kayaking, fishing, or wildlife watching, there’s no shortage of adventure. Explore scenic trails, paddle through fjords, take a fishing charter, hop on a glacier cruise, or even go dogsledding or flightseeing—all right in your backyard!
Though Seward is a small town, it comes alive in the summer with seasonal workers, locals, and visitors from all over the world. There’s a fun, social atmosphere with live music, great local spots to grab food and drinks, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventure or a lively night out, Seward has something for you! 🌿🌊🎶
