Previous experience with horses is required to be considered for this position. Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent horse handling skills, offer instruction to guests, and be comfortable performing all gaits of horsemanship (walk, trot, & lope). Must be safety conscious, hardworking, and detail-oriented. The riding program includes both half day and full day outings, arena instruction, and team penning. This position will also help in providing guest transportation to the rodeo weekly or for other trips as needed.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Leading rides
- Driving the hay wagon
- Saddle and tack maintenance
- Barn and fence maintenance
- Stacking hay
- Clearing trails (chainsaw)
- Maintenance Dept Assistance
Please do not list this as your first choice if you have no previous horse handling experience. Applicants for this position must be over 21.
This position will work the bar in the evenings and must have previous bartending experience. Knowledge of mixed drinks, wines, beers, liquors, and appropriate food pairings is key. Depending on demand for the bar in a given week you may also find yourself working in other departments on the ranch or helping in the kitchen with prep and other things.
You will be responsible for cleaning the bar area, tracking inventory and ordering alcohol. You will work with the Executive Chef to order other ingredients necessary for the bar. Your past experience should enable you to work with the Dining Room Manager to create a cocktail menu and you are welcome to be creative while maintaining a western theme.
Previous serving experience is required, preferably in fine dining. Ideal candidates will be friendly and enjoy interacting with guests. Attention to detail is critical to be certain that the plates are exactly as ordered and nothing is array. Should enjoy working in a kitchen and working with others while remaining level-headed. Self-starters who can see something needs done and do it are vital to performing well on the ranch.
This position will primarily serve dinner M/T and Th/F in addition to other Guest Services shifts in Housekeeping, Kids Program, Hiking, Transportation, and Maintenance.
Duties in the dining room include but are not limited to:
- Serving guests
- Table busing
- Some food prep
- Buffet/cookout setup and tear down
- Dish pit
- Working with/instructing guest services members during serving shifts
Other duties will include work in the departments listed above though the majority of time will be spent in Dining. Should be ready and willing to pitch in as needed.
If you don't want to do the same thing each day this is the position for you! Guest Services spend most of their time working in the following jobs: serving, housekeeping, dish pit, and kids program. Based on interest and qualifications some will also be involved in guest transportation, leading hikes, fitness classes, and maintenance projects. Rather than spending your summer doing just one thing, you get to do it all!
Qualified applicants will be flexible, detail-oriented, work well as a team and individually, have a positive attitude, and be willing to do work in all areas of the ranch. It is critical to see what needs doing and do it, rather than needing to be instructed to do so. Excellent people skills are a must, and a genuine desire to provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Ability to perform all office functions including telephones, guest inquiries, email, record keeping, correspondence, and manage information flow to all departments through computer literacy. Must be able to handle multiple tasks easily and enjoy working with people. Must have strong communication skills, be prompt, and work well as a team member. Responsible for daily straightening of the gift shop and cleaning of the office area as well as occasional transportation.
This position must always be friendly and level-headed. As one of the first points of contacts this person should be a glowing example of the ranch and of western hospitality.
Previous experience required. You will, with the other chefs, feed a staff of 35 and guests numbering in the 40s and 50s. This position does considerable prep work each day in addition to the majority of staff meals each week and doing breakfast and lunch for the guests. The schedule will change at the discretion of the Executive Chef and as such, you should be flexible.
Qualified applicants will have a great attitude, willing disposition, and positive personality. They will be level-headed with a strong work ethic. The ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment is key. It is critical to be a self-starter with high standards who can work autonomously or with a team.
Experience required and must be able to demonstrate skills at a 5-Star dining level. Must work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with others. May be responsible for a full charge kitchen on various shifts, assist Executive Chef on daily basis with guest and staff lunch and dinner and outdoor cookouts. Maintain and be responsible for a clean work area. Meal production may include large groups.
As second to the Executive Chef this position is required to assist in menu planning and scheduling and function as a manager in the kitchen. When the Executive Chef is off it is the responsibility of this position to ensure the standards are maintained.
Cleanliness and food safety is critical and the kitchen is required to be cleaned after each meal. There should not be any job in the kitchen that you are unwilling to do.
Respect for your coworkers is critical to forming a strong team to deliver the exceptional food for which this ranch is known while also providing a fantastic work environment for everyone on our team.
Previous experience required. This position will follow the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests and crew. The ability to follow direction, and follow it well, is critical. Like with all of our positions we are looking for people who enjoy what they do and are happy and positive to be doing it in this beautiful place. We look for those who work well in a team and have the ability to work independently as necessary.
Should have the ability to work multiple stations and put out large quantities of high quality food as needed. Creativity is important for providing variety to our guests and crew.
As one of our massage therapists, you will be responsible for performing spa treatments on our guests and keeping the spa area clean and hygienic. Experience and professional certification in massage therapy is required for this position. Guests are to be treated as one would expect given a 5 star facility. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and great teamwork are essential qualities for the performance of this position and all ranch positions. When not performing treatments, side work will include regular cleaning of the spa facility: massage rooms, waiting area, bathrooms, workout room, yoga room, and pool area. You will also operate the laundry machines in the spa and clean and fold towels and robes. When demand for treatments makes it impossible for the therapists to complete the side work then other departments will assist as-needed. This position must also monitor supplies and inventory necessary for the performance of treatments.
This position is hourly and commission based and includes free room and board.
Experience and professional certification required to fulfill the requirements of this position. Must have a working knowledge of massage therapy as well as all other therapies to include but not limited to Seaweed & Vitamin/Mineral Wrap, Dead Sea Fango Mud Masque, Sea Salt Body Scrub, Fango Salicyl Bath, and Aromatherapy. Will be responsible for scheduling treatments for guests and arranging for sub-contractor therapists. Maintain a 5-Star attitude and demonstrate teamwork and pride in the overall appearance of the Spa facility. Responsible for supply inventory, expense budget, general maintenance, and cleanliness of Spa.
When not in the spa this position will take some Guest Services shifts, namely serving, housekeeping, and kids program.
