Schedule: Generally, five eight-hour days/week (includes weekends/holidays and some overtime may be required during Winter Season) Generally, four ten-hour days/week during Summer/Off Season

Summary
Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities, including kitchen equipment, heating and ventilating equipment, and plumbing fixtures. Oversee compliance regarding fire protection systems. Oversee elevator maintenance contractors and perform monthly inspections. Work with state inspector to facilitate bi-annual boiler inspections. Assist in monitoring equipment and conditions at water and wastewater plants. As a member of the Area Maintenance team, this position will also work outdoors with our guests, when needed. Essential Functions
Responsible for maintenance and repair of existing electrical, mechanical and general facilities and equipment. Daily checks of the building mechanicals. Perform maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment, including refrigeration, ovens, steam kettles, etc., at the Basin and Valley base areas.
Perform daily rounds-check on boilers, sprinkler systems, fire pump room, and fire panels
Perform routine maintenance and operations of physical structure of property, all mechanical, electrical, boilers, snowmelt, ventilation, and other related equipment which contribute to safe and efficient operation of the facility
Ensure inspections and certifications for property equipment are completed as required
Work with outside contractors, as needed
Maintain accurate records of all work activities using work order system, tracking progress to ensure completion of work
Monitor supplies and fill out requisitions for supplies when needed
Occasionally may need to ski/snowboard or operate a snowmobile to access on mountain facilities
Responsible for safe disposal of all waste materials generated during repairs and maintenance
Maintain tools and equipment; Maintain work area in safe, secure and efficient manner
Support the broader Area Maintenance Team, when needed, including assisting with parking cars, snow removal, general maintenance work, inspections, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications
Proven skills and experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs
Experience with and knowledge of various facilities structures, concepts, and repair and maintenance techniques
Experience with refrigeration and CFC Certification, a plus
Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record
Experience with work order systems and documentation
Critical thinking, problem-solving and the ability to troubleshoot effectively
Ability to handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure work environment
Perform responsibilities with a strong attention to detail
Self-motivated with effective time-management, able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to appropriately manage others’ needs and expectations, and to communicate clearly and consistently
Ability to communicate clearly in English - speak and understand verbal and written communications
Moderate skill with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to work at high altitude, and outdoors in extreme weather conditions
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds
Intermediate or better ski or snowboard ability, preferred
Ability to safely operate a snowmobile, preferred
Must be able to work weekends, holidays during the Winter Season
